On February 28, 2014 (with a snowstorm pending at the time) I visited Ace Hardware in Wexford with the intent of purchasing potassium chloride for my driveway. I intended to use a coupon issued by Ace for 50% off any one regular priced item under $30. Upon arriving at the register with potassium chloride in hand I was informed that “rock salt”, shovels and other such items were excluded from the promotion associated with my coupon. I was also told by the cashier that the computers wouldn’t allow the use of the coupon for those products, and that I was welcome to shop for other products, not excluded. Admittedly, the coupon did say “Additional exclusions may apply”. I do find it questionable why “rock salt” shovels and similar items were excluded in the month of February. One can only assume they just want to get you in the door. I posted my complaint about the exclusion on Ace’s Facebook page the next day. One day later I looked at the Facebook page, and my post had been removed. Needless to say, I won’t go back.

I went to Wexford Ace Hardware today because they were offering a 20% discount on your entire purchase for Reward Card Members. Upon completion of my sale, I realized that I was not given my discount, and I asked about it. The salesperson told me that it wasnt an automatic discount, I had to ask for it. I came home and called the manager, Adam, to express my dissatisfaction. He was not familiar with the advertised sale, but he apologized for my experience. I am completely unhappy with my experience today, and I hope someone in management makes some much-needed changes.

Visiting the area to help a friend paint her house. The men who helped me in paint were very nice and helpful. They even helped me with the colors. My cashier was a lovely girl who sold me on honey. She seemed to know a lot, probably works for the farm. The store was being redone so there was a lot of mess but I still enjoyed my visit. Really cute items. Thank you for a pleasent experience

Went there for 5 years, spent over 20K and cashier knew me on a first name basis. Since I didnt have a driver license on me they wouldnt accept my check check for $5.85 and treated me like I was trying to scam them. I WILL NEVER GO BACK

I was trying to get a key cut and they refused to cut my blank keys and gave me an attitude when I asked why. However they did say I could buy their blank key and have it cut. Such a scam and horrible customer service.

Im always in this store and every single employee is always kind and helpful. The cashier HAS to ask if you found everything alright, but with the help of the other employees 99.9% of the time I can say "Yes"
