I have given up on Safeway. The small aisles crammed with cardboard displays make it impossible to shop without being in someones way. The sales are made to confuse you and most times dont ring up correctly. Today I didnt get the $5.00 off $25.00 or more of my purchase and the dog treats rang up $3.00 higher than advertised. I was humiliated having to stand there seeing the rolling eyes of people behind me. While the poor cashier desperately tried to fix their errors yet again! I havent been shopping there for awhile now, but thought Id give them another chance. From now on my store is Winco!

Kelly the cashier was very rude to my combat disabled veteran husband. He cant stand up long so we went in the fast lane and she yelled at him for being in the 15 item line. We did have more than 15 items but all lanes were 2x long as fast lane. She wasnt wearing her badge so he ask her name she was soooo rude to him. We choose to shop at Safeway because its a cleaner center than your competition a shopping center down the street. We were told by previous checkers that if your disabled you may stand in any line. Maybe she needs to be talked to for her rudeness.

Store is extremely clean and the vast majority of the staff is super friendly and helpful. I shop here every day and have for the last 4 years. Everyone knows me by name. That being said, over the last year or so, their meat department has gone downhill terribly. The two individuals primarily working back there are brash and rude and the meat is junk/poorly cut. I now buy my meat (which is about $50 to $75 a week) from Raleys. I tried to tell the store GM, but he just pushed me off. 4 stars overall, even with the problems.

I stopped shopping here altogether because they hired a bunch of new employees who do not have good customer service skills at ALL. On the simplest matters they are clueless about how to handle it in an appropriate way. You do not make your whole line wait and continue to grow while you argue with a customer about a price difference of $0.34. The customer is always right, remember that? Especially over $0.34. Please train your employees in customer service, if you are going to put them in a customer service position!

I moved to Lincoln a short time ago this is a nice Safeway. I called to find out if they had a recycling center by phone today and A man answered and told me they had a location behind the Safeway store and gave me the hours daily etc. He did not need to do any of that . He was very nice. And the recycling person behind the store Arnold was very nice also.

Lincoln Safeway is not only the best Safeway ever, but also its just an awesome grocery store. The management are top notch, always making sure there is a great selection of fresh produce, including a wide variety of organic options. There is consistently good quality products, and the staff is exceptional.

The website suggests people "typically spend 20 minutes here", the whole truth is that people typically spend "20 minutes in line here". Why bother having 8 checkout lanes if the max you open at peak hours is 3. Why not staff to meet customer needs while being respectful of your customers time?

Very clean and cashiers are quick, so long lines arent a bad wait. Deli is great too. Love the sandwiches! Fruits are great and arent over ripened like some other grocery stores Ive been to in lincoln. My favorite is the stuff the make in house and sell like the guacamole or cut up fruit.
