I would not be writing a post, but I got burned twice by this shop. Once a while back they did not return the plastic lug nut covers...for appearance purposes. When I called them they said they would order them and call me when they got in because they could not find them in the store. I never got a call...when I called they denied ever talking to me about it...life is busy, I dropped it. The second time was because there was deteriorating damage to my new tires...cracking...peeling side wall...turns out there is a recall on that model of Michelins, but not for the size I had on my car...same exact tire...just not size 17"! Not their fault, they credited me for the unused value of the tires and applied it to new tires...they told me I should get new ones because the Michelins could blow out and roll the Jeep, but that it was up to me and I didnt have to change them...yeah right! After haggling over the installation cost they changed the tires and in the process lowered my car onto something damaging (cracked, piece missing) the underside of the front bumper cover and components just on the other side of the bumper cover...radiator from what I can see. They proceeded to tell me that must have been like that when I brought it in! but that an adjuster would be in touch...they were, someone came out and looked at the damage...I had 2 phone numbers to reach out to...no one was calling me back! Over a month later I received a letter from Discount Tire that said they have found that they are not liable! Bull! I am not that guy, have never been the one to lawyer up...but I see no other recourse at this point. Sucks, but what else can I do at this point. I so regret not going to Costco just next door...so regret it! I hope this helps someone out there not go through this type of experience. ______________________________________________________________________ Update to this post: they deny the damage, but also fabricated a story that we while in the store admitted to an "impact" earlier that week...no such thing happened! Ridiculous! Also, in their defense they are claiming that the damage is too high up to be caused by their curb. We never claimed it was curb damage! They lowered the car off the lift onto something in their shop...I am assuming their tool gurney or something else...they are defending against claims that were not made (curb?) and fabricating stories to help their defense! (earlier impact never happened!) NEVER WILL I EVER USE THIS PLACE AGAIN. Good luck to anyone who does...you will need it. I wish I could rate less than one star.

What a fantastic policy. Discovered a flat after walking out to my car yesterday. Internet forum folks told me to find a Discount Tire shop, as they would fix it for free. Showed up there today, told them what I had heard. They said, "absolutely!" Walked out to the car, showed him my "screwed" tire. He checked the tread depth on all my tires, went back inside, spend 1 minute giving them my info, and they said, "Have a seat. Few cars ahead of you." 20 minutes later Im back on the road. Tire was patched, dunked to check for leaks, balanced, AND mounted on the car. I saw them torquing the lugs on my other wheels to spec too, and they even put my spare tire back under the cargo tray in the trunk, all screwed down. They backed the car out, handed me my receipt and said, "See ya!" Total cost: $0.00. No haggling, no "your car is leaking this, or needs new that." (Other than when the guy was checking my tires and told me I was getting towards the end of their life - which is true - they only have 4/32 of tread left on the front.) Overall a fantastic experience. And all the mechanics and everyone were really friendly. This is how all businesses should be run. I have no doubt they make money on their tires, and they might make a bit more money if they charged even $20 for a patch, but getting a flat tire sucks, and its nice of them to offer this service for free. I realize they figure they win over customers that way, and Im totally fine with that. In fact, I might just get my next set of tires through them just to say thank you.

I went to this Discount Tire location and was simply amazed of how well they all worked together as a team, I couldnt notice who was the lead in charge because they all were showing initiative and great customer service. When I first called the store Philip the manager working at the time was extremely helpful and understanding. He told me to " Come On In " When I walked in you could see from entering the parking lot they had a little bit of a rush, I was one of them. But upon entering the inside of the store you noticed that everything was under control and customers were being taking care of all in a timely manner. Coming from Pepboys Stores as a employee and dealing with tires and service, I was so Proud to see this team here at Discount Tire in Mount Prospect,, IL was a "Amazing" team. From Semen the Asst. Manager working phones and the counter making sure everyone was being helped, down to the tech who did my tires, just as if he was working on a Nascar car, Mind you it was a 1994 Geo Prizm, He did such a great job thanks Mark keep up the good work. I cant express how pleased and satisfied I was with Philip and his team and teammates. Kudos to store Isle c 13. Cant wait to get my other tires and any other tires I will ever need. And also I cant wait to tell my car clients and friends about how Discount Tire in Mount Prospect will treat them like ROYALTY.

Terrible, awful!!!! I will never go back EVER!!!! I called the day before to make sure the tires I needed were in stock. They needed to get one so we agreed on a late afternoon appointment the next day. Dropped of the car and they called to say it was ready but a when I got there they had put on a different size without calling to ask if that was ok, or to offer me any options. As I left it was very apparent that the brake rotors had been damaged in the installation. I called for resolution and was told they couldnt possibly have damaged the rotors, which is actually very easy, all you do is tighten the bolts in the wrong order. I went back to get the correct tires, they said they would call when they came in, that didnt happen. I asked them to be sure to check the rotors but wasnt told anything about that either. When the installer was questioned he said the brakes were fine. THEY ARE NOT FINE OR FIXED OR OFFERED TO BE FIXED. AAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN! Terrible customer service I would rather have paid a lot more than need to find a mechanic to fix these brakes.

This is going to be a fun review to write!!! I am 29 years old, I have a 2004.5 GLI Jetta and a 1996 Toyota Celica GT4. Both cars are stored and not driven daily or even weekly. I believe the first time I went to DISCOUNT TIRE IN MT PROSPECT WAS, when I was 18, 11 years ago. There are a great company, always have knowledgeable, well trained staff who genuinely want to help you find the best tire for your car, your wallet, your needs and your desire. The manager WILLIAM, who has only been at this location for a few years, is a really great guy. Super friendly, real, not aggressive or pushy at all!!! He never rushes you and has perfect customer service. He is how store managers in retail need to be. It seems to have gotten even better since I first started going years ago, I did not think that was possible. I highly, highly recommend DISCOUNT TIRE IN MT PROSPECT!!!!!!!! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!
