Ive been shopping this store off and on for several years and there is never no more than 1 or 2 salespeople who double as cashier and if the salesperson/cashier is busy you can forget it. After this week I dont think I will be using this store anymore because a few items on the website was on sale and they would not honor Internet price. However, friend advised me eldersburg location honored Internet price. Manager/salesman told me Internet price lower because it takes 5 days or more to ship,buy in the store you dont have to wait. What kind of bullcrap excuse is that? When you can order online and they deliver in sometimes 1 to 3 days? I would have rather he told me no without phony excuse.That is why a lot of businesses are loosing customers to the internet.Also I ordered Tuesday all products I needed from Amazon and received Thursday with free shipping. Dont get me wrong but I would rather support the local (brick /box store) but some businesses are forcing you to make more and more purchases on line.

Booked to have my dog groomed a week in advance. I go to their vetco clinic to get the rabies shot for my dog 3 days before my scheduled date because its required in order to get grooming. I get there with the collar tag they gave me with the specific number on it saying it lasts all of 2017 and they turn me away saying they need the actual paper work and I would have to reschedule another week later. Its my first time going to a petco after usually going to petsmart for my grooming. This store nor this chain will get another dime from me again. And the groomer was far from helpful or reasonable. She basically treated my time like it wasnt a concern or that I should simply let it go. Petsmart will now be my permanent groomer as Ive had no problems there.

Ive been to this store a few times, generally there are ok. There was one employee at the register who was rude and not very helpful. I had a question and asked "escuse me, do you know if this leash would work for a large cat" and he just leaned into my face and say "uh HELLOOO"... i guess because i didnt hear him say hi and didnt say hi back. After i said i was sorry and hello, asked my question again and he sneered and cut me off "yeah no one has cats here so i couldnt tell you". Maybe he was having a bad day... but i noticed this kind of attitude with employees in this area.

Most of the staff, at this petco, generally nice. But theres one lady whos a bit rude. Im not sure if shes always worked there or they just keep hiring one lady thats rude over the years Ive frequented this store. But dont ask her simple question about the stock in store. She became very defensive. Staff at other pet stores are more polite and helpful. Kindness goes along way in retail.

I was in the store this evening purchasing snacks for my dog. The customer service at this store is terrible. The employees are inattentive and rude as they were talking negatively to customers about other customers. And it is sad that I will not be shopping there because my dog loves their treats! I will also tell my friends to not shop at Petco in Owings Mills.

I agree, the grooming here is really excellent. The dogs come home happy, and they are treated right. They are not groomed behind closed doors, so you can see that they have nothing to hide. They are gentle with hesitant dogs. Id give you the name of my favorite groomer there, but shes already hard to get an appt. with! Highly recommended.

While Im not a huge fan of the big box stores, and I dont like the fact that theres never enough staff to help customers, I will say that the grooming staff is excellent. Julia and Chris are the best. I have been taking my dog here since she was a puppy and I wouldnt take her anywhere else.

I would only give them one star because I had to pick one. Worst experience I came in before closing after my fish passed away I was rushed and spoken to very rudely. They told me many times to basically leave because they close at 9. I will never go there ever again.

The customer service is not the greatest. We come here about once a week and there is never an employee in the reptile section. We usually have to wait for them to call someone and a quick trip ends up taking forever!

There the best store in town they welcome you when you enter the door and they help you fine what your looking for i love this store and thats the only store i would goto to get my pet stuff

Their Google+ listing has incorrect hours; they actually close at 7:00 PM on Sundays. They do not have any Oxbow food, which we use for our rats; Petsmart down the road has it, though.

Its your standard Petco. Its well maintained. The parking lot is always hectic, but there are handicap spots should you require them.
