Recently purchased several hockey items at this store and while I was pleased with the purchases I realized when I got them home (and tried everything on) two things werent the proper size. Having read a few of the poor reviews, I was worried about exchanging the items. One I had already destroyed the box it came in. No reason to worry, the staff was apologetic and amazingly accommodating with my exchange. I was able to exchange the items with no hassle. In addition, while doing the exchange there was a price difference that keep coming up saying I owed money when I didnt. The staff ultimately gave me a % discount in order to return money to me. I will say some of the staff isnt knowledgable about each and every item, but there is someone there who is. And everyone was super nice and friendly. Would be more than happy to shop there again.

Im lucky enough to have a wife that plays hockey alongside me in northeastern Pennsylvania, and we love nothing more than making a day trip out here to check out whats new and what deals they have. The store itself is VERY well laid out and presented with the utmost professionalism. Customer service is fantastic there in every aspect ranging from the skate department, cashiers, security, and the pro shop (they fixed a very difficult problem on my goalie pad without batting an eye). I already have and will continue to recommend Hockey Monkey plus (as we call it) to all of my friends and teammates.

Customer service is terrible ... be real careful with these guys. Tried to exchange a $30 item with original packaging, original tags and within 5 days of purchase. Couldnt find my receipt and the result was no return, no exchange, no store credit and a lot of lip service from the manager. Thank goodness I wasnt trying to return a more expensive item. Good selection of inventory but the slight discount on prices isnt worth the risk associated with an unfriendly return policy. Best bet is to visit the store to research products and to purchase from a more reputable source.

Drove an hour to get there because they were advertising a "20% off everything" sale. When I got there the manager said the skates I wanted to buy were not on sale because the 20% was only for some items even though it said everything. After some arguing with the manger he did give me 20% off but I got another store to match the price so I bought them there. The custom service is awful, they have a bunch of kids in there who arent helpful at all. They do have a large selection of equipment tho.

Almost too much hockey equipment here... ITS GREAT!! Bought some things that fit wrong... Was no hassle to return because I had my reciept. All the prices in store were the same as the wesite(good deals). Customer service wasnt amazing but I asked and they got me what I needed. (bauer 4rolls, apx skates, full set of total1 protective) I dont know what some of the guys here are talking about but I had a really good experience.

Went to Monkeysports to get new roller blade wheels. Went back to the wheel section. Employee approached me quickly and started asking questions about what I was looking for. Indoor or outdoor? What kind of skates? (Mission Hi-Lo 80-72. The older version) He knew that the 80-72 was the older skate and even confirmed that those were the sizes. Got wheels, bearings and a tool very quickly.

Supply is very good for hockey, but pricy....thats expected. Friendly, but not to helpful. Id say out of 5 or 6 of the employees working the floor, only one or two actually can help, and they are always busy with a customer. The other ones just look like they are busy fixing the shelves. Maybe its a generational thing, younger floor salesmen dont normally have good people skills.

Left the store with new ice skates. The employee who was helping me was incredibly patient in bringing several skates to me and giving me tips. Due to the popularity, sometimes there may not be employees present at all stations, but if you ask for help you will get it. Just dont be too impatient. When the help arrives, you will be happy.

Worst Hockey Store Experience! The store is just only large. But whats it worth when you have useless sales associates, the merchandise in total disarray, nobody of the emplyees cared of neither cleanliness or help to customers. Its the third time I have been there. Stupid enough to go back there to leave empty-handed again.

I actually got prices i saw on the internet in the store. On sticks, elbow pads, etc. The staff was very helpful and actually gave me great advice when it came time to purchase new sticks. They also have a section in the back where you can have equipment fixed.

There selection is good, but there customer service is the worst i have ever seen. Trying to with them on the phone is a nightmare. They just seem to have no interest in helping costumers out. They just keep saying, well we dont do that or thats not our policy.

Love this place. Came in from Brooklyn when I lived there. Now in NJ I go there for my hockey & lax needs. I coach 2 lax teams - send my players there for equipment needs. Manager, Erik, & staff there are always helpful.

Monkeysports and Lacrosse Monkey are poor excuses for good retail. Their customer service sucks and they are not equipped to deal with consumers in this competitive market where LAX enthusiasts have many options.

If you skate, play hockey or just want to see a wide variety of sports products this is the spot. Too bad the only way to get there is by car, no public transportation is near the shop.
