My son asked to go bowling yesterday. My wife and I decided it was a great opportunity to make the trip from Olympia to the Tacoma store, a 60 mile round trip. We had been wanting to go to Bass Pro shop for a while anyway. When you walk in, the lobby is beautiful with the fire place and all! Thats where the fun ended... Our son spotted the bowling right away. We went in got in line and checked the bowling prices. It would be $14.99 to bowl since it was a Monday, great! The customers in front of us had asked to speak to a manager... they were confused about being charged the weekend price of $24.99 when it was a Monday. I did not hear the whole conversation but in the end the manager let them bowl for the $14.99. I was then also confused about the price...No where was it advertised that is would be $24.99 to bowl on a Monday. I asked the manager how much it would be to bowl, he said it would be $24.99 I then asked "why?" he explained that it was a holiday MlK day so you charge weekend prices!! I said well it is not a weekend and that it is advertised for $14.99. I was not paying $24.99 to bowl. He started telling my wife and I about how many games we could bowl in an hour and that it was a good price. Good price or not he was not willing to honor the price that was advertised! Even when he had just honored the advertised price for the people in front of us. Another customer who had been waiting over heard our conversation and was shocked it was going to be $24.99 to bowl when it was advertised on their price list for $14.99! in the end I told the manager I was not paying a different price than the advertised price to bowl. I left with a very upset toddler who was very excited to bowl with the "fishies" the other family left as well after hearing the store was not honoring the price that was advertised. We took our son bowling else where. It was not just about the price. I was not going to give my money to a store that would not honor their own prices and with such poor customer service. My experience at Bass Pro shop was horrible and very upsetting for my son. What was supposed to be a fun family day turned our with my son in tears! needless to say I will not be shopping there again. I will stick to Cabelas in Lacey! they have much better customer service! also on a side note the bowling looked super fun with one exception... the huge T.VS ! when I take my family out for an activity it is to get us away from the TV... not have even bigger ones in front of us. it really took away from the beauty and coolness of the bowling area.

We have driven by many times on our way up north but we stopped in a week ago and i dont onow what everyone is complaining about on here about service many there just being over picky. But we recieve great customer service. From department to department we had people ask if we were doing ok, we had a older gentlemen in the archery area answer all our qustions about Bow Fishing. My husband was taken into the lot of where they keep their used boat stock at and told him about a few boats they had. Thr boat show room was clean and tidy. We found a TON of camo jackets and pants on clearance for prices along with the mens clothing section and shoe section was greatly reduced.. The store was spotless. The changing rooms were clean. We Also had a pleasant experience with our cashier. We laughed about a few things and she said have a great day. We then put all our product in the truck and went back in and played 2 games of bowling. The whole atmosphere of the bowling alley was BY FAR the coolest alley ive ever seen. Theres TONS of fishes and sharks(fake so dont worry) hanging from the ceiling and the whole bar area is built into a a old ship reck. I cant say anything about the food because we did not order anything. But the bar area was beautiful setting. We had 2 ppl help us check in and fill out the paperwork for the shoes. The shoes were clean and didnt smell. ( thats my fear with renting bowling shoes) we then had a waiter come once we were at our lane and asked if we wanted any food. The lanes had realistic ocean seens on them and the ceiling above the lanes were wavy like your looking up from underneath the ocean. To top it off they had a bottom of a boat on the ceiling to make it look even more realistic. Ppl need to remember retail associates arent your maids or servants. This store is huge, reasonably priced, and clean inside and out.. and I had no complaints in the customer service and will be coming back..

Well me and my dad came in to look at rifles as we introduced ourselves new to the gun world. We came in not even knowing how any of the procedures work to legally purchase a firearm. We head over to the hunting section where all the rifles are neatly and organized in a professional matter. We took a number to be serviced (5 mins) and a clerk named Zach came and helped us with all the questions we had related to firearms. Not only did he answer the questions nice and thoroughly, he guided us step by step on each instructions that we will encounter in future references. His customer service was outstanding compared to Sportco in fife, where they just stood around eye balling you cause my attire at the time was inappropriate. Zach, without any judgement, treated me just as he treated the person before and after. We all understand the term "Dont judge a book by its cover" and zach, in a professional manner, had no problem of treating any of his customers with 5 start service. He politely advised us tips that will help us at ease when entering a firearm facility. And just like that, on to his next customer. (Btw; he went out of his way while processing us, to help another customer who had quick questions as the other staffs were busy.. His multi talented skills are what differentiates a normal sales clerk, to a clerk like zach!)

I called this place to ask if they had a certain item in stock. The phone rang for just over a minute. Hung up, tried again. Someone answer after I think the 5th or 6th ring, asked what I was needing help with told her I was looking for a certain boot. She kindly connected me to the footwear, where again the phone rang. This time until I got an answering machine, probably about 30 to 40 seconds. I was in a bind and didnt know any place else, otherwise I would have waited to get boots. So I drive down. Walk in, let out an impressed whistle as I look up and see an extravagant entry way. Guy at the turnstiles was helpful and nice. Start looking at boots, was there for about ten minutes. I cant try much on as the boots are kept in an employee only area, so I think oh there must be someone near by or a call button. No such thing. End up trying on the show boots and figure out what I want. Next I have to hunt down an associate who, while courteous, didnt know anything about the boots or much of the products in the store for that matter. I wouldnt expect every employee to know everything, but I mean shouldnt you at least know something about some of the products? Be able to talk intelligently about them? Bought my boots and got out of there.
