I would give them 0 stars if I could. I had an appointment at 10:15 a.m. for my daughter; we had been waiting for more than 30 minutes. No explanation or apologies for the delay was given. As the doctor walked in — he did not introduce himself clearly (!), and on my very polite and courtesy remark about the waiting time he replied in very rude manner that this is not the fast-food restaurant and I do not need to apologize. Also he allowed himself to make a disparaging comment regarding my daughters insurance. All his statements were made in front of me andmy daughter in very categorical and rude manner. I am not a person who practices the helicopter parenting, I cannot be offended or something like that without very serious reasons, and I do not expect a "very special" treatment from doctors and, generally, from anyone else. But I have to say that this doctors bedside manners were absolutely inadequate. I would like to know his name to report him to the State Licensing Authorities. As a customer, I am not supposed to wait 30 minutes without any explanations and/or an apology from the staff, no matter the situation and what kind of insurance I have. Also, I believe that the doctor has no right to make any comments about patients insurance in context of waiting time — at all. You accept that insurance — fine, do your best, or do not accept it at all, but profiling your patients based on their insurances is unprofessional. If there is a kind of emergency with previous patients, or anything else that prevents the doctor to proceed with an appointment on time — not a problem, but let your customer know, be respectful and courteous. If we were told by anyone like Excuse me, sir, we have an emergency with previous patient, are you able to wait or let us re-schedule your appointment — the whole picture would be a little bit different. It’s called; respecting other people’s time. From the medical stand point, he did not explain the details about my daughter’s health, because he was in a hurry and apparently he didn’t care for the type of insurance we had. We will visit another provider for a re-test and getting a second opinion from our own expenses. The final cherry on that cake: at the beginning, we were asked if we wanted additional medical services for some small amount of money, apparently those services were on “SALE” — enough said. Sapienti sat. Bottom line: avoid this place like a plague.

All of these reviews are accurate. The staff is only interested in up-selling, they are combative and rude. I specifically told the "salesperson" that I did NOT want the premium anti-glare and did NOT want poly carbonate. I got both and after arguing for 75 minutes over 2 visits, they fixed them. When I asked for a refund for the difference between the normal plastic lens and normal coating I was told, repeatedly, that because they had to rework the lenses I wasnt getting a refund. Only after another 30 minutes of arguing, did they finally reimburse a portion of what I paid. They constantly lied to me about refunds not possible due to insurance (but eventually gave refund, that the doctor wasnt in (when she was standing right behind them). Horrible, horrible experience. If you must go here, get a detailed, line-item invoice to show what you are paying and what you are paying for!

I needed a pair of sunglasses and was sick of buying cheap pairs that didnt fit my face right and broke every few weeks. I checked out a couple places, but I wound up picking up several pairs of sunglasses here. To be honest I only have a vague idea about what kind of glasses fit best outside of how they feel, so I needed some help. They have a HUGE selection of unique glasses and they spent a lot of time answering questions and finding different ones for me to try on until I found one I liked. They also told me the truth if something didnt look right, which I really appreciated. I eventually settled on a few pairs of raybans and I love them. I get compliments all the time and that was not happening with my other glasses. I felt taken care of and got a great deal, so I am very happy. If you need glasses of any kind, I strongly encourage you check them out.

The ladies who work here are always very helpful. They took us in when we were on Medicaid and couldnt find an eye doctor for my 4 yr old and even though we are now on private insurance we still make the 30 min drive here because theyve been nothing short of amazing. Today we came to pick up my sons new glasses and both my kids had fallen asleep on the car ride so instead of me carrying in two sleeping kids, they came out and brought the glasses to me so I wouldnt have to struggle. That is customer service and that is why we continue to be their customers. Thank you Eye Q Optique!

I dont recommend people with insurance to go to this office , because they gave me the wrong information that my visit will be covered by my insurance and then changed the procedure code and sent me a bill explaining that they dont know what will be covered and what not before the doctor will see the patient . Why not to tell this honestly before the appointment! When I scheduled an appointment I told them about the purpose of my visit.

Visited the office with my father for an eye exam. They try to charge us money for the service covered by our insurance. In additional they measured the vision wrongly. Office did not handle the situation very well and tried to blame us for the wrong exam. We went to Costco to redo the exam and clearly identified the difference. I dont recommend this place.

Very impressed with the doctor. Dr. Kacherova did a very thorough exam, the medical information she explained was very clear and I appreciated the courtesy from all of the staff. The selection is very impressive. I found very unique styles as well as trendy brands reasonably priced. I will keep spreading the word :) thank you!

I had a great experience at their Buffalo Grove Store. I typically do not like the annual eye ritual. I also do not like picking out my own glasses. They were kind, respectful, knowledgeable, and responsive. They helped me to find a great pair of glasses. The quality of the lenses are amazing. I will be coming back!

Bad experience... Bad after sales... They didnt tell about eyeglass protection plan when I purchased the eyeglass from them and when I went to them for a repair - they rudely rejected saying you didnt buy protection plan. Buy a new one... took sometime to give me the original prescription. Not recommended

Worst experience ever! Their eye exam is a rushed and pushed through process. They rely purely on their unreliable equipment and are clearly greedy, overpriced and inexperienced ! I highly recommend going somewhere else!
