Update: Stephanie was my groomers name. When I picked up my dog, she NEVER looked at his file to know that he needed hypoallergenic shampoo and not the regular kind!!! I also told her that he needed his paws to be cleaned up. He came out looking the same way that I left him and smelling like tangerines. I spoke to the manager of the salon and her response was that it was chaotic earlier with so many dogs and that Stephanie was running behind so she was trying to hurry with all the dogs. She said over and over about how chaotic it was and that Stephanie just forgot. Looking at my dog you could have seen the hair on the paws needed to be trimmed with one glance. The non-file looking was just ignorance. Their look great guarantee does not apply even though it says if youre not happy then its free. I was VERY upset when they brought my dog out when it was time for him to be picked up. Her response was just the chaotic and if he had any allergic reactions that they will give him another bath. I did NOT get my money back. I am going to be calling and speaking to the store manager tomorrow. Today, I had to wait over 20 minutes to schedule an appointment because the lady could not figure out how to book it on the computer. Then, when I arrive I had to stand for 15 minutes to even check my dog in. Not one employee spoke to me, but many came running when the Papa Johns delivery man arrived. While standing in the waiting area, there was a large dog in there that was very aggressive. He tried to attack my friendly dog twice and two other ladies huddled in the corner by where I stood away from it too. Many employees saw this happening as two ladies were trying to control him and keep him by a wall. Not one came over to help or say something to them. In two years, I have never seen my dog shake so much. When my groomer finally did greet me, she never checked my phone number that they have on record and they are supposed to do this every time. She never went over the file on my dog as he needs hypoallergenic shampoo, so I am really hoping she looks at his computer file. She barely even did a hands on assessment of him. She only touched his hips and that was it. Normally, they are looking for mats and touch various spots on him. I am very disappointed in the service that I received from them as they normally would receive five stars from me, but after today, I think it might be time to find somewhere else.

I read a lot of mixed reviews on the grooming side. But first off. Petsmart is always offering me discounts. Most times I dont need it but every time I take mya in there is some sort of deal. Im actually heading in today for the free bad of food and a discount on treats. Other than that at this particular location I feel the staff is very friendly. As far as rude groomers that portion does seem over booked but I can say after going to several groomers in the area. Nicole at petsmart is the last that will be handling mya from now on. Not only a good groomer but my dog usually is very aggressive towards females in general and they bonded well. I may be a little bias to this place as when I drop mya off I usually go across the street to fresh start nutrition and enjoy their delicious protein shakes :) lol.

The customer service here is pretty good. The store is pretty organized and clean. There is normally a speedy check out. I have purchased many animals from here now and accessories. Ive never had any problems with anything from here. Even better, the pet purks program where you get points when you spend money and get discounts and coupons is great! Ive saved a lot of money here! I even purchased a injured hamster from here, they said if we wanted to take her to a vet or if we had any problems to bring her back or let them know and they would take care of everything! I recomend Pets mart to anyone looking for a new fury or feathered friend!

We were in this store and fell in love with a chinchilla that they had. We left the store without asking about it. We then came back an hour later to buy it. When I found someone that worked there and told her I wanted to buy it she said it was sold "this morning" so my question was WHY isnt there a sold sign on it? She had no answer except"sorry" Needless to say I was pissed and my daughter was very upset. Im always in this store buying things for my other animals. Ive NEVER had a problem but then again Ive never bought an animal from them. Guess I still wont!!!

My family and I have been shopping for years and started using their grooming services for a approximately a year. Ashley is such a sweet and amazing groomer to my dogs!! Her work is second to none and her warm personality makes it easy for me to trust my dogs with her. My dogs have never shown fear or anxiety towards Ashley or PetSmart. I used to have them groomed elsewhere and they were so fearful of that place and groomer so we knew we needed to find a new groomer...hence why we went to PetSmart and thankfully found Ashley.

First time visitor to PetSmart grooming in Schererville with my two dogs, 15 years and 7 years for badly needed nail trimming. Was indeed fortunate to have Lynn assist me. My oldest dog (Lab/Chow mix) has mobility issues but a great disposition and the little guy (Chihuahua/Papillon mix) sometimes has an attitude. They were treated so kindly and gently it almost brought tears to my eyes. All staff in the grooming area were welcoming, professional and courteous. I really appreciate the service I received.

Never again will I ever step foot in this place for grooming. If you cant handle old, sore, grumpy dogs who are afraid, get the hell out of the grooming business. And hire groomers with some backbones and abilities. A strong desire to "go the extra" for customers. Ill take my dogs to real groomers who actually feel they need to earn a living. Instead of these twits who are just collecting a pay check, and doing the best they can to get through a day so they can party in the evening.

I was very upset with my grooming experience. I had originally booked with an experienced groomer. However, before I arrived they changed who was grooming my dog. The lady did not know what she was talking about and was rude. So much so that I refused to leave my dog. I had brought him there for a nice hair cut, not to be shaved. I can do that at home. In the future they need to keep the customers experience in mind when changing things without your consent.

Will never recommend. Had a puppy bath done about 2 weeks ago and they said nails were trimmed. Just got off phone with a young punk manager and states there only a 48 hour turnaround time. I told her I work in a vet and puppies nails dont grow that fast. Poor customer service and poor management. This is for the grooming department. She told me there was nothing she could do. I further advised her I not was informed of 24 turnaround time.
