I’m not going to categorize this as a positive or negative review – just posting to let you read and decide for yourselves. I am currently stationed on the east coast, so look elsewhere for my cars (obvious rust issues), and eBay has done me well in the past. I found a 2003 VW that was advertised as having “many upgrades” to include “Lamborghini wheels, big brake kit front and rear, and full adjustable BC Racing suspension”. Upon delivery the car was too low for my liking, but, it has a fully adjustable suspension, right? Unfortunately this was not the case. When I took the rear wheel off to ‘adjust’ there is a cheap (won’t call out the maker) spring in there that is not BC, nor adjustable. While the wheel is off, I realize it is a knock-off wheel, not a Lamborghini wheel. And finally, at closer inspection I realized the rear brakes were stock – not big brake kit as advertised. When I voiced my concern through an email with the dealer, they called to discuss – and here is their idea of a discussion (their words): “you said you were a VW guy, couldn’t you tell from the pictures it didn’t have big brakes on the rear.” Then, “I didn’t put ‘knock-off’ because I assumed everyone knew that lambo wheels wouldn’t fit a VW - they are too wide.” And went on to say “the guy that we bought it from said it had the BC Racing suspension, so I assumed and didn’t verify”. He then tried to sell me on the car again, and make me feel as the issues in the TexasHotRide ad were somehow my fault. I didn’t need selling, and I definitely didn’t need insult added to injury. My points were simple – there were some pretty big discrepancies from the ad, and I wanted some acknowledgement that they screwed up. I do like the car and I am keeping it. And, because they did offer to buy the car back from me I chose to not classify this review as negative – only informational. However, a dealership that assumes, doesn’t verify and fails to take any accountability doesn’t equate to a positive reading either. So, I guess lesson learned, and bad on me for not fully researching the fitment of Lamborghini wheels, or looking closely enough at the pics for the big rear brake kit.

So a little about my experience. I originally went up there to look at a 2011 Ford Mustang GT, I had test drove it and I really enjoyed it. They told me they would give me $7,000 for my trade in, which was a 2009 Cobalt SS Turbocharged with 52,000 miles. They inspected it, cranked it, sat in it and looked all over the vehicle and thats when they said they would give me $7,000 for it. Well I decided I was going to give it a couple of more weeks before I go on with the deal. About 3 weeks later, I was looking at a 2008 Dodge Caliber SRT4 on their website. So I called up there about 10 times, left messages after messages, trying to get ahold of someone to ask about the car. Well I finally was able to get a hold of them and they told me to come on it and look at it and test drive it. I was already approved from my bank about the vehicle and all I had to do was go up there and get the Caliber and sign some paperwork. When I went up there, they looked over the cobalt and test drove it and told me they couldnt give me $7,000 for it after I had all the paperwork ready with my bank and so they were asking an additional $1,000 after I was already giving them $1,000 plus a trade in that was newer and had less miles. Their customer service wasnt pleasing. The experience sucked and a week after I bought the caliber the PCM in it was shorting out and was burning my 1st cylinder coil and I then had to spend another $500 to get a aftermarket PCM and get it flashed to my car. When I was there they were just rude and didnt really care about what I wanted. Seemed very unprofessional with all the nice cars that they have to show for. The Caliber was filthy with nearly bald tires, the inside was not vacuumed or cleaned in any way. They didnt do any of the basic maintenance before they sold it to me. VERY UNPLEASED.

WORST used car business Ive done business with, they WILL lie to your face, I flew 1000miles to pick up a vehicle they promised me "your going to love". "MAGNUSON SUPERCHARGED STAGE 2" it was s/c but "stage 2" WTF? no "STAGE 2", "POLISHED AIR TO AIR FRONT MOUNT 3 CORE INTERCOOLER" < WHAT? no, no external intercooler. " 8 RIB DRIVE SETUP" again NO its a 6 rib drive belt. "KOOKS LONG TUBE HEADERS, KOOKS CERAMIC COATED CENTER SECTION, QTP CUT OUTS, SLP CAT BACK" NO, it had JBA NOT ceramic coated headers and HACKED UP mid pipes, with 2-1/4 y-pipe for cut outs welded by back yard monkey to stock pipes with added SLP mufflers.....still quoting Texas Hot Rides "ATI HARMONIC BALANCER" < NOPE, it was a stock harmonic balancer. " STRUT TOWER COVERS" < you mean the black plastic things that come from the factory?... "BILLET ENGINE COMPARTMENT COVERS" << where? nothing billet in there........Now this is may favorite and Im extremely pissed off about " EXTENSIVE CUSTOM TUNING" < I drove this car from TEXAS to UTAH and it was dangerous to drive with its random spurts of acceleration and not to mention the pinging from the bad "EXTENSIVE CUSTOM TUNING" even running 93 and up octane. So far Im $3000+ in to this car on top of what I paid for it just trying to get it to run correctly, thats not including the possibility that the motor is shot due to getting a consistent P0330 KNOCK SENSOR code that was disabled by the "EXTENSIVE CUSTOM TUNE"... OHH did I mention Bill Westerfield will not answer my calls or return voicemail since I picked up the car, BUT he did answer ONE call from a dealership here locally regarding the programmer that should have came with the car and was quoted saying "if its not with it we dont have it -CLICK-"

Buyer Beware!!! I thought I was safe buying a car from these guys cause I have friends who have purchased a lot of cars with them in the past. My friend told me to go look at this 2011 Roush Mustang. I looked at the car and it was super clean inside and out. Took it for a test drive and noticed it didnt want to go into gear easily (6 speed car) my friend drove it as well and said the same thing. We was assured that it was only a clutch that needed to be bled. Me and my friend was like was can do that no problem. Well that was a flat out LIE! I talked to a mustang shop and they said this car has a self bleeding system and would have fixed itself already. Turned the car into the mustang shop and they said it was going to be $2,300 buck to replace a slave cylinder, clutch, master cylinder all that was bad. I contacted Bill at Texas Hot Rides (whom is the person who said it was a clutch needed to be bled) and he said he told us that it could have been a clutch issue during the purchase (witch was a flat out lie) This was all within a few weeks of purchase. After the repairs were gone Bill offered to take the car back! Come on man, I really feel in love with the car and wanted to keep it just wanted them to pay for the repairs. In the end Bill paid for $300 of the 2,300. Needless to say they will lose more money then the $2,000 bucks that they should have paid for my repairs, all my friends will never do anymore future purchases with them. Oh yeah Bill said he would give me some aftermarket parts, 5 months ago and I still waiting.
