We stopped into Weis Markets to get ingredients for chocolate chip cookies, and also a toilet plunger (dont ask). We got all the ingredients, and the prices and quality were fine (they were out of plungers), but we were not at all happy with the checkout process. We chose to use a self-checkout lane since there was only one cashier working. The lane was very slow, and it required manager approval to purchase a $6 bottle of vanilla used for cooking. The front-end manager was helping several customers at the same time and it took him a while to get to us. Then, just before we finished, our last item caused the self-checkout device to malfunction. At that point we had to wait almost TEN MINUTES for him to come over and approve our purchase. In his defense, he was working at the service desk and he had customers there. I dont blame him; I blame the management for not making sure there was enough staff.

The staff is very helpful and friendly. If customer service was the only criteria, Id leave 5 stars. Having clarified that issue, much improvement could be made in the stock they choose to carry. There is also a consistency issue. Some items there which are kid favorites , like funnel cake and hello kitty cookie kits,, but they go in and out of stock. In fact, they havent had the six packs of full sized kit Kats in stock since at least March. My kids are so so so picky so its very disappointing not to find what Im looking for. The prices are typically pretty high by comparison. Topped only by Safeway. I keep coming back because of the personable, helpful employees. That and because for now, theres no grocery store in Brunswick and Weis is the closest.

I went it today to buy me an already made lunch. I went to the Deli and one of the employees was putting out several things. I ended up getting a turkey sandwich and am literally in the middle of eating my sandwich right now. I must say Oh my goodness!!! Literally the freshest most delicious sandwich I have EVER purchased at a grocery store. It also comes with a small macaroni salad which is a PLUS! And all for just $5!!! I am a college student full time and work full time and my my every time i go on to this Weis to get quick meals I love them! I dont know if it is the ingredients or the care and love they put in to their food but its GREAT! Good job ladies and gentlemen!

Never have more than 2 registers open regardless of how many people are on line. More disturbing was their meat and seafood department green meat on the shelf and frozen seafood that looked like it was older than I am aside from those two departments he rest of the store is average at best.

My wife made the mistake of shopping here. Maybe were DC snobs, but the selection here is straight out of large scale processed industrial ag hell. Almost nothing natural or organic, mass produced poor quality meats, and not much more. No thanks.

There wasnt any help at 8:30 at night. We ended up having to go to 3 different registers to pay for our groceries. The selections and prices werent that great on top of the non-existent customer service.

The store didnt seem very big but still had a very generous selection of produce and other items, and staff were friendly, helpful and patient.

I love to go here just to look around and grocery shop because Ive always found something on sale off of discounted price I love this store

no beer in Grocery stores in Maryland! Otherwise a decent selection and ok prices. Pretty much like a Safeway.
