I Drive all the way to Madisonville to go to a decent Rural King. The management there is extremely rude. Nowhere near the selection of what they have in Madisonville. The store is just nasty and if you think thats just how Rural King is supposed to be, then you have not been to a proper Rural King. On a side note something that does not affect my stars for the store and only because I cant rate it 0 stars lol. The cops were called on me for having a backpack in the store and being accused of theft only because I was wearing a backpack. I was out walking and needed to carry my backpack with me for two reasons one I was going to go to subway and work on some of my work 2 I have to carry an EpiPen with me wherever I go and that wont fit in my pockets. A manager found me in the store while I went to go check on a price for a car battery and told me that I must leave the store or take my bag up front out the sliding doors and leave it to continue doing my shopping. I explained that this was not possible I have a thousand dollars worth of stuff in my bag. I asked "can I put it behind the customer service desk" to which they replied No. I look around I see a couple of ladies that have purses in their cart that are just as big or bigger than my backpack(which I didnt know was possible, I never payed attention to purses, plus they were older ladies, this makes me assume they take a lot of meds or they just carry a bunch of stuff. My wife had never carried something that large unless we went swimming lol) to which I ask dont they need to leave their purses outside . They replied "No women are allowed to carry purses they need them" and I said "well I need my bag" and again explained the situation. I accuse them of being sexist and they call the cops because they feel the need to search my bag. I am 32 years old and was dressed very nice to be out walking and I gave no cause for concern and even offered them to search my bag. If I wanted to steal stuff dont think I need a backpack to do it. The backpack would just draw attention like it did. Lucky for them Im not a thief but I cant say it didnt cross my mind to go in on another day without my backpack steal some stuff and set it outside the door just to say F you. I worked in retail for years and this is not how you handle your customers. Men have a right to carry bags also...

I love Rural King. Grab a bag of popcorn on the way in and eat while you browse the many isles. Ill be found in the automotive, hardware and tools sections if you need me. Friendly staff waiting to help you find what youre looking for.

I found what I needed at a great price. The only problem I encountered was trying to go around corners, one whole end was blocked and you had to backup the electric cart because the aisle was too narrow too turn around in.
