This is not a review about the service, but rather about the change in service. My mother has been using the delivery service for a few years now, but Safeway has decided that it will no longer deliver to her location. My mother is along in age and getting around is not easy for her, so it disappoints me to find out that Safeway feels that the delivery service to her area is not cost effective anymore. I understand the need to make money, so instead of dropping service to certain areas, why not create a distance based fee system. My Mom would pay it to get her groceries. This is my only complaint about Safeway the company not the customer service representatives.

worse safeway in california. in the evening theres a rush and the two registers that are ope line up down to the other end of the store. while other potential checkers gather in front and giggle and joke with each other. the store is dark and dingy. wear a sweater its freezing in here. I got to store packed items from the deli and both had a long blach hair in them. they seemed to be perpously placed. the miority children run wild. I dont mean to sound racist but its true. nob hill is leaps and bounds above. though it cost more trust me its worth it.

This is our neighborhood Safeway for the last 5 years. A lot of the staff has changed and for the most part its, a good thing. The newer checkout people have been courteous and helpful. Produce is usually very good but I never buy seafood, here. Nob Hill for that. Parking can get tight on holidays or before a big game. I havent found a deli worker that knows about thirds. Like a third or 2 thirds of a lb. of sliced turkey. Stick with 1/4 1/2 or 3/4 and you should OK. Would be nice to see this place get a "facelift" or a redesign.

My husband likes shopping here but I prefer Nobhill. Safeway tends to have lower prices but it is so cramped and dark. There usually is a long line when I go there and the lines go right into the aisles. They need to increase the space between checkout and the store displays which is a fire hazard right now, in my view. Otherwise, I like the staff who try to be friendly even when they appear stressed. Adding more lighting and space will make the shopping experience more pleasant.

This place is medicore compared to local Nob Hill grocery store. Typically the quality of the produce is low except for the prepackaged goods. The service has always been mixed with good and bad experiences. Bottom line is I have taken most of my business to Nob Hill and only come if Im in a pinch.

Long lines all the time. Even when parking lot is basically empty. Staff is horrible at customer service in store, especially deli and bakery. They basically try an ignore you at all costs. Would rather drive to Morgan Hill Safeway. Its cleaner, lots of checkers and the staff arent ghetto.

Still has a terrible wifi login screen. Even Walmart has evolved and removed the login screen. McDonalds, Home Depot and Lowes login screens are better. I bet Safeway has bugs. They even have a Starbucks here, but still no internet upgrade with that. Also, Hearthstone cuts out a lot.

Its a Safeway. Nothing wrong with it, but there are better options in town. The store is nice enough, but its a bit dimly lit, and the aisles are little cramped. Seems to be more crowded than the Nob Hill foods just down the street, with checkout lines taking a little longer.

I love my Safeway! Always an amazing selection, the people on most shifts know me after shopping there for years, if they are out of an item I need (which is rare) there is always an alternative option, and I wont buy fresh produce (especially Organic) anywhere but a Safeway.

Great sushi, but you have to get there when she is making it so you get extra ginger and horse radish. The bagels are really good early morning when they are fresh. The employees are all pretty cool. I go there every day, I work next door, know them well. I recommended it.

Ive been going to safeway since it open. Not sure when,but its been a long time. I enjoy the great customer service and support with all checkers. The produce is always fresh and the meats are good too, and plus I know were everything is,

The manager alice is completely rude to the people who call the store. She has no respect and does not allow people to get a word in at all. I advise people to stay clear of this safeway cause she makes the employees there miserable.

Needs to train quite a few employees in customer service. Im not saying they are all bad, in fact, there are a select few that I would say are by far top notch customer service associates. :)

Very slow service, cold chicken strips, and they sell some really crappy produce. Take the time to go to the one on Dunn in morgan hill. I shop at Safeway a lot. This one is a stinker.

So overall I like Safeway, but I bought a pre-paid gift card to buy a game and the card wasnt loaded with the money i paid for. They never gave me a refund after I asked several times.

The customer service is excellent! They found a broken egg in my carton and ran back to replace it. They always go over and above to help me out - and always very friendly.

I like this store. Its well kept and pleasant. The prices are good, especially if you use the buy one, get one free and other specials. Produce is very nice.

This place is cool, only reason I dont give a 5 star is a lot of the time the wait times for cashiers is really long which makes it hard to be in and out
