This store is awesome and definitely deservers better reviews lately. As others have said, the prices at Pet Valu tend to be lower than those at other retail stores, though the selection is not as vast. The new manager has made many improvements to the store, notably making it more organized. She also recommended food to me for my overweight dog that over the past month has given him a much more sleek form and amusingly enough much less gas. My dog really enjoys the K9 granola treats almost as much as my room mate. He just cant get enough of them. (The roommate or the dog, Im not telling). I like to think of myself as being thrifty and this place defiantly fits my budget while meeting my needs for a friendly and knowledgeable staff.

I have been buying food, treats, leashes, and toys for my dog at this store for 10 years. They are great! I love the "new" location (I know its been a couple of years). The employees are wonderful, helpful, and knowledgeable. The prices are MUCH better than other similar-type stores. I always feel like they really care about me and most importantly about my dog.

Went for the dog wash. Clean, well stocked, great water pressure for scrubbing long haired dogs! One of the sales associates was awkward and kind of just stood really close and stared at my dogs and followed us around when we tried to shop afterward. I assume she was new ... Or just a really awkward person.

I like the self-serve, standing dog bathing station. Shampoo and towels, and a waterproof apron help, but its the cord and ring bolts that let me use two hand to clean the dog that make it great. $10, and worth it if your dog hates baths. Reserve a time on weekends.

Self dog bathing available. Premium dog and cat food/treats. Good quality accessories. A little on the high side of the price point. So far the employees know there stuff. They also have cats in the store that are up for adoption.

Big variety of stuff. Helpful staff. Im shy about bathing in public, so I havent tried those facilities. DONT EAT THE FREE SAMPLES they put out; theyre horrible — taste like dog food.
