I will never be returning any Jewel!!!!! Ive been coming to this jewel for 2 years. Ive never had an issue. Well last night, I went to the check out, Im on the phone. This lady behind me that starts shouting at me that I cut her in line. Now Im sorry but I didnt realize that we were in the 3rd grade lunch line! I am still on the phone, so Im not going to react to this unnecessary behavior, and I would expect the same from the employees. I dont want to sound petty, but the checkout lady "sided" with the lady. She began to be rude to me; with her tone, the glaring, and questioning the products Im about to purchase. Now lets keep in mind that this lady behind me is still shouting, saying I have no manners and so on. Then I look up and see, the Jewel employee was nodding her head in agreement with this lady. The lady went to act like she was going to shove the cart at me and the employee still was nodding in agreement with the rude customer. Never in my life have I never seen such unnecessary immaturity from TWO grown women.

This Jewel food store is very clean and well stocked. It is very crowded now that there is no competition. Dominicks has closed down and Food 4 Less has moved to Melrose Park. We were told that Caputos would be moving in last year, but as of yet nothing is going on over there. That being said, the prices at this Jewel-Osco are excessively high! The produce is always fresh and many varieties of apples can be found, however, the prices are almost double what I paid at Food 4 Less. Unless we get some competition soon, I will have to travel to Itasca and DuPage county to do my grocery shopping. There is even a Jewel on Irving Park Road that has a better cost ratio. Thanks Jewel for hanging around the Chicagoland area and not leaving us.

I am sad to say yes this location has racist employees. I was shocked by this young mans behavior. I stood there for over 5 minutes waiting to check out at 7:15am no line just employees that were not willing. It was only until people started lining up behind me thats when actually started helping me. The people behind got the hellos and good mornings, wow I was shocked, I just got my stuffed tossed in a bag and pushed to the side for pickup. : (.

This place used to be somewhat reasonably priced, now it seems everything has gone up significantly, often 5-6 items of produce are is over 30 dollars and sometimes over 50. I would steer clear of this place if you want to save money

Asked the butcher about the pricing of certain meats. He said I have no idea, I dont eat meat, and then blew me off. Everybody else was wonderful.
