I wish there were a way to assign zero stars for the overall experience and customer service I received from Ashley Furniture store in Newington. I visited the store on August 23rd bright eyed and excited to buy my first real set of living room furniture. I was greeted by two gentlemen as I walked towards the door of the store (they were previously on a cigarette break). My sales person turned out to be a man named Rondell and he was phenomenal. I left the store happy with my purchases and excited to be receiving my furniture. Two weeks passed and I finally heard back from Ashley about my furniture being ready for delivery. I asked for a Saturday delivery and was told I would receive an automated call letting me know when the furniture would arrive. A day later I received a call saying the love seat had been damaged and if I still wanted the sofa to be delivered. I said , "no, I would like to receive everything together". The woman said, "okay". That Saturday I still received a call from the delivery men saying they would be a half an hour later than expected, I called and told them I didnt want the sofa until the love seat was available as well. That was the first issue. Now we arrive at today, Saturday, September 17th and the delivery men come today and tell me the door is too small to bring my furniture into the living room. The men did not make an attempt to even bring the furniture inside. They perfunctorily measured the doorways but didnt seem to care much either way. Okay, I call the store and say Ill come pick something else out. I arrive at the store and they clearly are too busy to assist me. I am pushed off onto a gentlemen named Uda before I even begin to tell him what I am looking for, he begins to say how its not their fault that the furniture didnt fit. Im somewhat flabbergasted and taken aback that hes so adversarial before I even explain the situation fully. He leaves me for fifteen minutes to explore the store on my own and find other furniture that I believe will not fit through my alleged small doorway. He continues to push recliner chairs and furniture that is either too expensive or not what I am looking for. After having waited almost a month or more for my furniture, I felt as though Ashley should have been more accomodating. Instead, I was forced to pay a restocking fee and for the delivery fee after I decided to finally cancel my order. They also refused to allow me to return the pillows that I had purchased. They clearly didnt even know the policies. One lady said one thing and the gentlemen said something else. All in all, I would not recommend Ashley Furniture in Newington to my enemies! No one deserves to feel humiliated, hoodwinked, and bamboozled. Apple is so successful because they convince their customers that they are superstars for buying their highly priced gadgets. I left Ashely today feeling as if I had been robbed. Beware of the schemes! I cannot and will not patronize another Ashely furniture store. They do not care about you or your time. These people simply want your money, whether you are satisfied or dissatisfied with their furniture and services. Stay away! Go somewhere else!

WARNING DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY. You will get screwed over, stressedout, and loose out on your hard earned money. I am only giving this store one star because that is the lowest you can give. They messed up our order and sent us broken couch and a loveseat with deflated and dented pillows. We sent it back and then they set a second date for delivery and when that date came there was no couches and they never ordered them. After arguing back and forth they ordered "new" couch and love seat. When they delivered it for the third time, they only sent the love seat and no couch. When we looked at the love seat big surprise it was the same love seat they sent the first time because I put footpads on it when it came in the first time so we know it is the same couch. The store manager bob lied to us and said he ordered a new couch and then they wouldnt talk to us and had us deal with the secretary. We are still waiting for the couch 2 months later. We are hoping they actually send us a new couch from the factory and not the same broken couch they sent the first time. I do not reccomend pulling in the parking lot at all. The only good thing was the two sales men R and M for trying to fix every issue we had every time we had to come back in 5 times. Save your money and time. This was the worst experience in buying anything ever in the 33 years I have been alive. I honestly do not know how this store is still in business. And worst of all they tried to hand us cards to hand out as reccomendations for other people( rite in the trash). It is to late to get our money back since we now have half our order. Hopefully the "new" couch come in before 2017 and we can be done with this nightmare. We just want it to get here and be over with this now 3 month nightmare.

Our experience with this store was genuinely terrible the whole way through. We ordered a full living room set and a full bedroom set in Sept 2016. We just bought our first home and wanted to invest in "nice" furniture. It was more than I had wanted to spend but we figured we were buying quality items that would last many years. Delivery was a nightmare. They kept calling and confirming that they were coming with all our furniture and would show up with just one random item... one time an ottoman, another time just the mirror that attached to the dresser (without said dresser). Each time we were assured this time all the furniture would be delivered so we were taking time off work and planning days around the deliveries. It took my husband going to the store multiple times to get everything delivered, weeks after purchase. Once we finally had everything, the lack of quality was quickly apparent. On the chest of drawers not one, but two drawers broke within the first couple of weeks. Almost none of the drawers close flush. Two months after purchasing, the ottoman sags despite rarely being used. They offered us a discount as an apology, but even at the reduced price Ive had ikea furniture that cost 1/10th the price and lasted 10x longer. I rarely bother to write reviews but I was just so disappointed by this whole experience.

My grandmother and I went to Ashley Homestore on January 2, 2017 after having a horrible experience with a different furniture store. When walking in we were not bombarded by a salesperson which was nice as we were able to browse the store and see what we liked most. My grandmother and I are currently selling our home and moving to a mobile home so we were looking for a small dining set, small couch and love seat, and a narrow recliner. After finding some great pieces, we got to meet the showroom floor manager, Rondell Lauray, who was extremely helpful and worked with us on pricing. He was very patient with us and kind. When Rondell had to deal with a situation in the store, Jonathan Rome, a home furnishings consultant, helped us with the rest of our transaction and he was as well extremely helpful and knowledgeable about each piece of furniture. I could not recommend both Rondell and Jonathan enough as they made our experience shopping at Ashley Homestore very satisfying and enjoyable. My grandmother and I were extremely happy with he customer service at Ashley Homestore and ended up getting some great pieces for our new mobile home at a great price!
