I always looked forward to going to Animart. They always had a good selection of fish and Diego, was one one the most knowledgeable people I’ve met, when it comes to fish. I’d been a regular customer for a few years and thought I could trust them. A couple years back, right before vacation, I had a huge problem. The filters on my 90 gallon tank began leaking and flooded the downstairs. I had no time to do anything but empty the tank. I had my son bring all of the fish to Animart. They gladly took them and once I got back from vacation and bought 2 new filters, filled the tank back up and was ready to roll. The 90 gallon tanks was composed of a wide variety of cichlids that I’d collected over a few years and they were quite large and very impressive. I had a 6’ Frontosa, several large Clown Loaches, mature Veil Angelfish, Large Plecostamus, etc. When I called the store to pick up my fish, I was expecting to pay them a reasonable fee for holding my fish for a couple of weeks. My jaw dropped when the owners wife said. “Well, I guess the fish are mine now!” I questioned why and she said they were really sick and they had to be treated. There wasn’t a damn thing wrong with them! I calculated my loss at roughly between $300 - $400. This happened a few years back and I will NEVER SET FOOT IN THAT STORE AGAIN!!! I hope it was worth it. You should let your husband deal with the fish and you stick with the birds!

We purchased a bird from them while making payments on the bird it passed away. Diego told my husband to bring the bird cage back up there I DID. When I got there Diego took the cage and rushed me out the sore with no money (HE THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO MAKE MY HUSBAND SPEND YHE MONEH WE PUT ON THE BIRD ON SOME SNAKES WTF are we going to do with lover 1,000$ worth of snakes).. I went to the parking lot and called my husband and told him I dont know whats going on but YOU NEED TO TELL DIEGO to run me my money ALL OF IT and quit playing on my face!!!! He refunded me the money after all that. But the next time my husband and I came in the store to purchase nice they were not friendly at all Terri actually rolled her eyes and got smart with me ( BEFORE THE INCIDENT she would speak, play with our daughter and All she acted as if she didnt want us in the store, her mom was dry towards Us I REALLY WISH THEH WOULD TE MY HUABAND (JOE) not to come back HELL I KNOW IM NOT store smell like anyways!

Great store and great people. If you pay attention to all these 1 star reviews, its all just a bunch of whining and crying. Grown ass men and women boohooing because they didnt call ahead in advance to check availability on something in one of the few actual pet stores left in atlana besides overpriced franchise bullshit. I drove all the way to this place one day and they didnt have rats. Do you know whos fault that was? MINE! Because i coulda called ahead to check. And now I always do. The employees have always been great with me, but they are always super busy caring for the animals too. In case you havent thought about it, compare the quality of these animals to the ones at petco. Petco is there for money. ANIMART HAS HEALTHY PETS and if they arent healthy they are brought back to health. If your stupid ass doesnt know how to set up a fish tank then maybe you need a petco fish that expires in 3 days anyways.

I love Animart, and all the employees are very nice and friendly. Diego takes excellent care of his animals, and he will not sell you something just to get your money. He helps you understand what youre doing (setting up a new aquarium, terrarium, etc.). There are not piles of dead fish in the corners of the tanks as in petsmart. Animart is the only place i will buy my community tank fish. I am in animart so much diego knows me and comes over and talks to me once all his other customers are helped. He has even given me free plants and a free snail, once when i was sick and the other time when i graduated. Diego was incredibly helpful when i was learning to set up and take care of my 60 gallon community tank, and he is still very helpful now. Cannot say enough good things about Animart, Diego, and everybody else that works there.

I have exotic pets, 7 tarantulas, one San Gabriel rosy boa and two cats. I have used AniMart exclusively for my spider and reptiles food, entertainment, housing and special requirements. They take wonderful care of the animals and Diego, Teri and staff are always able to be reached by phone or in person. Excellent prices on feeder animals and great customer care. Plus they handle their snakes so an Animart purchased pet snake is a happy, calm, wonderful pet snake. They also have a great selection of ever-changing lizards and frog/toads. Great customer service, good competitive pricing and happy healthy animals, lots of animal choices, and good feeder animal selection. Gorgeous birds as well. If you like exotic animals and want personal attention for your pet needs, Animart is the BEST! I trust Animart. Thank you, Animart!

TERRIBLE!!!! My most recent experience to Animart (Sept 2010) to buy saltwater fish was terrible. Not to mention my first experience with this store was a bad one back in 2005. In 2005, I went there and didn’t see several fish I was looking for; the good thing is that they got them in for me within a week. The bad is that they died a week later. All the other fish that were already in my tank (bought from other reliable stores) were still alive and well. Against my good sense, I decided I would give them another try 5 years later. I was not satisfied with the quality or selection of fish. Needless to say, I WILL NEVER go to this store again! Buy your saltwater fish somewhere else! I can not speak for the reptiles and birds but I will NEVER BUY SALTWATER FISH with them again.

Im a first timer with the fish tank thing. I found this store on Google thats close to my job. So on a Monday I go in and meet a employee and got some knowledge about the process of putting a tank together and bought a filter for a tank I purchased elsewhere. I knew during the purchase that I was overpaying but was fine with it because of at the time was good service. Once I get the filter home and put it together I notice the top is missing. The next morning I return only to try and get the top. At that point Im told Ill need to come back Friday to get the top. Totally unacceptable, because once I request my money back all of a sudden he is able to retrieved a top. Experience started good but ended terrible. Ill never revisit. Thanks for ruining the experience.

Animart is without exception the best-managed petstore Ive ever visited. The staff is made up of friendly and knowledgeable and committed people who really believe in what theyre doing. This is the cleanest petshop you will ever set foot in--the animals are all kept in excellent circumstances by a staff that diligently monitors their health and well-being. After two decades of seeing substandard petshops filled with poor, miserable, ill-kept reptiles in lousy conditions, ANIMART is like a breath of fresh air!
