Rant and PSA: Recently purchased a stove and refrigerator from Gently Used Appliance in Newnan, Ga. Being on a fixed income I could not afford the big box costs for new appliances while I would have gladly given them a great review, however that could be further from truth. The owner of this business was absent from customers concerns. The original stove we purchased could have blown up our house up, we finally got in touch with him and he says that his personnel handled the original situation poorly, then we were given the opportunity to come pick out another stove and that stove failed after 2 days. We requested our original stove be returned to our home, was told they werent sure if it was still there only to find out it had been reconditioned and made ready for resale. Oven was returned to us only to have a smell of gas in the house and decided to get a competent service company who will be here tomorrow. Now here is the kicker when we asked for the money for the stove be returned we were told that they would reimburse us for our meals until we got this resolved this was over $400 out of our pocket over the New Years holiday that we really didnt have When receipts were provided owner felt that $100 for meals was fair (really?) so we went ahead and accepted the money when I went to pick up money signed off on being satisfied with stove situation here is the other problem after signing off on the paperwork I received check and employee decided that he wanted to put his hands on me. I told him to get his hands off of me and left. I have since been wearing his review page out on my displeasure. Owner has yet to apologize for the situation. I would stay as far away from Gently Used Appliance and they are opening a new location in LaGrange,Ga be advised and steer clear of this so called business. Rant and PSA done for now!!

My wife and I have used Gently Used Furniture and Appliances before and have always been incredibly pleased. The first time we went, I was unable to go with my wife. The service guys were very respectful to her and took the time to explain which machine might suit her needs best (we were buying a washer and dryer.) They didnt treat her like she was wasting their time or belittle her in any way! The next time we used them, we bought a (gas) stove from them. The kind that I purchased didnt have the right type of filter (natural gas or propane tank.) The owner ordered the filters needed for the oven and only charged me what his cost was. Overall this is a great company that we will definitely be using again. In fact, its our first stop for our upcoming dishwasher purchase! Would definitely use again and again.

Bad business! Dont waste your money! We have made the mistake of purchasing two sets of washers and dryers from this buisness. Each purchase came with a one month warranty. We paid $279 for the first set. The washer lasted just a little over three months. The dryer went out soon after. As our warranty had already expired, we were forced to buy a new set. We paid $290 for the second set. It lasted just slightly over two months. On this second set we asked them if they could send someone out. Just to come out and access the problem cost $45. He said that the motor had gone out on the washer and would cost is another $125 to have it fixed. With the money we have spent on the two sets, in such a short amount of time, we could have bought a brand new set. Lesson learned!

very disappointed DO NOT buy anything from this place. purchased an upright freezer in may 2015 it has already stop freezing. they offer 30 day warranty which they did not honor. we purchased freezer the first day after they delivered it started giving us issues, technician was very rude,they gave us the run around, they did not fix problem.We Will be also reporting company to Better Business Bureau(BBB). We purchased other appliances from them before did not have this Problem, Very Disappointed!!! We will not ever buy from them again!!! The only reason one star was left from us is because you have to leave at least one star to leave a review, otherwise i would not give them any stars!!!

started out with a dishwasher. Stainless steel Kitchenaid model with all the bells and whistles. Purchased at a great price and they delivered and installed FREE! They even took the old one away for no charge. Then because all my other appliances were white, I decided to get a stainless fridge and stove. I wanted a gas stove, changing over from electric and they found me a BEAUTIFUL Kitchenaid Semi-commercial one WITH a convection oven! The fridge i got is a Fridigaire double door with ice and water in the door. Beautiful! Now my entire kitchen looks beautiful and runs very efficiently! When you go in, tell them you saw this review!

Were sold a dryer that doesnt dry (bum heating element we think, but we are afraid to look at it because we probably wont be able to take it back if we open it), and had to move it ourselves and we live in a second floor apartment... Im guessing they didnt test it because they told my husband that they hadnt had it very long. Now we have two wet loads of wash that will likely mildew because we have no place to hang clothes. AND now we have to get the dryer back down the stairs and back to them without their help for a replacement that is also not guaranteed to work. I think I trust craigslist over these people now.

Bought a side by side refrigerator for $350 + $45 to deliver for my rental house. It stopped cooling properly within the first 2 weeks of the 30 day warranty. They sent a repairman out 4 different times to no avail. Said would come for a final repair or replace....still waiting, called back for my money back. and got the run around again. Would not give me the owners name or phone number...said they would have the owner called me.....STILL WAITING???. Also, they put used parts on for repair. Junk....stay away from this place!!!

Sold my family appliances that didnt work. On top of that, the appliances were INFESTED with roaches that in turn infested the house they were installed in. When they were contacted about the dishwasher that was not working (again), we were lied to, yelled at, and even cursed out. Avoid this place. They are dishonest and no business in my opinion should feel that it is acceptable to curse at the customers.

Spend the extra money and buy a new appliance (not from them). I had two fridges go out and lost the food in the freezer. If the appliance dies under warranty they will try to replace it with a much cheaper piece of crap and then try to up charge you for something nicer. The only reason they are getting 2 stars is the people that work there are friendly however the owner is a little shady.
