Talked with Chris a few times during the week about a vehicle that was in his inventory. His description of the vehicle was that of a clean, well taken care of, pampered truck. When asked about damage Chris disclosed that the only damage was on the lower, right front portion of the bumper. I was okay with that small amount of damage as long as the rest of the truck was in near perfect shape, as I was told. I arranged financing and a ride out to Chriss dealership (6.5 hours round trip) to discover multiple scratches, scuffs and an overall average condition truck. I was also shocked to find paint peeling in the door jamb, along with corrosion or rust bleeding back through the poorly repaired area. When asked about this area, Chris immediately went into damage control mode and started pointing out the door had never been off, and it was a Texas truck so there shouldnt be any corrosion. Upon further inspection the frame and body mounts had significant amounts of rust and even the bed bolts in the upper portion of the bed were showing signs of rust (even with a soft tonneau). The other issue I had with the truck was the extreme amount of wear on the outside edge of the front, right tire. Chris offered to have an alignment shop check the alignment due to my concern, which was appreciated, however closer inspection showed a lower control arm with flaking paint and sever rust around the flaked paint, which could indicate a collision and bend point. I understand a vehicles history cant be known by a dealer every time, but the way this particular vehicle was described all week was horribly misleading and led to a disappointed potential customer.

At first everything seemed really great. I got my dream car! Two days later, the combination meter failed on my 08 Prius which led me to immediately call Chris Fischer (owner of DFW Select) who supposedly took it home to check it out himself and gave me a loaner car in the meantime. The combination meter failing meant that I could not see my dashboard, amount of gas I had, mileage, or speed so it was a very serious issue. Then the weekend passed and he said he never experienced any issues with it, so he gave it back. The car began giving me issues again to the point that I personally took it to an official Toyota dealership to be serviced (Freeman Toyota). They said luckily the combination meter was still under warranty, but I would have to pay to replace the frame and brackets holding it in place. No prob. Was less than $100 fix. They called me the next day and said they would have to order the combination meter as it was on backorder so they would hold my car until it arrived. That ended up being 4 weeks held at Freeman Toyota, but they did repair it well. Once I got my Prius back from them all nice and running smoothly, I emailed Chris Fischer a copy of the invoice and kindly asked to be reimbursed since I did notify him of the problem within days of purchasing the vehicle. Chris refused since he is no longer in business and since "the 30 day time frame passed" that he was willing to help in despite the fact that he never mentioned any kind of time frame on the issue. He repeatedly told me that he wanted to make sure it was in good condition before we went our separate ways.

Bought a 2006 Ford Explorer which I expected to drive for two years but unfortunately the car started overheating and losing coolant right after a few days we drove it back. I spent a lot of time and money trying to fix the car, i.e. replacing radiator and water pump, as well as thermostat, new coolant...but nothing help. The car keeps losing coolant and I am not able to drive it any more. Finally we traded in this car at Toyota. When we traded it, the mechanic in Toyota told us the car has blown head gasket and it is why it keeps losing coolant even though there is no external leak. This engine problem is so severe that we lost $2000 of the value. I am not rich and $2000 is a large amount of money to me...However I remember when we asked Chris whether the car has any issues before we bought it, he just said that the motor of a window is clicking and he fixed it, other than that there is no major problem. I understand that the car is sold as-is and by the policy the buyer is responsible for any repair after purchase. However the thing I feel disappointed is that he hide such a severe engine problem. No one will be happy to drive home a car with engine problem that cannot be discovered during a few minutes of test driving. So why not just told us the problem? This is not the correct way to make more than $3000 profit by selling your customer a junk car. This is why I give a one star.

I had a great experience purchasing a 2013 Lexus RX450h from DFW Select Motorcars last month. The price was much better than anything else I found online, there were a lot of clear pictures to peruse in the listing, and the salesman/owner Chris responded to emails promptly. I also appreciated the opportunity to view the CarFax free of charge. When I test drove the vehicle, it was exactly as it appeared in the pictures - in excellent condition. The car came with pristine floor mats and a drivers manual but had only one key. Chris offered to make arrangements with a local dealer to have another key made and he picked up the tab for that, without my ever having to ask for it. The dealer location is in an industrial area of South Dallas but I felt very safe there, even as a woman by myself. I would welcome the opportunity to buy a car from Chris at DFW Select Motorcars again and would recommend him to others without reservation. Chris was professional and courteous and made the entire purchasing process very easy. You also cant beat his prices.

Most rewarding experience: We have bought alomost a dozen cars in our lifetime but nothing was as relaxing and rewarding as the Lexus 350 we bought from Chris Fisher. All within a four hour period we found the car, test drove, loved it and bought it. Chris maintains an inventory of very desirable cars, cuts out the sales talk and the going back and forth games the salesmen play. There is no bait and switch either - all the cars are there for you to see and choose. Go to their website and you can see what you like and want and go straight for it. You get a dependable car for a good value. When we need another car, we will be at DFW Select Motorcars without a doubt and will recommend it to anyone.

Purchased a Lexus GS450h approx. 4 yrs ago from DFW Select. I tried the routine hangeling/negotiating to no avail and I need to add that I secretly baulked at Chris firmness. In the end, I drove home with a car with less than 30k miles on it and have not had a single day of trouble from this exceptional vehicle. As long as DFW Select is in business I will use them and refer anyone I know to them. I have researched vehicles/prices across the country and can find no one who can touch the quality for the price he ask. He is FIRM... Do you homework, he knows what he is doing and in fact-- takes pride in finding rare jewels like my black/black hybrid vehicle!
