NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE!!! We have been going here pretty much ever since they opened. And tonight I went with my kids to the Salvadorean restaurant inside for dinner [very good pupusas]. With dinner my son had a coconut juice, which he did not finish so we took along with us. On our way through the store the rent-a-cop "Ofilio" accosted us, and that is where things went south. He told us to go pay for the juice at the cashier [mistake #1, he assumed instead of asking]. I told him I wouldnt pay again, since I already paid at the restaurant. He said they do not sell that juice at the restaurant [mistake #2, he made a claim he didnt verify and was wrong about]. I offered for all of us to walk back to the restaurant and he could verify the fact. He refused. [mistake #3, he was being obstinate and refusing to conclude the situation objectively]. He said he was going to let it go, but I needed to carry a receipt from now on. I refused, and asked him to arrange with the restaurants to sticker their carryouts. He refused [mistake #4, he refused to find a way to put a solution in place]. I asked him to call the manager, he refused [mistake #5, not willing to have the matter arbitrated]. I found the manager, told her the story, she apologized and said she will ask the restaurants to sticker takeouts. He came over and started yelling, and called me a "f***ing liar"....in front of my kids, who had just seen the whole thing. He tried to claim that he only asked me for a receipt. [mistake #5 & #6, swearing at a customer and now lying about the situation]. A bit of a yelling match ensued. He threatened me to not point a finger at him. [mistake #7 and #8, refusing to apologize and creating a scene in front of all the customers at checkout]. Finally I was satisfied with the store managers apology, but also wanted one from him. The store manager asked him to apologize....guess what...he refused. [mistake #9 and #10, refusing to apologize and refusing the managers direction]. I think I can safely meet all my ethnic food needs at the following stores; Hispanic = La Michoacan, several in cbus Indian = India Grocers, and several nepali places around saraga. Middle Eastern = Mediterranean Imports, Istanbul Market Easter european = place next to India Grocers Far east asia = CAM Japanese = Tensuke market Korean = Arirang All of which are much cleaner, safer, fresher and bigger individual selection than saraga, but saraga had the novelty of all of them in one.

This place is a fantastic market to spend way too long wandering. Definitely dont come here hungry! When I moved to Columbus I was amazed at how many little international markets and specialty grocers there were tucked in all over the place. If nothing else, Saraga has them all beat on scope. The store is as large as most big-name grocery stores, and its aisles are divided with one or two per nation/region---China, Japan, Korea, East Asia, Europe, America, Africa, India, Middle East---thats what I can recall off the top of my head! Its hard to pick just a few things this place is great for, but I can try. Firstly, if youre looking for unusual (by American standards) produce, this is the place. It all tends to be high quality and affordable, too. Secondly, there are so many sauces and seasonings here you could probably spend years trying them all. Third, their fresh meat and seafood counters are all impressive as well---you could reconstruct a duck head to toe if you wanted to. Variety and selection are well-represented. Also, the United States needs to step their candy and snack game up---the rest of the world is light years ahead in that realm! I do want to give a shout out to the little hidden gem that is Momo Ghar, a tiny Nepali restaurant inside Saraga. Their space and menu are small, but the food is phenomenal.

This is the best grocery store for any foreign food hands-down. Exotic fruits, tubers and veggies in the produce section. A huge frozen selection of all different cuisine around the edges of the store. The meat section is definitely a winner. The beef is VERY affordable, and you can purchase large cuts. Whole shoulders and legs of pork, as well as traditional cuts. The chicken is so-so. Pretty standard. However, they do have all the feet, hearts, and giblets. They offer a halal meat department (pay separately), which is one of the few places where you can find affordable goat and lamb. People like to complain about the fish department and how it smells. Im not sure that people understand that fish smell like fish. Especially when it is being cleaned to order in front of you. Everything else is what you expect of an Asian/foreign grocery store. It can be very disorganized at times, but I would say that is due to the customers more than the management If you drop in before noon on the weekends and before 5 on the weekdays, it is very tidy. They do need to work on replacing pricing labels however, as sometimes they are missing. Be sure to buy some bread from the panaderia before you leave. It is excellent, and cheap!

This place is jam-packed with food from all over the world and if youre in the mood for cooking something International chances are youll find your ingredients here. My only real complaint about this place is just that there is a lot here and I kind of question the service a little women some areas as well as curious way things are thought theres almost this sort of like monponsett or feeling too even such a large Supermarket with both the appealing and not appealing aspects of the to expect from a Impala store here. One nice thing is it it almost feels like that of a bizarre seeing as there is just so much here and every corner just seems to have a lot of stuff for anyones particular dining habits interesting Lee enough it actually has a Tibetan restaurant which I found very interesting. The Mexican bakery is also another place that I recommend that people can check out.

Saraga is a low profile store, it is a fact. We have been shopping here for 3 years. The market has a good variety but it is operated by crooks. They sell always, yes always expired products of all kinds. We buy unfortunately lots of stuff here due to proximity. Produce has a large variety but getting expensive and at least half of them should be thrown away. You can get much better produce and goods from other well known stores. We are cutting our shopping from Saraga gradually. Our shopping experience is real and we can prove with receipts with pics to show anyone what kind of store this is and save your visit there. I wish Kroger start to carry more international selections and we could shop with confidence without bearing the smell and low quality feel of Saraga.

The word in the name International truly it is food from many countries fruit and vegetables that many of us have never seen But hurdle there is a real butcher selling beef and pork there is also a butcher selling beef goat and lamb Hala these are a few of the eggplants they carry and they do bring other types from time to time how many different kind of potatoes do you think there are well youll be surprised to find out a lot more than Yukon Gold russet potatoes you need to see for yourself not enough room to tell you about everything did you ever wonder what the Dorian plant smells and tastes like Andrew Zimmerman cannot stand well they have it at this store you want to know what Jackfruit taste like they have it you want Dragon pairs they have them
