My husband and I bought a freezer and washing machine a few years ago from Crossville Tire and we were very pleased with the couteous and friendly service. In fact, the freezer was delivered the day we picked it out and we hadnt even paid for it and were told to just stop by when we were in town and take care of the bill. Then, we moved to a new home last year and I called them to see if they would tranfer the two appliances for us to our new home. I was told they could do that and just let them know when we were ready. Well, other issues got in the way for one reason or another and we were finally ready to have them moved. I called the other day in the morning and the man I spoke to said that he wasnt in the position to make a decision and that he would talk to his boss and get back to me on how much it would cost.We waitied all day and the call never came. I called again in late afternoon the next day and was told to call again the next morning to talk to J---.We called this morning and J--- informed my husband that they wouldnt help us move the appliances due to the fear of liability issues. We can live with that but why wernt we told that when I made the first call? Why didnt they have the courtesy to call and let us know that their policy had changed? Needless to say, we wont be buying any more appliances from Crossville Tire. Not because they wouldnt move the appliances but because they ignored us, their customer. We have sent a lot of people to them over the years but not anymore.

Moved into our new home and needed a washer and dryer, a neighbor suggested Crossville Tire. Went to the store Friday at noon and a very friendly and knowledgeable staff promptly took care of us. When we asked about delivery we were told "they are loading it on the truck now - are you going straight home?" Courteous and careful installers got us up and running, by 2:00 we were washing clothes. That never happens in Chicago.
