I didnt read previous reviews until this morning or I wouldve expected the lousy service I received. My husband and I visited Meletio last Friday morning looking for a specific under cabinet light I found online. We walked in the main doors and wandered through the showroom like lost children. There were two or three employees sitting around chatting with a single customer. No one acknowledged our presence. We made our way to the back where the lights were on display and while the guys back there were somewhat busy..all had one customer, we still were not acknowledged. My husband finally asked what we needed to do to get help and the guy indicates to grab one of the girls at the front or wait until one of the guys at the back were available. I went back out to the front and couldnt find a soul. While my husband was still waiting at the electrical counter the guy hed asked for help calls out the name of a regular customer that had just walked in and asked him if he needed help...completely ignoring my husband who had been standing there! Unfortunately we were under a deadline so we did purchase the lights from them, but I will never give them another dime!
Called 2 weeks ago and put in a box order for specialty light bulbs, very small items. The guy put in my order and said it would come in 1-2 days. It has since been 2 weeks and nobody has answered the phone the past 6 times Ive called, answered my contact email, or my voice mail I left on their company line. I finally got a hold of someone today and they could not find my name in the system anywhere, not even an order placed, or a past invoice from ALL my past purchases. At least an apology wouldve been appreciated, but apparently its my problem. Now I have to hopefully see if I can scrap out a box from storage to locate these lights I have already purchased. If someone had taken the time to contact me back we could have avoided a long wait for nothing.

Hahahahaha!! Well, I even read the reviews before I called and decided since it was on a standard sized white replacement glass globe for a fixture, surely I could get an answer on the phone to save me travel time if they didnt carry it. The woman was curt, asked for manufacturer or part number (which I didnt have), then transferred me to hang up. I guess they cant work phones but judging from these other responses, not going to waste my time to try and call back which Im assuming would take multiple attempts. Its quicker for me to write this since their page was already up on my computer and maybe they can get better training on their phones.
Stay away! I tried to purchase a ballast for an older fluorescent fixture. They had none in stock. "Shelby" at the parts desk repeatedly informed me she would order one. I was never contacted again. After repeat calling, I was told it would be ordered, was being checked into, etc. She then claimed it would be free (for their delay and negligence!). Over a month has passed. Nothing ever arrived.. I finally had to order one, myself, on line. Worst (and strangest) customer service i have ever experienced.
We just came from Meletio Lighting at 10930 Harry Hines Blvd, Dallas, Tx. We could not get the staff to help us or answer our questions. The answers were short and curt. We asked if they carried the "Elite" brand. The response was yes. We asked, where are they displayed? The response was "it is not displayed, there just another carrier". My wife asked for a price list and the guy said you have to tell me how many you want.
Wow, just got off the phone with these guys. The person I spoke to sounded so depressed and annoyed with my questions. Was not helpful at all. I hope whoever I spoke to is okay and I hope hes not going through too much personal drama, but you cant bring that to work. Very unprofessional, I will never contact this store again.
If you want to pay top dollar for lighting, little to no customer service, zero communication, no knowledge of back ordered product already purchased, poor tracking, poor warehousing and completely no resolution or accountability for their shortfalls... Then this is the place for you!!
Bought a great deal from Meletio. Good products, helpful service. Then why two stars? When buying in large quantities, their bookkeeping and invoicing is beyond terrible and not worth it. Even they could not accurately tell me how much i owed them for months.
went looking for an outdoor fan Taylor Johnson was very helpful got us a fan followed up with a call to let me one of the parts wouldnt be in until late afternoon so i wouid not waste a trip to pickup my order great place to do business with thank Taylor
Customer Service was absolutely horrible starting from the operator to the sales agent who repeatedly stated "I dont know" for every question I asked. I never understood how you can work for a company and not know the products/inventory being sold.
Friendly staff. Great selection of products. Triple check your order at every step of the way to be sure it is correct and complete.
