Ive been to this store quite a few times while on my way to the coast or staying in Tillamook Forest. The store itself is pretty standard for a grocery store, they have most of the supplies you need for heading out on a weekend yurt, camping, rental adventure on the coast. The staff were very friendly, the cashier was so thoughtful that after I ordered a few packs of firewood she offered up some extra brown bags to use as fire starters, that was great customer service! Also, the camping wood they sold worked really well and for $5 bundle I would buy again. They have a decent adult beverage selection when it comes to beer and cider, not so great of a selection with their wine but enough to satisfy most peoples needs. I was bummed to see they dont offer small packages of doughnut holes, they had a massive package with over 50 pieces but that was way unnecessary for my needs, it would have been a nice addition to morning camping breakfast but I made due with other things. For convenience-sake alone Ill be back, the location is prime and the convenience and prices make it worth the wait if you need to get out of the Portland metro area and do your shopping as you get closer to the coast.

The problem with this store is they have sale items and NEVER have enough on/in stock for customers. We have 2 stores to shop at in this town. (Yes, crazy but true) and once a product is gone off the shelf which is literally in about an hour... than that is it. No more. Its extremely frustrating...The Tillamook Ice Cream, you cant even buy in this particular store as it is ALWAYS GONE. They have a tiny little section for "Tillamook" Ice cream and its literally always Empty Shelves, it goes on sale...and its ALL GONE within the hour and will be sold out for days only to repeat the exact same process once its re-stocked finally. Who is in charge of the ordering in this store? And why can they not seem to figure out their product to sales ratio??? I have started shopping at Fred Meyer due to the fact this particular Safeway is always out of certain products. Extremely Frustrating and no one in the store seems to care..."oh well" our shelves are empty..constantly.

I regularly shop at your store because it is nearer to our residence and I find your goods especially the meat cheaper; however I am disappointed with the way the hot DELI section prepares some of their food items particularly the fried chicken. This is already the third time that I bought chicken which seemed to be re-fried or recooked.... because though still hot, they are very hard, very brown and no longer juicy .The wings can hardly be eaten. For better quality and customers satisfaction, it is well appreciated if the Deli section will only fry enough to prevent leftovers. The other store in this town cut down the price of their fried chicken to 50% after 8 PM and any left unsold are displayed in the cold section with price reduced. I dont like writing this review but its better to express my feelings than to remain silent and dont come back to your store.I still love your store and keep on coming back almost everyday!!!!

most personnel in this store are extremely rude.theres only 1 cashier whos sometimes nice. Maybe this is due to only having 1 at night and 2 maybe 3 at the most in the day?? And dont even get me started with attempting to ask the meat department to slice some meat for you! Most specials are out of stock, even if you go to a $5 Friday sale early Friday morning. Corporate needs to check on this store and its employees, Especially management employees. Retraining of staff and their manners with shoppers would be helpful, or maybe installing self checkouts so shoppers can have a more cheerful experience. Also the drunks and homeless outside that are always bugging you for money, then when someone gives them some you get stuck in line behind them smelling them and waiting while theyre falling over trying to pay the cashiers in nickels and dimes for a can of beer.

If you are visiting Tillamook, I recommend you do your shopping at Tillamook Safeway store for all of your grocery needs. For good reason I recommend Safeway. Primarily for the excellent customer service. Safeway values their customers and they show it by going the extra mile to ensure your shopping experience is a pleasant one and that you are able to find what you are looking for. I can assure you the staff, the department managers and the General manager are all very dedicated to providing you with excellent products, service, and a overall pleasant shopping experience. Since I live here year round, I can assure you this is the grocery store that will go the extra mile to see your needs are met and your shopping experience will be a pleasant one. I give Safeway five stars because their dedication to customer service.

Went in on my lunch, so no surpruse, Im a local. As usual, it was understaffed, and what staff there was were choosing to go see the flow of traffic by discussing breaks with checkers incapable of doing more than one thinky thing at a time. Jumped to the "Cusromer Service" counter - *very incorrectly named* to try and avoid the mis-ring of 25 avocados in my mischosen check-out lane. Ran right into the bulldozer named Elizabeth. Talk about snarky, and unwilling to help. After taking as much time as possible to imply I was the one with a problem, when she did ring me up, she tossed my change across the counter and didnt give my receipt, I had to reach over and frav it myself. Shed be better off on field, than behind a counter.

We live in a small town and Safeway has it all.... when I have needed something they dont have (rare), they have gotten it for me. I have found the staff to be friendly and courteous, and quick to help. I find their prices to be competitive for the most part. Safeway also has a good deli area and I have stopped there for many quick lunches. Safeway is my "Go-to" store because I know where things are, and can pop in and grab what I need or do a major haul and it isnt stressful. There are times in Portland, that I could go to Winco and save a few dollars, that instead, I have just come home to our store where I can zip through. Thank you for your wonderful service.

I went into this store and noticed that the sale items were out and other item in its place so you think that was the sale item, which you found at the register it wasnt. I was stunned that there was only one register open and a line of people trying to check out. Meanwhile other employees just looked on and would move away. Check out time was very long. This was in the morning at 8:30. Safeway must be having financial problems because they have reduced register people so there aren’t any employees to check you out. However there was 2 people working at the Starbuck counter and 1 cashier at the registers.

I like to shop here because its convenient. But I have often heard the checkers talking about customers that have gone through ahead of me, or treating people with wic like they are stupid. I hope corporate gets this kind of attitude taken care of, because even if a customer is using Wic or foodstamps that is still income for their employer (You know job security!) I have never heard this kind of treatment at the local Fred Meyer store.
