We needed to replace lost hardware for a piece of furniture we had bought 9 years ago. My spouse went to one of the large retail stores and gave them the hardware description provided by the manufacturer. Their staff indicated that they didnt know what she was asking for and suggested that she buy either the wrong product or product that was a different size than what we needed. So we went to Handyman. Scott knew exactly what we were looking for and spent considerable time making sure we got the right size pieces. Some of what we needed were dowel rod pieces cut into 30" lengths. Once he found us the right size dowel, Scott cut it up into the right size pieces at no additional charge. Their knowledgable staff, adequate inventory and great customer service made sure that we got our moneys worth.

While they do not have the quantity and variation of items that a Lowes or Home Depot may have, they have a lot of the things you need at fair and reasonable prices. The people that work there know their stuff and can give you recommendations on what to do to get it fixed. It is a bonus that they carry many of the items that the houses in this area were built with. As an example, they had the parts to the original gas barbecue pit that came with my house 40+ years ago. Lowes and Home Depot did not have that.

I have always had great experiences at both of the Florissant Handyman stores. Its a very nice, family run, local store that continues to give back to the community even in tough times. I just dont see a reason to go to the other big hardware stores when you have a Handyman near by, in fact its the only hardware store I will go to. I honestly dont know what my husband and I would do without our local handyman hardware!

I love all the True Values! Being that I am a carpenter-business owner-need material right now, Handyman normally have it on the shelf. Typically I have every tool I need to work, but whether I am working in South County or North County Handyman True Value has the tools I need to complete my jobs at a reasonable rate that the bug box stores cant beat.

Terrible place with terrible employees. Rented gardening equipment 3 times and all 3 times they didnt work properly. First one wouldnt even start. Never was shown how to use the equipment with any of them. "manager" Tim is incredibly incompetent. Save the time and rent from Lowes down the road, their stuff actually works.

My experience here was a nightmare. The manager Tim called my disabled husband a "freak and a liar" when one of the items we purchased was not in the bag. He also kept our reciept and asked him to leave the store. I couldnt believe this, he had been shopping there for over 20 years. What a dissappointment!

Great service with exceptionally knowledgeable staff. Its amazing how little the big hardware stores DONT have and you always find exactly what you need at Handyman -- at the same or better price. And on the rare chance they dont have it, they will order it in. GREAT place, awesome staff.
