100 yard indoor range riffle pistol or shotgun. electric target carriers. they only allow 5 rounds to be loaded at a time and expect 2-3 seconds between shots . they have above average prices on ammo as long ads yours is not steel core you can use it and they check. it is a range designed for and run for the hunter sighting in his field gun. so no draw from holster no double taps no rapid fire, so kinda useless for self defence training other then to make sure under calm slow conditions you can hit the target, I have been there 8 times they are sticklers for their rules as they see them they own the place so it is what it is . i live over an hour away and it is still worth going there once or twice a year to shoot edit 6-13-15 most recent experience range officer more than gruff. was asked to do something agreed with him. within 3 seconds well you gonna do it!! only 3 employees in store one was MIA counter guy was swamped but helpful and nice range guy was only range guy i have every met who has had such a attitude he really made the experience a not pleasant one. prices on ammo have come down and are reasonable did not look at guns. They have a bigger store in sloatsburg with NO range and the people there have always been top notch, selection of firearms extensive and high quality

Davis Shooting Range is a very nice facility to shoot at. But that is about as far as it goes. The prices are outrageous there. Even if you get pass the prices which I did initially, you have to listen to a scumbag of a range master who really doesnt know what he is talking about. Whether or not it is about the ammo or pistol/rifle he kept giving me bad advice or information. Alex is right. They want you to purchase their ammo which is inflated to say the least. Not to mention that they are sitting there with a stop watch to get you out exactly when your time is up. I am a law enforcement officer who carries a gun for a living. The whole time I was there, I had this range officer telling me how to shoot and telling me I was shooting too fast. In the law enforcement community, we call it a double tap. My experience was a terrible one. Most of the time if you pay premium prices, you would think that your experience would at least be a good one. I recommend that you find another place to shoot. Steer clear of Davis Shooting Range!!!!!!!!!!!!

12/27/15. After we paid we got called into the range upon walking in with my 2 boys 16 & 14 we didnt see the sign "wait for range officer" (just a freaken oversight). So we take the open both that was right in front of us. The range officer (100 year old Lurch )comes over and opens Hell like he was talking to stepchild. I responded with "take it easy pal I didnt notice it ", after I defuse the situation , he calmed down and walked away. We where shooting long guns and your forced to bench shoot you must bring your own vise because theirs is busted , very uncomfortable place . Gun prices where City prices not upstate prices. Pros are indoor 100 yards . Would never go back if I knew it was like this I would have drove an extra hour and a half and shot on my property, or just go to a different range.

Great place, my crew and I shoot here on a regular basis. Most of the negative reviews here are mostly from people that couldnt hit the broadside of a barn , for those people, this isnt a back yard in upstate NY, all the employees are consumate professionals and safety is a top priority. Pricing for all firearms and ammunition is very fair. No, this is not the internet or a big box store, so next time someone leaves a negative comment about their pricing, its to pay overhead on a business that provides a service for professionals, like myself, not to float some CEOs yatch. Thank you to Wayne, Dave, Kevin and Rich for always making our shooting experience safe and positive. Keep up the good work!

If i could give it less stars i would there the most unprofessional shooting range/store I have been to i would NOT recomend going here save your hard earned money and spend it somewhere it will be appreciated do yourself a favor and go to Pennsylvania or New Jersey there are plenty of other ranges . this range and their store in Sloatsburg New York will never see a penny from my pocket the rudest employees Ive ever encountered at a professional establishment!!!! my self and a large percent of others i have spoken to have mutual feelings

First time in there spend more than 200 bucks, but not that happy. The gentleman inside the shooting range never explained clearly. He only explain 425 go 7 back. Kept saying I told you, I told you with attitude. I finished my first hour. He told me I already past my time. I purchased another hour, the gentle man said I only can shoot 40 min more. I didnt argue because I didnt want to mess up my day. Anyway his position was too high to his customer. No other big issues. The young man Kevin?, he was helpful.

I agree with rude staff. Went in to purchase a handgun, and the counterhelp gave me hard time because the pistol I wanted to purchase might not have been ny safe compliant. They didnt want to be bothered to find out, gave me an attitude and had old, outdated price lists and information. Went to Master Arms in Sloatsburg, very nice and polite people there. They found exactly what I wanted and great price too. You lost my present and future business.

I had a great experience. Ex-military staff running the range is reassuring. A crusty but helpful Gunny behind the counter giving good advice. Being restricted to slugs for the shotgun is a bummer but a totally reasonable restriction. Too bad there are not many (IF any) outdoor ranges in this area, but I chose to live in NY, so that is a price to be paid. This place is a nice clean range to go bust some caps and pick up some pointers from experts.

The place is clean and the store well stocked. The range officer is bit over the top . shooting there was not pleasant and if you plan on practicing any type of combat drills, you should forget about it. If you are shooting rifles, plan on sitting the whole time. Its a shame because the range itself is very nice. This review is more for LEO and ex-military. For the average guy who just wants to put some rounds down range its fine.

I dont know what these people are talking about I think the house rules are reasonable in fact I prefer it that way the range officer was very nice to me I have no problem with the fact that he is strict that means the range is safe and he his doing is job the staff was nice to me if you want a safe and enjoyable experience at a range I highly recommend you visit

Facilities are nice although charging $22.50 to use them is a little outlandish. Workers are willing to bargain with you as long as you get their attention. Most guns are well under MSRP and if they arent they will try to bring it down for you. If you want someone who is really helpful ask for Dave. Hes an army veteran who knows his stuff. I will be going back again
