I wouldnt suggest this store, unless you are willing to wait a couple months for your items and pay the big bucks for low quality furniture/ customer service. I made it around the entire store before being asked if I needed help. I just got off work, and looked a wreck.. So I guess you will have to wait unless you look like youre are there to spend big bucks. I wouldnt be making a bad review like this without good cause. I wouldnt suggest akins to anyone. Look around other stores and youll see what I mean, price wise.. I saw a review about someone going to a place in Rainsville.. Barterpost, I believe.. and them having a real good, affordable store.. so Im heading there my next day free. My advice.. shop around before you do anything!!

Delivery service is TERRIBLE !!! I was given delivery time 11:30-1:30. Get a call at 1:15, they are running late and will be there before 2:30. Didnt show up until 2:45. Called the store to find out what was going on, only to find out that they decided to pick up an order from Scottsboro store and delivery it, instead of delivery mine on time. VERY, VERY poor customer service !!!! (Wouldnt give a start, except I couldnt post the review without one).

Ive bought furniture here numerous times; always the best prices, really helpful people over the phone and in store. Live in Birmingham and make the 90 mile drive because its always worth it. Every. Single. Time. HUGE selection. Wide range of styles, price ranges, and decor for every room. From the outside it doesnt look like much but its definitely great.

Service was very bad. Not even greeted as I walked in and not once was I asked if needed anything.. Very pricey.. I found the same beautiful bedroom set at barter post store in rainsville for more than $2,500 cheaper.. AND they were welcoming. I will NOT be returning to Akins. I suggest looking around before buying from this one.

Beautiful brand name furniture at huge discounts. Everyone is helpful in finding what you need. If they dont have it in stock they will do their best to order what you need. Joy helped us and was very patient and helpful. Super nice family owned business!!

Bad delivery service. They showed up late and did not bring all the furniture, when i ask them to bring them later on the same day, they say that i could be possible until the next week. I dont recommend this store.

Family owned and operated with two locations and a huge selection of some of the best furniture in the country. The Dogtown location has been there forever and just keeps growing. Wouldnt buy furniture anywhere else
