Its a Safeway. They sell groceries. I review chains differently than I do standalone businesses like restaurants, or small shops. So two stars is based on my overall experiences at grocery stores. Good: - They have a large selection. I can almost always find what I am looking for. - The Safeway app paired with the rewards card is great. The coupons are good, and bring regular groceries close to normal (not CA) prices. - The counter staff (bakery, deli, etc.) are friendly, and will answer questions you may have. Bad: - Self Checkout staffing. Not sure if they put the second string on self checks at this location. Perhaps they get $0.02 each time a register blinks for someone needing assistance. Ive seen people wait 5 minutes for someone to not look at the purchase, scan the wizard card and saunter back to the throne at the front. - Floor help. Non-existent in my many trips here. Overall - People need groceries. They wont shoot confetti as you walk through the doors, but if you know what you need, and are familiar with the layout of your average Safeway, youll escape with some noms and only minor injuries (to your ego.)

They have an amazing deli at this one, plus the staff is fantastic. Leon at checkout is always super helpful and positive, and Kristina in the floral dept made some great suggestions when I needed to get flowers for my elderly housecleaning client. Im not ashamed to admit Im a regular here, but I do work right around the corner in Raleys Town Ctr... Unfortunately, getting cheap lunch is a challenge in this place, since the pre-packaged selections change all the time...most start at $5, too. Might aswell just go to a restaurant at that point, but I do like their new all-day breakfast sandwiches. Now, I dont have to rush in before 11am to get my hot sandwich from Safeway and get back to work on time. My friends kept eyeing the ciabatta sandwich I got here, and its just as good - if not better than Jack-in-the-Boxs version. Id give 5/5 but the thing about getting cheap lunch often forces me to go elsewhere. Id bring lunch more often, but the commute time makes my sandwiches get all soggy.

I had to sleep in the parking lot because my friend son scribbled on my Cal DL ID as a joke and the tight wade at the western union counter here told me he could not give me my money because a beard was scribbled with blue pen ink on to my photo. It was to late to drive else where, i had to sleep there ,in the morning the check cashing place a mile away did it with my same Id no problem ,didnt even ask about smeared beard ink.Two Thumbs down.The other Safeways later on my trip did not trip on my ID and let me pick up my western union.I was so nice but not now!You caused me a night of pain in a cramped car while I had a reservation at the hotel at Motel 6 = 300 ft away!!!!!!! Cancer patient = you are a Kookman!!!

I went to Safeway to complete a Western Union money transfer. It had been rejected at another store previously because WU did not accept debit card payment. Head cashier Chris processed the request and then corrected it again for the state in which the recipient was and then corrected it again to add the test question. Chris was competent, efficent, and courteous I do wish the customer service desk had a chair available for customers who cannot stand for a long time while they wait in line.

The Rohnert Park Safeway needs to step up its game. The store is often a total mess, the staff is less than friendly and they are always running out of baby formula, thats not been my experience at other Safeway stores, this one is the worst Ive been to. The aisles are too narrow, and the layout makes no sense. I go to Petaluma if I need to go grocery shopping because this store is just not a good place to shop.

We always shop here, but the service is getting so bad we may start shopping at Raleys on a regular basis. No one answers the phone at the deli, bakery, or customer service on weekends!!! Forget walking in directly and trying to place an order at the deli in person, people are RUDE!!!! I am really disappointed in the lack of professionalism, since I have moved here in 1994, its never been this bad.

The management must have had a meeting! Everyone seemed happier. I needed assistance locating my fav Blood Orange drink. The cashier was new but promptly utilized the expertise of the nearest bagger whom told me the whereabouts and went to get three for me. What a pleasant and rare event for todays world. 5 stars for employee knowledge, store appearance, new carts!

Worst customer service around, they do not have enough staff, no excuse for having one checker open at 10:00AM on a Saturday with 8 people backed up in the aisle. This happens all the time, plus usually half the self check outs are out of order. Ridiculous....Ill take my money somewhere else were it is appreciated Bye Safeway

I do not like the self checkout. It sounds easier and faster cheaper when you sell (or spin)it. But its a pain in the butt! There are always too long of lines where u have checkers working, and I already have a job...I dont feel like doing yours. There are other places for me to shop, Ill visit your store when I have to

Terrible customer service. When making a purchase, cashier did not allow my club card discount. And the manager, Lisa Hawkinson, was extremely rude to me on the phone when i tried to complain about not being able to use my club membership discount. She then proceeded to hang up on me. S**ty manager and s**ty cashiers.

Horrible service. Deli was nothing more than substitutes for all but the main course. Cashier double charged for waters and beer. All I got was Im sorry. Whomever is the parent company this week should shop at this store,its a tragedy to come here. Im going to Rayleys from now on. . . No stars

I used to shop here all the time, but there are constantly lines that back up down the aisles. Even the self check lanes are really long. The parking lot is awful to get in and out of and there are speed bumps every 20 feet or so. I usually shop elsewhere now and am much happier for it.

A wonderful place to shop.Us bank steered me to the the counter I was seeking and I completed my business in a few minutes. This store seems to have well versed employees happy to help. Thank you for the pleasant experience. This was my 1st time in this particular Safeway.

Pretty good location, but the lines are often long and not enough checkers. Like the produce section - great pre-made salads. Parking is really bad. Small lot for such a big store located to several other stores. Foot traffic makes it worse too. But still ok.

Today there was very little waiting in line .The checker was very friendly & helpfull.6 months ago the service was terrible & you waited in line for 20 minutes,because of lack of employees & some who didnt care.Hope this is the new look Safeway.

Staff is great. Bakery is always good and usually has a good assortment of seafood at the butcher counter. Gets really busy Friday afternoons for $5 Friday so expect a wait. Often times not enough checkers during busy times so lines get long.
