Extremely disappointed in the customer service I received from this location. I am 21 years old and do look young so I was immediately carded. The gentlemen who was assisting myself and my younger sister (who I voiced was 16 years old) had stated he needed to show my ID to his manager because I am visiting from out of state and do not hold a Florida ID. We went to the manager and I voiced to him as well my sister had just came along for the ride with me. He nodded and said, "Okay." We finished getting the bottles I needed for my family and I. We went to check out and the young cashier was quick to ask for my ID yet again (understandably) and proceeded to ask for my younger sisters ID. I again spoke up saying yet again, she is 16 years old and came along for the ride. I have already been carded twice now and I have already spoken with your manager. She called the manager over and he proceeded to tell me they could not sell to me because my sister is underage and I am not her parent/guardian. I completely agreed with him on this matter HOWEVER why in the world would you have me waste 45 minutes of my time around your store looking for bottles of wine just to tell me you cant sell it to me when I get to the register? You spoke to my face 30 minutes before I checked out and I explained to you already she was underage? I did not put up a fight as there was no reason to do so, but I highly recommend Total Wine to deal with this matter and maybe make their signs a little bigger or even state CLEARLY that minors can not come in to their store unless they are with their parents. If this had been shown promenetly there would have never been an issue.

After reading the posted reviews we were a bit apprehensive about trying Total Wines. We live in Venice and were driving up to shop at Costco so we figured why not. The store is easy to find as there is a stop light right at the entrance to the parking lot. There is plenty of parking available. The store was clean, well maintained, uncluttered and the aisles well marked. The selection was incredible and the prices very good. I can not remember seeing such a large and wide variety of beers anywhere else. While walking through the store we were approached by a salesman named Doug who asked us if we needed any assistance. My wife asked a few questions to which he assisted her in her search. Later I had a question and he gladly stopped what he was doing at the time to assist me. He was very polite, well spoken, knowledgeable, and helpful. On checking out the cashiers wore huge buttons stating that if you are under thirty then expect to be carded. This is becoming very prevalent in many areas especially during the spring break time. If you cant handle it then dont drink. The businesses dont do it to antagonize people, the law is very strict with them about complying. Our cashier was very upbeat, happy and helpful. Overall we enjoyed a very nice time shopping at this Total Wine store.

Horrible service. I tagged along with my sister and her boyfriend (who are well over 21) because we were going to go to another store after (the sole purpose of me tagging along with them). We get to the check out counter, and they ask for everyones IDs, including mine. I told them that I was 20, and they refused to serve us, even when I hadnt touched the alcohol and wasnt even going to be consuming it. I wasnt going to be left in the steamy hot car when its 98 degrees out and unable to turn the car on because the car was close to being empty on gas. I asked for them to show me a sign where it says everyone who enters the store has to be 21 and up, they seemed to be unsure of having a sign, proving that I wasnt meant to be informed of this apparent rule. My parents spend a lot of money at Total Wine, and they will no longer be customers there. Such a shame because the selection is wonderful, but the service is awful.

I agree with the other bad reviews . The staff is very rude and lazy .God forbid I ask a question . I go to few total wine stores in fl and this one is the worst . None of the staff looks or feel like they enjoy working in the store . I actually dislike going and probably will stop coming to this one when visiting . Theres other liquier stores in the area Ok to add to the bed review a little good ending I couldnt believe it after almost two years , I went to the south store and finally got treated with respect . So Ill give u three stars because it might still change . Thank you John and Micheal

Cashiers at total wine are usually morons, no exception here. Paul, you should probably go back to school and learn how to read. Two stars because they carry almost everything you could want and undercut all other liquor stores employing more intelligent people.

Total Wine has the most comprehensive selection of beverages I have ever seen. I enjoy Belgian and German beer ever since I spent 3 years in Berlin many years ago. This store has many of my favorites! The prices are only OK but the variety is unbelievable.

Its like the publix of wine and liquor stores. Everything is neat and clean. The ambience is elegant plus the employees are nice and knowledgeable about the products. Huge selection.
