I have been taking my labradoodle here to be groomed for almost nine months now. My groomer, Sara, is always phenomenal and does a great job with her. (My dog feels calm around her, which should speak volumes to how great Sara is.) This morning, however, I was dropping my dog off for her grooming appointment. I have been told in the past that it is okay to drop dogs off for grooming. Her appointment was an afternoon appointment, but it honestly would not have mattered if it was at 7am or 2pm, as I have to work until 5pm. When I arrived to check my dog in, the lady who was completing our check in, (who was not the wonderful Sara), immediately started giving me a guilt trip about my dog having mats. She was telling me they would have to shave her all the way down. This is not the case, as Sara and I have worked before to spot shave her rougher places. She then immediately said she would have no other choice than to charge me the fifteen dollar de-matting fee. Which is fine! However the attitude and tone she took with me through this whole interaction felt incredibly demeaning. As I was checking out, she stated that I need to start scheduling my dog earlier appointments as it is inconvenient for them to have dogs there all day. I apologized and stated that it was my understanding that they have drop off hours, and since I wouldnt be able to get my dog until six anyway, I thought it did not make too much of a difference when her appointment would be. I told her I would just go ahead and take my dog back with me, and reschedule for another time. She again, very rudely, stated it was fine for today but just to be mindful of that in the future. After feeling incredibly disrespected by the whole interaction, I decided to take my dog and my business elsewhere. I spend over $100 to get my dog groomed, and I do not feel it is okay to be treated in this way. I am a little devastated because I cannot say enough good things about Sara and the job that she does.

Rude employees! I called in advance if i can do a refund,as long as i have my receipt. I had both in my purse and in my email , i had to return a gerbil due the fact my son was just to young to handle and she bite me and my son more than 6 times. I will miss Lil Yellow Fairy. I feel really bad i had to return her. Anyway, i had to do a return for Lil Yellow Fairy and her supplies. The manager Sonya was rude to me on the phone. She gave me such an ugly look when i came to meet up with her in the store just to return the gerbil back. The cashier was rude. I forgot my debit card at my house the one i paid for. She tried enforcing me to put on store credit. I told her i could go home and get it. She said no. Store credit only. I talked to Sonya manager and i told her the same thing. I paid with debit card i can go home and get it. She said with attitude" what ever. Do it on cash then.bye" . The cashier was rude and slamming stuff everywhere. I wish i got her name that way i could report her. Really uncalled for.

Took my baby and dropped her off at 11:15 for a 11:30 appointment, Monday, September 18. There were 5 groomers there grooming dogs. I was told max time they would have her would be 4 hours. Ive never had it take over 3 hours to have her groomed. However, at 3:30, which was 4 hours, I called and they told me she would be ready about 4:30. Come on! Thats 5 hours. No excuse for that. Her hair looks like the groomer rushed to get her done. Even though she looks better than when I dropped her off, her haircut looks pretty shabby. I complained and they gave me my senior discount plus and extra 15%. The groomer apologized and said it was because they were short handed. Like I said there were 5 groomers there when I dropped her off. Just a case of overbooking. I will never take her back to any Petsmart nor will I recommend them. I will definitely do just the opposite. By the way, if I didnt mention it, it was the West Nashville Petsmart.

I frequently shop at this particular PetSmart because it is close to home and they carry a specific type of food that I have to feed my senior dog. Until recently I have never had a complaint and I have always had positive experiences here. The past three times I have shopped here, a rude employee was at the register. Her name is Victoria. She does not speak to me except to ask for my phone number. She does not look at me. She does not say thank you or have a nice day. Its almost as if she goes out of her way not to speak or be friendly. Each time I am in line, I notice that she is like this with all of the customers. I would much rather shop somewhere where the employees are pleasant and friendly but I dont have a choice since I need that specific food for my dog. As I said, the other employees here are always friendly. Unfortunately, she has been the only one at the registers the past three times I have visited the store.

I had a great experience! I have had Syrians before, but never robo hamsters. I called every pet store near me and, only they had so many hamster spicies. Ofter telling an employee we have adopting 2 female robos he immediately found someone who worked in the small pet department. The lady was vary nice! She was vary patient as I looked in the cage and picked out my 2 girls. As I was pinking my pets out she reminded me of store policy and recommended a few things I needed, after getting the stuff from a near by isle, she unlocked the cage and and let me pet a few robos to make sure I liked the ones I picked. She got just the 2 I wanted. She was vary helpful the entire process, it was well worth the 20 minutes there and 20 minutes back, for such a great experience. We got many helpful tips. I would definitely go back to get more small pets.

I was not too satisfied with my experience at Banfield, taking care of an injured cat. The first visit, we had a scheduled appointment, got there on time, and then waited for an hour before even getting into a room, and another 30mins to see the vet. Second visit was quicker, but the bandage they applied came off the minute we got home. They had just closed and the doctor was already gone for the day, so I got to reapply the bandage myself. Also, they prescribed an oral form of Metacam, which is questionable whether or not its even safe for cats.. the box states for use in dogs only. There is an injectable form for cats, but this was not what was prescribed.

I worked here a few years back, and I can tell you for sure that they take the BEST care of their in-store pets. No matter how small a problem was with the pet, it could be just a sneeze or a scratch, they will make sure that animal gets healed ASAP. I dont know how well Banfield handles big emergencies, because I havent had one, but the check ups and flea protection I have taken my pets to there have gone very well. I took a small pet there when it had pretty bad respiratory problems, they prescribed her some meds, and were very kind, they even waved the visit fee and only charged for the prescription. Love it.
