This review is about Your New Best Friend Rescue that you have working there to help adopt dogs. Late Feb. I went to Your New Best Friend Pet Rescue to meet a dog that my husband saw on the Petfinder site. We thought it was odd that the dog we saw on the internet wasnt the same dog that I met at Your New Best Friend but I just thought that something got mixed up with the names. I was intoduced to a dog that Is now a part of our family. When I met the dog the owner of Your New Best Friend said that they didnt know the breed of the dog that they just call her a scruffy dog. They were guessing her age at about a year of so. He said that they had the dog for a few days and that the dog warmed up to him and would sit on his lap. At first she was hiding in the back room but eventually came out and I could tell she was somewhat nervous. I decided to take her home since I had a rescue before and he was nervous in the beginning too. We drove home from GA to PA and my sister and I could tell that she had anxiety issues within the 1st day. We got home and the dog would not stop shaking so the next morning I took her to our vet to have her checked out. They said that she has anxiety issues and to wait a while to see if she would calm down and if not we would try medication. We came home and that night she started coughing. I took her back to my vet in the morning and she was diagnosed with kennel cough. This was 3 days after having her home. She just finished her antibiotics. She is extremely afraid of my husband. Its been a month and she still runs away from him and he has been trying everything to have her not be afraid. He gets home from work before me and he opens the crate, she runs outside in her fenced in area and will not come back in until I get home. There has been improvements but it has been very, very slow. I contacted via texting to Your New Best Friend to tell them I still hadnt recieved the documents that verified that she was Spayed and had her rabies vaccination in order to have her licensed. They sent me a text with images of both documents and said that they were sorry and would sent the documents to us the next day which I still have not recieved to this date. After originally being told they didnt know anything about our dog it was stated in black and white what kind of dog it is and the birth date. It also had the name, phone number and address of the orignal owners. I took it on myself to text the phone number of the original owner to ask them about her anxiety issues to see if they could give me any insight. They texted me back and said that they gave the dog to Your New Best Friend and explained to them in detail about the dog and her anxiety issues. None of this information was given to me when I met the dog. I saw on the documents that the dog is a Jack Russell mix and if I had known this when I was there I would have not taken the dog. I have had past experience with a Jack Russell and would have known it was not the dog that would fit the type of dog we were looking for. We are starting to work with a trainer this weekend. Hoping that we can help her with her anxieties. In my opinion other rescues I have dealt with do whatever is needed to try and make a good fit for the dogs and their new owners and homes. Your New Best Friend Rescue in my opinion will cause dogs to be back in shelters again without a home and in risk of being euthanized. We have been working with our dog and have crate trained her to keep her safe when we are at work so she doesnt hurt herself because she chews on everything if she is left alone. She was meant to be with someone who would have been home all day. She has extreme separation anxiety and needs a lot of attention. We are keeping our new addition to our family because it is not fair to her that she has been given to all that has not cared enough about her to make the best decisions for her, not to make a profit in my opinion.

I tried to a return a "pet yard" brand new in the box clearly marked with a PetSmart sticker on it and "SEAN" the manager was not willing to help me in anyway whatsoever to return this item because it was not purchased with in the last 2 weeks and I did not have my receipt. I explained to him it is still available online as well as in the store and this was brand new, unused. He would not offer any solutions other than saying "there is nothing I can do for you" so take the item and leave. Very unprofessional and this is 2014, it should not be this hard to receive a refund, even a store credit if the item is clearly new and purchased from this store!! PetSmart has now lost me as a customer and all my family members that all own pets and anyone else I share this story with. Make sure you keep your receipt if you plan on changing your mind about an item or it is defective. PetSmart is not willing to help you unless you have the receipt.

I will NEVER be back to shop at this store! I came in to get an algae eater and possibly 1-2 other fish. The guy in the fish department asked if I needed help and I told him I needed a few minutes to look and decide. It literally took me 2 min. Well, the guy was nowhere to be found, so I went up to the registers to have someone page him. Only to stand there not even 2 ft. from the front of the register and be ignored by TWO managers and a cashier. With a fussy toddler in the cart, I might add. Seriously, 2 people looked me in the eye and looked away. I havent been so mad in a long time. What happened to customer service??? Apparently the people here couldnt care less about serving their customers (or even acknowledging their existence).

Convenient and they always have what I need. Ive been very pleased with the grooming staff most visits (got a bit of an odd cut once, but every other time has been fine.) My little dog is very nervous with strangers, but they always handle her gently and kindly, so I do feel comfortable leaving her with them, and so far theyve always been finished sooner than expected. I really appreciate being able to book appointments online, and choose staff from those who have groomed her before. The staff in the rest of the store are friendly and helpful, and they respect when I tell them my rescue dog is shy of strangers- some people elsewhere try to force her to let them pet her, which neither of us appreciate.

Took my dog to this location a month ago to get groomed took his vaccination papers saying he was heartworm positive and they accepted him. I made an appointment for today they cancelled it because he was heartworm positive, there policy doesnt say anything about not being able to groom because of this only to be current on vaccinations which he is. . The manager there Nicole sucks they need to advertise this on line and in store I will not recommend anyone to take there pet there.store.
