Amazing Owners and relatives work there. All THE Sales people and even the Door man is nice. We have been going to them since their inception as a small shop with a saree shop on the side. Despite growing manifold, they are so humble and respectful. Customer service is simply out of this world. I feel like we get value for our money here. Not 1 piece of Jewellery I purchased here including Diamonds have gone black or turned yellow. Quality in everything they do. I do not want to give my money to any other Jeweller. I feel like I am family, when I go in there. They are trustworthy and will work hard to make you satisfied. My wife Vimala and I Love the Owners and sons and Nephews and relatives and others who work there. They always bring a smile to our face. We have referred so many friends, and have taken with us a lot of friends who made purchases at the store. Their selections are wide and varied. They never show their face if you ask them to show multiple pieces unlike other Jewellery stores. I travel a good 1.2 Hours to go to this store for all my Gold and Diamond needs. They are the BEST IN CLASS. You do not have to take my word for it. I am not getting paid to write this review. It is straight from my Heart. I bought my husbands wedding ring and all my other gold jewellery worth 20K from Sona jewellers in dec of 2012. We live in Baltimore. Since there are not many indian stores around here, we planned to go back to Sona to buy some Gold. Buying gold is an expensive thing. So we always have to do good research before settling down for one set. I was doing my reseach and working with a sales person. My husband insisted that i should wait for him at the store and we will buy the jewellery together. So I told the sales person, that I like a certain necklace and i will buy it later (obviously i didnt want to tell her about my business that my husband is coming to join me). So the sales person gets furious and puts away all her necklace sets and says "Paise hai nahi jeb mein, aa gae sona lene". (if you cant afford gold then you guys shouldnt come here). I Just looked at her, and i was surprised that this lady who knows nothing about me is passing such crazy judgements. So I spoke to the acting manager about it and no action was taken. Eventually i walked out of the store and bought a beautiful necklace set from Sangam jewellers. I would never go back to Sona Jewellers for anthing any more. Customer service plays a very important in business. Its high time, Sona Staff understands and takes action about it.

I have been shopping here for years and am always happy with the customer service and the quality of the jewelry. My parents were referred to this jeweler over 15 years ago and have been shopping there since. When I had to buy an engagement ring I shopped around at all the big name stores and was not happy with the quality of the diamond I was getting for the price. I always thought that Sona would be out of my price range, but I decided to go check them out anyways. I found an amazing GIA certified diamond, exact setting my wife wanted for way less than I could have imagined. And a few months later when it came time to get a band they custom made one to match the setting perfectly. I have been back several times with friends that are looking for rings and they all ended up buying from here too. I highly recommend this jeweler to anyone who wants a quality piece of jewelry. Actually this is one stop shop for all your jewelry needs.

Be careful while buying with this merchant.The prices are hyped up way more than market price.They start with unimaginably high price and end with highest price than anywhere in the market.We went around 10Sep2014, the price they quoted was 67 per gram for a long chain with stones and ended up with $53(which itself is a high price- Nothing more than 48-50 is good price in current market) after great negotiations and said with cash price.Surprisingly when we returned back with cash the merchant was playing double game, falsely told us that he agreed for $54 not $53 and now that we liked the model he knows we will get that for sure.I agree they have more designs than other merchants in the area but surely they cheat customers with high price, so be extremely cautious before you like a particular item..Try out options in Jersey City NJ too they are lot lesser when we researched.....Good luck....

Drove about 45 mns. to this store that I was visiting for the first time. The place was fully staffed and packed with customers. I was expecting to be blown away. Instead, no one greeted me, approached me until after 15mns. All those employees, owners behind their counter in saris and fully made up couldnt bother to even say hello. Attitude was through the roof. Salesperson was annoyed after showing me few bracelets. I picked one, I agreed on the price, put it aside but continued looking. When I made my decision to make the purchase, she weighted the bracelet again and came back with $400 more!!! Blamed it on the scale that it was on D.W (whatever it means) instead of Grams. Sure. I refused to buy it and left disappointed. Some scam is going on in there, not worth their super inflated price. Will never go back.

Where should I start ?! Its the BEST jewelry store in NJ. I am in love with this place. They have so much variety so there is no way you will leave empty-handed. Gold sets, bangles, etc. you name it, they got it! I even saw their diamond collection and it was excellent. Im defiantly going there to buy my engagement ring. The prices were absolutely reasonable and the customer service was superb. I even met the owners and they were so sweet and respectful. If youre like me who takes their time to shop, then come here because my salesperson was very patient and quite helpful with showing me all the designs they had.I highly recommend this jewelry store to everyone. You will certainly not be disappointed and I guarantee that!

Worst experience in any jewelry store ever. I bought ear rings worth $4000. I liked them initially. I wanted to return them as it looked too big on me after I got dressed up. He refused to exchange them and on top it I asked him how much he would give me if I want to sell. He replied that he would return only $1900. Horrible. So I have the receipt saying I paid $4000 but he would return me only $1900 instead. So he sold it with a mark up of $2000. Thats fraud and totally misleading customers. Dont ever go there and very expensive. Not worth it. Very rude to customers and not willing to negotiate. I would give a minus rating.

I had very bad experience with Sona jewelers. Very bad customer service, prices are very high and tried to tell lie to sell the item. One they sold the item they change nasty. Every ones attitudes are very nasty. One of the manager was very nasty, rude and deal with customer very bad. Living in USA and seeing this type of manager I will rate "0" to this place. I will live without buying gold, but I never ever go to this place. Thank god there is other jewelery stores. Think twice before buy in SONA, and check their return policy if some one end up buy in SONA.
