If it isnt the smell of something having died in the ventilation system upon entering the building (I kid you not), then it will be how the staff shout at each other down the isles, mouthing off about people in a negative way or in one instance, the staff farting at you whilst you do your night shop (I kid you not again). Really, this is the most dreadful of shops. The staff are scruffy, unhelpful, and refer to everyone as bro. The shop is dirty, the food quality is dire... no word of a lie, rasberries will be soft, strawberries will have white fur growing on them and tomatoes are ready for the bin in a matter of days. I even met with the store manager after warning them many years ago that their standards were slipping and local had a low opinion of the store - if fell on deaf ears as the manager attempted to patronise me with jargon and excuses. Alas, Krogers now struggles - quelle surprise.

The closing-time staff (cashiers and managers in particular) are incredibly rude here. On three separate occasions I have been rushed, scolded, or even (on one occasion) forced to abandon an entire cartload of groceries I was in line with and ready to pay for--simply because the clock struck 12AM before the cashier had scanned my first item. Never mind the time and effort I put into selecting my groceries; never mind my need for food at home. I was scolded for being on the premises after hours and shown the door by secirity. I dont know these workers names, but I was at this same Wayne Avenue Kroger tonight and can tell you that a manager on duty tonight is the same one who forced me to leave without my full cart of groceries; she is Caucasian, has very short black hair, and wears a red vest.

Opening crew was very adamant that I could not enter the store before 7:00 am on the dot. I had arrived at 6 and needed to use the restroom badly which I told them but it was company policy that was blamed for that steadfast approach to the strict enforcement of the stores opening time. I guess its ok I just had had an extremely hard night walking around Dayton when im unfamiliar with the city except the main roads. I was abandoned by a friend accidently and locked out of the place I was staying and had not had access to a bathroom for 6+ hours. It was a real taxing evening and I could have used a break. But that is an extremely strange situation so I understand the apprehension because if you do it once then the store will have to battle with making decisions every Sunday.

Small Kroger. Parking lot goes down hill from store to road, is very small and tight and very hard to turn left out of onto the road. Since so small t seems they are always out of stuff. I think they restock at night but by afternoon out and needs restocking. I do love its within walking distance to me and a bus stop right there. No pharmacy or little clinic. If looking for oragel for sore gums or teeth....this Kroger does not stock it. Go across street to wallgreens. They do have western union, a lottery machine and nice helpful people working there.

I have frequented this Kroger for over 15 years because it is close to my home. It has a bad reputation in the area, but I think that is mostly from snobby people who would rather drive an extra 10-15 minutes to a more pretentious suburban grocery. Produce, meats, and deli, are all solid though selection is limited. The store is relatively small, so selection just isnt going to be what it is in the burbs. The staff is as courteous as any Kroger.

I go there more often then I care to admit. But its a convenient store and I know where my things are. The prices rarely ever change. And I have never had food poisoning no matter how shady it looks from the outside. The people are always either friendly or know what their doing, sometimes both. The bakery is always delicious, as good as some upscale Krogers Ive been to and the produce has never been rotten or not good.

Not exactly trashy. Store had obviously not seen a remodel for a long time, however, they did recently begin remodeling. Products are limited, but it is a small building. Ive never had a problem with produce not being fresh, and they do have a small selection of organic products. Im grateful theres still grocery stores that I dont have to walk a football field to grab a gallon of milk. Just my 2 cents :)

This Kroger seems a little sketchy, but its perfectly fine. They dont have much with respect to the finer amenities, but they do stand out in two areas: beer selection and produce. Thats right, produce. None of their typical customers buy produce so you can get great deals on good stuff. Its the only place you can go where you know youll be able to find avocados ready to eat!

The store is always really dirty, theres a police guard in the front, the food is rarely restocked, its difficult to leave the parking lot back to Wayne. Customers are frequently yelling or fighting. All around the most disgusting Kroger Ive ever been in, and its the worst thing about living downtown.

This location is the only real grocery store near UD or on the South East side of downtown I would consider. The Stop and Save is twice as expensive and has metered parking. The Save-a-Lot carries mostly generic products. The price is so reasonable that there is no sense is competition opening nearby.

Both neighborhood people and local restaurants depend on this place.. Not as big a selection but its friendly and nearby with most everything you could want in a medium size grocery store.. The same good produce available at all Krogers.. salad bar, deli , bakery and reasonably priced commodities.

An older krogers, small but nearly everything one needs. Bakery markdowns are to die for *LOL*. Not often overly crowded but driveway off Wayne avenue is old style and turning left on the way out impossible during heavy traffic times.

Best Kroger experience I have ever had. I have been here multiple times. Each time I come, the people go out of their way to help me. They are very pleasant and the prices are more than reasonable. I plan to make this my main Kroger.

I love this store. Its a small community-based store but they always deliver. I absolutely love the staff. Bobby,Nina, and Nikki are some of my favs. Nikki actually ordered a product for me that they usually dont carry in store.

This Kroger store is much smaller than many others, and only really has the essentials. Many people dislike this, but its nice for being able to quickly get everything on your list as long as theres nothing too specific

I got a fresh salad. Found a bug in it. (Found out this bug releases small amounts of poison within its environment.) Ended up sick for almost a week, recovering. Check your salads people or just go somewhere else.

I regularly shop at this Kroger. I love the store and the staff. Everyone is so super nice and helpful. It has all I need to get at a grocery store. I am in and out on my lunch break with what I came after.
