Very bad customer service from the repair man. I bought a scratch and dent washer and almost immediately starting having problems with it so I called to have the repair guy out to look at it and he stated it was a broken leg and would be back to fix it. After replacing the leg, I was still having spinning issues...washer shakes itself off the wall during spin cycle. So I called them again, this time repair man was VERY rude and made it evident he didnt want to mess with the washer and I should call GE cause it was "their problem"... real nice considering they are a GE retailer and are the ones I bought it from. Anyways GE sent a repair guy from Iowa Appliance who was very helpful and friendly and he spent over an hour fixing the washer. So I would have to say even though I didnt buy my washer from Iowa Appliance I would recommend them anyday over Star Appliance, I had far better customer service from Iowa Appliance I didnt even buy my washer from.

Will never deal with this business again. What is the point of a repair service if when you call them they just send you a replacement. I bought a used washer from them and called repair to come look at it, since it was not spinning the clothes dry. The repair person told me he would come look at it on Wednesday between 3 and 5 and instead the delivery guys show up with a different washer. The response to my call was that they do not repair a washer more than once if it does not work, WHY HAVE A REPAIR DEPARTMENT THEN? I was also offered my money back, but since I needed a washer to do laundry, I have no choice but to keep the piece of crap that they sent me. This is the worst customer service I have come across. Please take your time and buy from someone that will help and care about their customers.

So I bought a "Brand New" Washer and a "Brand New" dryer from this worthless place not even a year ago and what do you know the other reviews are correct...WILL NEVER DEAL WITH THIS DUMP AGAIN!!!!! I called and have had the dryer serviced 3 times now and the washer is going on it 4th time of being serviced. I called the place and they told me to call the manufacture, well I dont want to pay 100 dollars every other month for something that I supposly purchased. If I wanted to get ripped of I would of went to a rental place but wait....they would have fixed the issue or at least replace the unit! I dont know how i can stress to anyone reading this, but DONT GO HERE, EVEN IF YOU WORK THERE OR KNOW SOMEONE, DONT GO THERE. What a place.....but as they say "God hates ugly people and you guys are some ulgy **".

Made inquiry to Star Appliance about service for my 21 year old refrigerator which was no longer cooling like it should. They told gave me advice to check for blockages or dirt/dust build-up incase we could prevent a service call and fix it ourselves. But alas, we decided to just purchase a new model. We were happy as the sales staffer reviewed all our wants/needs and gave us several options to choose from. He even mentioned the new SLATE color from GE, which we choose over stainless steel. (Less fingerprints) We had a new model delivered the NEXT DAY!! We are very happy with our purchase and want to recommend them to others. No pressure, no long winded speeches about service contracts etc. Just plain friendly!

I have purchased two washer and dryer sets from Star Appliance over the years. I couldnt be more satisfied. Their prices are competitive; they are small enough that you can talk to the owner and service techs and, most important, when something went wrong there were no hassles or delays with the repair. On one occasion, I had a problem that was out of warranty and wanted to try to fix the washer myself. They gave me great advice on how to do that. From the receptionist, to sales, to the service people – I’ve always been treated well. The next time I’m in need of appliances, they’ll get the first shot at my business.

We try to buy local and support local business. But really people....Just go to Lowes or Sears, I wish we had! Our washer went out after just four years after we bought it here. Theses people are so unprofessional, the worst customer service I have seen in my life. They dont even want to repair things they sell, theyll just tell you its cheaper to buy a new one because they charge so much for labor.They will also tell you "GE does not make things like they used to anymore", way to sell your products guys! Not sure why they even have a service department?

I furnished my kitchen at my old house from Star Appliance. Love local business and local service. Their service techs are top notch. Their sales crew is always friendly and helpful and honestly their prices cant be beat! Love this place so much I convinced my husband to check them out when we needed a new frig. He was a solid big box shopper but he was converted to Star after visiting the store and talking with staff. Now that we are in a new home, Star was the first place we went when we needed a new dishwasher.

Sales staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful without doing any pressuring. The appliances are very reasonably priced. They are very easy to do business with. We have been pleased not only with sales/delivery/installation, but we also been pleased with service. Weve just purchased our third appliance from Star. They have also serviced appliances which were in our home when we bought it. We will definitely continue to be a customer of Star. They do business the way it should be done!

We wanted to stay away from the bigger retail giants and selected to do business with a local store. Our experience was terrific. Jim helped us understand the differences in product upgrades and what was and wasnt worth the extra $$. Overall - very pleasant experience at a reasonable price (especially the delivery/install/removal). Well give these guys a look when we decide to upgrade our washer/dryer.

We were treated wonderfully by our sales associate! She was so courteous and our transaction was processed quickly. We had 4 kids with us when we made our purchase and they made sure they felt like a part of the process also. The dishwasher was in stock and was loaded into our vehicle before I had even finished paying. I love my new dishwasher and we will make future purchases at this store.

Had a great experience with Star Appliance. They taught us about the appliances, installed them, moved the old ones to the garage and have great customer service. Their people are fun and even entertaining for the youngsters while shopping!!!
