I used to favor Home Depot over their local competitors because of their respect for veterans. That policy, however, only goes so far. In June I moved into a new home. The home owner let me know before I move in that they wanted to remodel the kitchen and were willing to work with me. Throughout the process they were great with both communication and understanding. Home Depot is a completely different story! On June 11th new cabinets were ordered with a promised delivery date of July 17. That date came and went and no delivery was made. Neither was there any communication from Home Depot to indicate a pending delay. In following up with them, my landlord found that the cabinets were not even ordered until the first week of July. To make a long, painful story short. the cabinets finally arrived last week...and were damaged! Rather than show any sense of urgency or an effort toward good customer service, Home Depot is now dragging their feet through the reorder process. The new cabinets arent due for delivery until the end of September. Heaven knows how long it will take to finally get them installed. I have now been without a functional kitchen for THREE MONTHS! I am still living out of boxes after my move because I have nowhere to put my food, cookware or dishes. I cannot even begin to express how disappointed and frustrated I am with Home Depot right now.

Ive made a lot of purchases at the Home Depot and have always been satisfied with the friendly employees and competitive prices on name brand tools. I made the mistake of buying a bathroom vanity top from them that was stored high above in the racks of an aisle. The employees told me they had to close off two entire aisles just to get it down from above with their lift. They said they couldnt even ask people to leave the aisles. On a Sunday afternoon an hour later both aisles were finally clear of customers. One employee on a lift, one on each end of the aisle and another one directing the lift to the aisle with two orange flags. I had the feeling they were trying to land a helicopter with all their overstaffed efforts in getting one simple box down from a rack. With all that I sure hope they save enough on their insurance to pass the savings down to us customers. From now on if i need anything from above racks, Ill just go to Menards because they will grab the product down in a matter of seconds with customers in the aisle and its done safely. I still shop at their store, but this policy needs change for me to purchase from above again.

I needed help with my sink trying to find the right valve for a diy project. Stood around in the aisle for about 5 minutes. No one approached me or asked if I needed help. I sought out help or tried to at least. The kid with the gauges in his ear walked right past me pretending he didnt see me when I know he made eye contact with me and I asked him for help. He went down towards the lumber are and started waving orange flags around. I made my way to the door and Mary stopped and asked if I needed help. I told her Ive needed help for 10 minutes and she apologized and said all the plumbing people were usually hard to find because they like to hide in the back. She asked someone over the phone to come help, waited 5 mins and no one came... what the hell kind of store is this. As I was leaving there was 3-4 people sitting near the front desk laughing and talking. What a joke.

Special ordered cabinets and trim. After waiting 6 weeks Everything was good except the trim. Wrong color and size. ( sara in cabinets irdered corretly) another 6 weeks for the reorder and that is the wrong color again. So corey comped the trim for free and reordered....well i went in again today as their system updatez when itll be there. It showed 07/03 as a pickup date. Today was 07/12. The piece was lost by the shipping company. So now they need to re order again!! Initially ordered in feb and IF everything finally goes right i should get in sept.....7 months later!! Btw sara and corey have done everything they could. I just wish home depot would step up somehow.....i cant put my kitchen together with out this on piece ....

I am not satisfy with the customer service I received. Ordered a countertop through Home Depot. No one kept me updated as far as the installation. Yet, I came to realize Home Depot has vendor(s). Therefore, they are a middlemen. I will not do any business through Home Depot any longer. Let alone the vendor wasnt the best, but at least they tried to contact me. With situations like this from the middlemen to the vendor, paperwork always gets lost. However, my purchase order went through Home Depot and the service I was given was bare minimum, if even. If you are trying to remodel something, I do not suggest going through a middlemen which is what I found out a week into the process. Let alone, the whole process took 2 months.

Very frustrated with my visit today. I came in to return some items that were left over from my remodel. When I came in to return my items there was a small line at the service desk and I was kindly greeted by some young man who had earrings. I dont mind waiting, but there were three employees talking and laughing over in the corner by one of the computers. One young gentleman was helping all the customers at the other end of the desk. I cant remember his name, but he was wearing a ball cap. He was kind and was able to help me return all my leftover items.

the employees at the front desk were all talking to each other and werent paying notice to the fact I needed help. I asked the girl in paint about Acetone and she seemed miffed that I ruined her conversation with her coworker and rudely pointed to the aisle where it could be found. I eventually found it on the floor with no price tag. I went back to ask her how much it was and she made a snippy comment "The price is on the shelf where you found it sir" I left it on the counter and went straight to Menards, terrible service. Will never shop there again.

I want to praise Home Depot and Gary in the lighting department for my shopping experience for lighting for a home addition today. I shopped at Wettsteins and Menards first getting very little assistance and no advice. Gary in the lighting department at Home Depot had so much good advice in designing and spacing our lighting and what products would work for our project. He helped me pick out a good ceiling fan and when I go back for the rest of our lighting Im going to call ahead and go when Gary is working.

I love home Depot. The staff are super helpful and knowledgeable, the products are great quality and the store is always clean. I feel like I am always getting a deal there because they are always having a sale or they have great clearence options. The plant selection is outstanding, I feel like every plant in my yard and all my husbands birthday, anniversary and Christmas gifts are all from home Depot. Thanks home Depot for making my life super easy and productive.
