My rating is for the quality of the fresh food. Multiple items from different departments looks good in the store and when you get home they are already rotten. Bananas were mostly yellow with a little green at the top -. Opened them up and they were all ready mushy and slimy on the inside. Whole chicken - bought it on 10-2, the date for the sell by was 10-7 by 10-4 the entire refrigerator smelled like rotting flesh Petite pork shoulder - vacuum sealed the date for sale was the 12th again I opened it and it smelled like garbage. I dont know about anyone else but I refuse to feed my family rotten meat. I normally dont complain on the internet, I try to give the company a chance to fix the issue and to redeem themselves. However, in order for that to happen they first have to answer the phone, which apparently they dont do.

I dont live at the lake and found this to be a typical Food Lion with the exception of the staff. It was dated with almost no fresh organic produce. On a Saturday afternoon, this place had a WEIRD vibe throughout. A couple of shoppers stopped dead in their tracks and stared with their jaws literally hanging slack at me and my wife as we made our way through the store. The cashier in the express lane met us with that same slack jaw, openly stared, and seemed to wear her hostile attitude with pride. She paused to slowly look my wife up and down and give her a nasty look before she started scanning items and never greeted us or said much else. Maybe we just caught the weirdos on a Saturday afternoon but Ill do my best to avoid this creepy Food Lion in the future.

Just had a very bad experience with a very rude cashier name Victoria @ this location....Im still not sure why. And to think,I used to work @ this store. I spoke with Manager, Mike Obaugh and he basically brushed me off. This is my hometown store and I have never had an issue with any of the associates. Cashier Victoria, you really need to brush up on your customer service skills and Mr. Obaugh, you need to pay attention to your customers complaints......your customers make you and your store!

Best sliced off the bone ham Ive ever had; the local brews selection rivals Kroger, which means our craft beer lovers wont have to trek all the way to cville for a great local brew; besides a gas station, its one of the only places youll find around the lake still open after 10PM!

Extremely rude workers. Ive only met one nice worker there (cashier). Ive been to this food lion numerous times so this isnt just a one time thing. If you need help finding anything all I can say is good luck trying to make an employee acknowledge your existence.

I shop at Food Lion regularly when there are good discounts. My last visit was disappointing because they did not have some of the items I wanted. Otherwise, Im very happy with Food Lion and seldom shop anywhere else except, of course, Walmart.

Had no other options while living at the lake for 7 years, they never had much of anything one needs to actually cook decent meals for entertaining, few staff nice and helpful, the rest no comments. I always did my shopping in Cville.

Foodlion is pretty decent. Although my biggest complaint is the whole bean coffee selection is far from favorable and they also stopped caring several popular items. The kosher section could also really expand past 5 small shelves.

Poor beer selection, nice staff, a little too expensive, I find myself driving to Kroger in C-ville for bigger loads of groceries and only go to this Food Lion when I need an item or two because its 5 minutes down the road.

They are the only game in town and they know it. Shelves are empty, only a couple of check out lanes are open at any given time. I now shop at Wegmans.
