Horrible customer service experience at this germantown location. Manager Rolo was incredibly rude. Ive been shopping at Wegmans stores for years, first in New Jersey then in Maryland. Primary because I love the quality of the food and the amazing customer service. The last visit, I purchased tlaeveral items that tasted odd. Asked my in-laws to return the product with receipt and my Wegmans card. The manager initially said it was against store policy to give refunds. When asked to see the policy, he said agreed to make the refund but only with the original credit card. Since I didnt give them my credit card, they asked for store credit but he refused. More importantly, his tone was condescending and rude. This is the opposite of what Ive come to expect from Wegmans and were very disappointed. Especially my in-laws who said they will never shop at Wegmans again. Cant blame them.

My favorite grocery store around. I shopped at their other locations before they opened in Germantown. I find there fresh products (produce, meats, etc) to be some of the freshest in the area and great prices. The variety of products (dry goods) they sell is incredible. The Wegmans branded products are as good as name brands but a fraction of the price. I had an incident where I found bones in their Wegmans boneless skinless chicken. I notified them via Twitter. They responded, checked to make sure I had not been injured by biting into unexpected bones, apologized, tried to find out the SKU number from the product to notify their distributor and sent me $25 in gift certificates to be used on my next purchase from their meat department. You can bet I went back an bought more. The certificates covered beyond the cost of the product. I am thrilled they have moved to the area.

With my long-term experience shopping at different Wegmans loca Rate and reviewtions I can tell you that the Gaithersburg location is negatively affecting their reputation. The fruits and vegetables are of poor quality. Three different times I brought home produce and found mold on it within 2-3 days. Staff will stand in your way and not move unless asked and then they act like Ive inconvenienced them. One day I asked for help finding an item and she pointed to a sign down the aisle telling me its right there. Items are out of stock regularly and for a long period of time. I pass 2 Giants, 1 Safeway and 1 Harris Teeter to show my loyalty, but after having to hit a second grocery store to pick up items I cant purchase from Wegmans regularly, today I chose another grocery store. Very sad, frustrated and disappointed.

This is a nice grocery store filled with all the things you need. I have never waited long to check out, and their store brands are good quality. On the negative side though I have to say that I dont like the layout of the store. I find the entryway choked with goods to the point where it is hard to get in or out. The produce section seems needlessly vast (fruits and vegetables are deposited anywhere from the entryway to almost the back wall of the store), and it is hard to find what you are looking for or to move through the people and bins to get what you need. Also, the meat section is stuffed in what feels like a hallway in the back corner of the store, and the hallway floor is choked with coolers and displays. It is good for business to slow people down so they make impulse purchases, but I find it maddening.

More than awesome! The best customer service, extremely competitive pricing, food quality that rivals every other grocery around, and employees who have fun and are dedicated to making shopping there more than a store experience. Ive even been called back when hard-to-find items come back into stock, they wont put out meats/fish that arent up to their taste standards, and they truly work overtime to accommodate every customers needs. I wont shop anywhere else and love this store and their produce and other items. Even their own branded items have been excellent and are now staples in our home and cooking. Their demos have sold us repeatedly and the atmosphere is inviting, pleasant and fun. If you havent shopped Wegmans, youre missing out!

This store is always clean, staff is very helpful and friendly, Wegmans brand products are superior, they have a great return and refund policy. I have been shopping there since their opening in Germantown and I hardly go to any other store. They mail coupons which are very useful, they mail their magazine if you have their loyalty card-the magazine is great. There are many recipes in this magazine and also many interesting articles about their foods and products in general. I love their selection of organic items. This store is family-owned and in their case it puts them above any other grocery store I have shopped at.

Hands down best store for food especially organic. The offer local farm grown produce and a large selection of global specialties. If you need natural medicine the supplement department has one of the best offerings in 15+ miles. If you need it and they are out the team and staff work together to get it ordered and call you when it comes to the store. Best service at pharmacy and great prices. Hot deli food to eat before you shop or just for lunch. Coffee bar offers a wide variety of drinks that are made with quality ingredients for less than Starbucks offers. Cant say it enough, best store ever!

I dont hate grocery shopping any more! The layout is a little unusual compared to your typical Safeway or Giant Food, but only to accommodate their large prepared food section. Their butcher, produce, deli, bakery, and cheese options outclass any of the other options in the area. The sushi is pretty great for a grocery store. Lots of good prepared or easy to make food options for those days when you need to get dinner on the table for the family, but just cant imagine actually cooking. Certainly a more cost effective, and usually healthier, "I dont want to cook" option than take out or delivery.

This place is great. Its my favorite store in the universe! I wonder how other stores like whole foods are still open. Wegmans is a merge between a grocery store and a deli and a buffet and a bakery and a health food store and a specialty market and a flower shop and a pharmacy and a coffeehouse and about 5 other stores on top of that all put together into one building. Its the best of everything for reasonable prices. They have your standard things and also special neat things. What a unique idea. The Creator is a genius and Im hooked for life!

Wegmans is by far the best grocery store chain Ive ever been to, and this one is no different. Youll find a huge selection of conventional grocery items as well as organic and international options. The layout of this store can be a tad confusing at first, but its likely because the store is so huge. Ive never had trouble finding parking here either—theres an entire second-level parking area complete with a shopping cart escalator. Highly recommend this place.

I always look forward to my weekend grocery shopping trip to Wegmans. They have all the staples items at everyday low prices which is great but that is only one of the reasons to go. They have an awesome bakery, prepared food section, deli, meat selection, cheese selection, etc. Vast amounts of high quality esoteric products which are hard to find anywhere else. I cannot imagine going to any of the local competitors anymore.
