They use "bait and switch" tactics and their website has false and misleading prices, it also does NOT match the website on their store computers. I had to file a misleading advertising complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The prices for the items that I was going to buy were over 30% higher than what was advertised, The "employee" only had a one-phrase-vocabulary, which was "I dont know" and the manager was conveniently "unavailable". Their corporate office is located in Canada and they have an incompetent and rude customer service department that promises to let you speak to a live representative, but actually puts you on hold for a long time and then you get a recording that tells you that somebody will contact you days later.

Had problems keeping fish i got from them in the past. Recently after they changed the layout (half the amount of tanks now) ive only been able to keep 1 of the 7 fish they sold me. Well see if that last one stays alive. All my other fish are doing fine. Ill be staying away till i hear something good about it. The fish in this store are big contrast compared to the jacks in middle town, Health and the amount now. But well see after/if they renovate that one and it changes.

Horrible place! The Pet Valu that I went to did not treat their animals good and the place was dirty with crickets roaming around the place because their containers was opened! Not only that, the floors were soaked and all the tanks/cages were opened even the bunnies. The cats lived in terrible conditions and the fish were overcrowded. I wouldnt recommend Pet Valu even if you wanted to rescue the animals.

This goes for all stores..Their hours are about impossible to work around. I work fixed hours full time. Theres no reason a pet store needs to be open so late and closed so early. My poor gecko is starving and I cant feed him cuz its Sunday and I have to go to work at 9. Unfair. Staff is great people are helpful but hours are bad.

Bought a dozen rosy red feeders Saturday at 6pm, dropped 2 in my small tank and the rest in my African cichlid tank and by Sunday afternoon all fish in both tanks had fin rot and showed signs of columnaris disease. By Sunday night I had lost over $300 worth of health fish. You have been warned!

Outrageously over priced. $5+ more for the same bag of food or kitty litter you can buy at the grocery store. Will not be shopping here again.
