All the products are in line with all other Petcos, but with this particular location there seems to be a complete lack of care for the animals there most of which I have noticed are the fish. I would never, never, ever buy a fish from this store ever again. 75% of the tanks had at least one dead fish in them and it was clear they were fairly recent meaning even if they take the dead ones out once a day at least one fish was dying in that tank a day. Thats quite a lot of fish dying during the work hours. Ive also seen them pick up rocks to better catch the fish for me and two or three dead fish will float around devoid of color and partially eaten. Ive had issues of the white spot disease going through my tank because of fish bought at this location. Its just very dissappointing. They care nothing for the health of the animals they are trying to find homes for.

I bought a spider from this location (this would be my 5th spider, 1st from Petco), I got it home and discovered that it only had 7 legs. I called and after talking to 3 different people they finally admitted to selling a spider that has 7 legs at full price. They offered to return it or give a discount of 30%. Foolishly I took the discount. The conditions were wrong for that spider at the store and I wanted to help it get back to full health. Well after giving it a very nice home, yesterday the spider died. I called and they said that they only give $ back when it is within 15 days. I am pretty disappointed at about that. I will never buy another pet from them again.

I was in the Fridley Petco last week and was very happy with my shopping experience! I appreciate that the employees in this location are always so pleasant and truly seem committed to the animals. They frequently have adoption events with local rescues on the weekends, have well-cared for adoption cats housed in the store, and even host rescue bunnies--a cause very close to my heart. I have lived in Fridley about 6 months, and this is the only place I shop for pet supplies. They were doing a fundraiser to help rescue animals, as Petcos often do, as well. I have been in many Petcos across the state, and this one is certainly one of my favorites! Recommended! :)

I go to petco strictly for supplies for my aquarium. I stopped in a week ago to grab 1 bottom feeder and possibly another fish. The staff member whom helped me was very rude told me and my sister that our nephew was being raised wrong due to how our tanks are set up. Each of us have a 10 gallon I have tropical fish and am upgrading. My sister has gold fish they sold her and told her itd be fine to place them in a 10 gallon. She told my sister it was wrong and mistreating the fish who will die. She than refused to sell me a bottom feeder of any kind but allowed me to purchase a marble molly. Needless to say Im taking my business elsewhere.

prices are a bit high, but cheaper than Chuck & Dons (or whatever it is). And I get better service at Petco. My dog loves shopping with me there. The ladies in the grooming department are awesome! Sadie may not like getting her nails clipped, or taking a bath, but the work is always well done, and Sadie is treated like a queen. I do not shop anywhere ese for her food now. (Oh, they have pet food reps there quite often who can tell you about their foods and offer you coupons on request)

No petstore is going to be perfect with all knowledgeable staff members, at this store I have found some knowledgeable staff members along with some not so knowledgeable. Everything they say should also be backed up with your own research, do not take their advice as fact. Always do research before buying a pet, know how to properly care for it, and closely watch for signs of poor health before buying a pet. They do have a wonderful return policy on freshwater fish.

Helpful staff. They are able to answer questions about the different pets and the care needed for them. They often have pets available for adoption from various non-profits. They do bring "back stock" items in the adoption area. They stage the items there prior to putting the product on the floor. It tends to be pallets which have items stacked taller than my height. It becomes an eye sore and makes it difficult to view the pets which are up for adoption.

Its a Petco but they they have the walnut based litter and its near the Target so we pop in there once in a while. Last time I was there I noticed the refrigerator for the Fresh Pet food had huge gaps around the top, middle and both sides of the doors. I mentioned it to the cashier because the temp was reading in the low 40s. Hopefully they get that fixed.

First sold us dead snails and now this time my phone number didnt work for perks when Ive had it and used it for months. Cashier girl working just now, was rude and talked to me like I was dumb and didnt know how to sign up, asking me if I want to sign up. Every time we go here its terrible.

Needed help buying supplies for our new Cuban knight anoles and Lindsey and other staff members helped us tremendously. They taught us a lot about what our little friends needed and how to help them get healthy. Super satisfied with our visit!

One of the better Petco Ive been too. Need to stop here quite frequently for my aquatic reptile and small mammal needs. They always had the basic supplies I needed for my pets. They also do an excellent job maintaining a clean store.

They have a larger assortment of things then Petsmart. Seems to be a bit nicer too. The staff is very helpful. Idea, they should maybe also have same day adoption bunnies. The ones they have have a different system.

Even though this store is rather new it seems to be a little more messy then others I have been to. Other then that the grooming staff is great, my dog can be very difficult, but they still get the job done.

I like this store and how helpful and knowledgeable the staff is, but the grooming staff treated my little dog very poorly. I was very unhappy with their treatment of myself and my scared little dog.

Just sitting waiting for someone to notice me in the fish section.... Also. They dont seem to know that corals require a lot of light and flow. This place looks like a coral grave yard

Friendly staff. We brought our puppy with to walk around as we picked up a few things for him. Everything was easy to find, and it offered a wide selection. Clean and open layout.
