I have been coming here since I was in High School and the evolution has been pretty great. Heres why: Food court was lacking however with the addition of Red Robin & Chipotle Next door....all my cravings are satisfied :) The atmosphere is pretty chill and is keeps getting better with more stores coming like Charlotte Rouse!! When it is packed...FRI, SAT & Holidays, the parking can be a headache so please be prepared. Lastly, the only thing that kept from giving it 5 stars is the hours on Sunday, too short because they close at 6 pm.....bummer. That just means online shopping or wait another week until my packed schedule clears.

This plaza has been around for decades and continues to strive in providing locals as well as visitors an opportunity to find the treasures they seek. Affectionately known as the HIP, the Harlem and Irving Plaza offers anyone the right amount of physical activity in walking from store to store or convenient parking near the food court if you just want a sampling of various options in food they offer at the food court an barely break a sweat walking to it. Ample parking is the key to a successful business and the HIP offers plenty. Happy shopping at this great location on the north side of Chicago.

I went to shop and bought a 300 gift card at the guest service. And was gonna shop until I got an attitude from guest service rude lady name Linda. Cause I asked a question. Now they lost my business forever. Store are good but I feel bad that they lost a business due to an employee attitude. And Linda at the guest services theathened to call a security cause I requested supervisor. Management deff needs to hear and do something about it.

This mall has been around for a very long time. I remember going here as a kid. Recently moved back into the area and needed luggage, so I went to kohls. Also walked the mall which has changed a lot. It has everything one would need at a mall, a nice variety of stores and is clean. Not a lot of people there and none of the bangers hanging out there like before. Place has cleaned up its act. Will go back

This mall was really nice and well taken care of back in the day. Dont really like going now cause of all the little teenagers that tend to go after school and just roam the mall being obnoxious and make noise. Ill go if I know what I need and can find it there. Which is typically the Best Buy, target or khols. Other then that, I tend to stay away. The mall itself is okay though. Its just the crowd.

Particularly disliked Carsons at this location. The salesperson who rang me up was rude and unfriendly. I had to announce myself so she notices that I was there. I wrote the management team to let them know what happened. No response. So...LET THE BUYER BEWARE. If any of you venture into Carsons on a Sunday, be prepared to have bad service. It appeared that theyre on a skeleton crew.

You will find most of your favorite stores under one roof here. And Target in case you need to buy some domestic every day stuff. Plenty of good coffee shops including Starbucks and a food court. Plenty of parking area. Pleasing ambience. I went there to get new glasses. Very happy with the lenscrafters at this mall. They provided awesome customer service. Very happy with my new glasses

The HIP has changed a lot over the past decade. Used to be nice, but now has become a spot for mostly sports shoe stores. The mall management needs to upgrade security and learn from Westfield Management how to create a great atmosphere in a mall with a combination of different stores. Theres room for redemption, but the mall owner doesnt seem to be too keen on changing for the better.

Parking can be pretty crazy and it can be pretty difficult to get out of the mall. Some of the major stores dont have exits like most malls. We were trying to get out toward the south side (Target), but couldnt find an exit without going up to the parking garage. So we gave up and drove around the block to our next destination. Otherwise, seems to be a typical mall.

I grew up going to the HIP for many reasons. i found that the traffic around the mall has actually gotten better, and thus i dont mind coming nearly as much as i once did. The layout of the mall hasnt changed much over the last decade, but the stores have. Either way, not a bad place to run errands assuming not around christmas time.

Theres lots of stores and places to eat. I especially like the massage chairs located off the parking area as you walk towards Target. $1.00 gets you 3 minutes. $5.00 gets you 15 minutes. Very awesome! And, you can walk around the mall to get your exercise. How cool is that? Sometimes I dont spend any money at all.

Good place to get items, but super-busy inside and in the traffic around the structure. Parking is the hardest part about this mall as it was originally a shopping center and kept getting added onto so the parking is unusual with three different sections in different places that arent always expected.

For what its worth, its an all right place to browse. Its too small of a venue, however, and you cant help but feel cramped, especially when its rush hour. Do try out the Red Robin here. In my opinion (and out of all the chain locations Ive been to) youll feel more at home out of the rest of them.

This is a convenient mall for me to get to as I need to take only 1 bus that lets you off in front of mall. Its also nice that the stores are inside. I go here once every few months & shop only at a few stores. Plus they have a Red Robin restaurant inside that serves awesome food.

There are plenty of stores, the food court has a great selection of eats, and the Target attached to it is utterly massive. If youd like to take a trip back to the 90s, depressing kiosks and all, them the décor of this mall will not fail you in the slightest bit.

I always find what I need n more. good prizes. many sales . all my favorite stores under one roof. enjoy walking from one end to the other. Even just window shopping is fun. and the food court is incredible. from fast foods to complete meals reasonably priced.
