I moved here 11 months ago and up till now have enjoyed my visits with goodwill. Today I went into the store # 116 on Lynhaven Parkway and came upon two adorable vintage manaquins. Excitedly I rush them to the front and ask the cashier if I could leave them there until I finished shopping .(which I have done Many times before) She said yes and directed me on to where to put them. I continue shopping and return to the register and ask the SAME cashier where my maniquines were . She replies I am sorry but unfortunately we are unable to hold items. This coming from the same person that told me where to put them. Then I was told I left the store . I never once left the store. If at any time there was any question about me having left why didnt they make an announcement of some sort to verify that fact. There gesture to correct the situation was 20% off . I already had a full punch card for that so to me that was insulting . I am in there along with all the other goodwill store roughly 4-5 times a week . Not to mention the amount of Donations left by my family. Maybe the money I spend in there doesnt mean much to this company but i will not being going back any time soon ... sad for the people that this organization helps . Sometime these places need to look past the business of it and focus on integrity and common sense .

They Invent new categories to raise their prices on free merchandise. No more adult and kids books, now they charge for "young adult books." When did they become a second hand book store?! Maurice may be kind to the employees and a percentage of customers but will not show that courtesy to certain customers. Hes very quick to combat opinions and state his "offense" over what customers say. He also made it clear that their "charity" is their own payroll and utilities! This is straight from a managers mouth, not an interpretation. What an example hes making here. The employees may put things on the wrong shelf but customers are blamed and have to pay for the mistake. The employees are starting to have attitudes and make customers not want to shop there because you just feel so awkward. If you go there, just try to enjoy it and look for your own deal but hopefully you wont need assistance.

I cant believe they would charge outrageous prices and call it a thrift store. walked in and saw they had nes games and ask if i could buy a few and was told no we sell it as a set. i asked how much for it and the lady told me 115 dollars for games that are worth 2 dollars a pop anywhere else. I told her it was above ebay price and she laughed. i asked for a manager and she called her on store phone she refused to come out and talk to me and denied me from buying it. i understand its a thrift store and its for charity but the dont have to treat me like crap after all i have donated tons of stuff to them and bought many things from them i dont see myself helping them out anymore if the are going to be over priced its a thrift store not a major retailer.

The employees really need to watch their language on the sales floor! I dont bring my kids with me so they could listen to someone talking about how much the store sucks and how short staffed they are to another employee and dropping the f bomb and using s**t at the end of every sentence. This is just plain ridiculous how they act here!!!!! I walked out and wont return if this is something that happens from managers to employees.

Some racks are too packed to adequately examine garments. Perhaps this is because most garments are 3.99 or higher, which is expensive for a thrift store. I saw a lot of good stuff, but I resisted buying (except for the color that was 50% off) because I know I can find awesome name-brand stuff in good condition thats cheaper elsewhere. Note: there is a large selection of ladies clothes here.

Always a terrible experience. Love how that one manager always is too busy, flirting with the one girl that put stuff out, to ever be bothered by customers. He wouldnt cut it in big store retail for sure.

I love how inexpensive this store is and I even got a bunch of dresses for special occassions here! I often refurbish items and I get most of my craft ideas here!
