My friend Gordon Prince at Taylor Motor Company in Waynesville arranged for me to drive a 2012 F150 Lariat while my Explorer was being serviced. What a sweet truck! Inside, I found just about all the nice things you can have inside a vehicle, like a climate control system, navigation system, audio system by Sony, Microsoft Sync, backup camera, and probably a few things I didnt have time to discover, all controlled through a large LCD display in the center of the dash. To call the interior "roomy" is probably an understatement. Im 64" tall, so I need lots of legroom. With the drivers seat in a comfortable position for me, there was still enough room for me to sit in the back behind the drivers seat! The leather upholstery was attractive and comfortable, and Im sure the heated seats would be nice on a cold winter morning. Short of hiring a limo, I cant think of a more comfortable environment for four or five people to travel in. The thing that impressed me most about this truck was the drivetrain. Having noticed the EcoBoost badge on the door, I expected a V-6 engine. After driving this truck a while, curiousity forced me to peek under the hood, where I was astonished to discover that the engine displaces only 3.5 liters - half a liter less than the motor in my Explorer! I have come to expect that when a small motor does a big job, it happens with relatively high RPM and a bit of noise. Not this one. Not at all. The six-speed automatic transmission smoothly keeps the engine doing its job - usually under about 2,000 RPM unless you really floor it. For moderate acceleration, just press gently on the pedal and the EcoBoost V-6s combination of direct injection and turbocharging gives you what you asked for with no drama. Speaking of that turbocharger - the only way I knew it was there was by the engines performance. There was no turbo whine or wastegate noise that I could notice. On I-40 from Waynesville to Asheville, I dont recall the transmission downshifting at all, although the engine and transmission operate so smoothly and quietly I might have missed it if it did happen. The trip computer reported an average of just under 16 MPG over my day and half of mixed city and highway driving, which I find impressive for a vehicle of this size, weight and comfort. Id love to take one on a highway trip someday and see what sort of mileage would be achieved. All in all, a very impressive truck. Someday, when I win the lottery... Until then, Ill be driving my Explorer, which is in good shape thanks to Ricky Ramey and the service department.

Went here from out of state to purchase a used F250. The salesperson, Colby, was great, very nice and helpful but that is all I can say good about my experience here. Went to look at a specific truck with a specific budget I had to stay within. I had just looked at a similar priced truck at another dealer (the other dealers truck was about $500 more expensive) and that dealer hit my numbers exactly but after finding several issues with the truck I decided not to purchase. We found this dealers truck online and drove a few hours expecting to buy it because we figured that other dealer hit our numbers so should this one given their truck was actually a little cheaper. Well that didnt happen (not even close) and in fact the finance manager tried to make it out like we were telling a story about the other truck when I mentioned it to him. He gave me the numbers, I told him that we couldn’t do that and after trying to disprove the story about the other truck called the salesperson to tell him we didn’t have a deal. We left and went straight to Asheville Ford where they were absolutely outstanding. We were in a hurry at this point and in less than an hour there we ended up getting a newer model truck that was 2 grand more expensive than the one at Taylor’s AND was within our budget. Colby is the only reason I gave this dealer 2 stars..

Travis Singleton in the Service Department and all colleagues that we worked with at Taylor Ford were kind, respectful, and considerate, demonstrating technical and project management skills that were remarkable and greatly appreciated. The Team at Taylor Ford ensured that I was kept informed on the progress of vehicle repairs (Project Management by Travis), that any technical attributes were thoroughly explained (Technical expertise by Jim a Master Mechanic in my opinion), that a courteous and considerate driver (i.e. Max) was available to take me to/from the Service Department as needed (on a back-country road not for the faint of heart), that others in the Service area greeted me with enthusiasm and a smile (thank you Ricky), that a Service Manager (i.e. Dominic) followed-up/ met my mother at her house, and that safe transportation was available at the end of each day - so that I could care for my 81 year old mother while her Mercury Mariner was being repaired. My deepest appreciation and gratitude to the Team at Taylor Ford!! Thank you for being professional, providing excellent customer service, supporting a positive work environment and ensuring that my mothers vehicle is safe, in order to continue her golden year adventures with confidence, comfort and great joy!

I had been looking for a new car recently. Had looked at several different vehicles because for the last 16 years Ive driven Toyotas. I had been to Harrys in Asheville one day & the next day I came to Taylor Motor Company. Joseph McKinstry immediately came over to greet me. I realized as we talked that we had bought a new Jeep from him at another dealership a couple of years ago. I drove a 2014 Escape SE, a Titanium and a used Titanium. Joseph explained everything about the vehicle to me. I left and didnt go back for about 2 weeks. I kept checking on the internet, along with other dealerships, Honda, GMC, Buick and Toyota. Then I saw that Taylor Ford had a white 2014 Escape Titanium. Joseph just happen to call to touch base with me that morning. I came back to the dealership. Drove that car and bought it. Joseph is excellent!!!! Very polite, understanding and wonderful about explaining to me again about this vehicle. And helping me with everything I needed to get it set up. That helped me more then anything to get adjusted and comfortable in my new car. I will tell everyone I know to come see him if they are in the market to buy a Ford. Thank you Joseph!!! Sincerely, Donna Jean Word

I have bought a lot of cars during my life but found this dealer to be one of the exceptional dealers. They are friendly, honest and offer great prices. NO DOC FEES which means they do not play games. What they say will be done. I drove 100 miles to pick up my used car and was concerned I would be given the run around since it was all telephone calls prior to my purchase. I was surprised how professional they were and the Mustang was as promised. This was a 12 year old car but their description was perfect. I highly recommend this dealership. My compliments to my sales person, Leslie Baker and the management team for making this a professional experience. Lastly I had some work done on the car and they paid a good portions of the bill. When I signed the contract it stated there was no warranty but when a couple of unknown issues were found they stepped up and helped with the bill. How many dealer would do that? NOT MANY, only the best dealers..
