This store is awesome. The people working there are very friendly and knowledgeable about pets. I live in Alexandria and could shop at Potomac Yards but I prefer to make the trip to Falls Church because of how I am treated by the employees. One particular employee named Jeff is who I usually go to for my pet needs. For the longest time one of my cats had chronic constipation, I use to have to take him to the vet for an enema every couple of months. After having a conversation with Jeff about my pets condition he recommended I use a 1/4 teaspoon of miraLAX with some wet food on a daily basis, I figured it couldnt hurt so I gave it a try, Since then my cat has been as regular as rain. I asked my vet why they had not recommended this to me and they replied that they had. I surely would have remembered if they did and after taking my cat in for several enemas I would think they would have reminded me. Anyway, I really like this store but beware of going on Saturdays because the have a dog adoption event and its very crowded and the dogs urinate and defecate all over the place. However, the store miraculously seems very clean and does not stink like one would assume, when I make my visit to the store. I prefer to go on weekdays when the store is less crowded and the dogs are not there.

I have never written a review before but my experience at FallsChurch Petsmart frusturated me enough to create an a account. I took my four pound 11 month old puppy there and it was AWFUL. I travel a lot and have been fortunate to have found groomers that I now realize are great after this experience. I just moved here and went to Petsmart because I didnt know where else to go and I like to get my dog groomed every three to four weeks. I dont know how the rest of the groomers are but I worked with Julia. She claimed that my puppys ears were too matted to brush and she had to shave them (since I groom her so often and NEVER have had this poblem before I take this to be laziness on her part). Then I get her back and her toes feel like they were not trimmed at all. Julia informed me (by yelling across the room) that it is extra to grind the nails. Im sorry, $50.00 for my 4 pound dog did not include grinding of the nails? The staff, especially Julia, was rude and disrespectful. It reminded me of a restaurant that doesnt care about their customers experience, they just want their pay and quick turnover. I will NEVER get my dog groomed there again.

I never felt like I got good care at Banfield. They didnt always remember my dogs and often would medicate them even if they couldnt find a cause for the symptoms. I later talked to an emergency veterinarian who said that Banfield over vaccinates and over medicates. I also recently moved and canceled my dogs wellness plans. They charged me for the remaining payment for the entire year, and then when I was back in the area that year visiting family, my dog got sick, but they wouldnt see her unless I re-enrolled her in the wellness plan. It was such a rip off! They overcharged me and then wouldnt see my pet! DONT GO HERE! I would just get health insurance for your pet through the ASPCA and go to a private vet.

Sometimes you meet someone who goes beyond the norm. with expert information and customer service. This is what we experienced with Allison at Falls Church Pet Store in the bird and reptile department. Not only was she able to answer many questions (and I mean many), she verified much of the research I have done on line. SHE REALLY KNOWS HER STUFF! Thank you so much Allison... you deserve a promotion!

TERRIBLE experience. They told me when I dripped off my dog that it would take 3-4 hours. So I went back after 3.5 hours and they werent done. No apology or explanation, just that u had to wait for one more hour. I have no idea what kind of job they will Di, but u have very low expectations. Very disappointing.

If I had more than two thumbs, Id put them all up for Stefanie in the grooming department!! My dog is SO calm with her, unlike anyone else who has ever touched his nails. When she left the Rt 1 location, I asked where she went....trust me, she is totally worth the extra drive out to Falls Church!!

Not the best. Made an appointment for Saturday at 7:00 a.m. for grooming and got there on time to have to deal with "your appointment was yesterday at 11:00 a.m. The representative wasnt the most proactive person either. Not doing it again.

Music is my Life !

I just want to mention that my today experience at this store was for 5 stars. Guy who was working with aquariums his name is Rich was really professional, help me a lot with my aquarium problems. Thank you very much and see you soon..

I have groomed my pom mix and my Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever at this groomers and they do a terrific job. The dogs actually like the people who work there and wag all over when they recognize them. I cant recommend them more.

I bring my dog Maggie to the petsmart groomers every 6 weeks or so to get groomed, and she always comes out looking fabulous! The people are friendly (and always willing to chat), and do an excellent job. Highly recommended!!

This is a terrific PetSmart. Big, well maintained, top notch staff, easy parking, a breeze to run in and out and carry on with your day. I always make a point to stop here if I happen to be in Virginia and its along my way.

Friendly Service much better options and variety items for your pets than other stores . Always busy have a pet adoption day mostly they announce prior to adoption day usually on saturdays.

Dont ever buy a bearded dragon from there unless you want to have a dead one in a few weeks. Twice i have bought a bearded dragon from them and in 4 weeks its dead.
