Their produce and quality is legendary! Had the experience more that once where I or someone else was complementing the Hostess on some fruit in season or other pickings of the produce section.... Shed (or occasionally he) would smile and say two words: "Nob Hill". Nothing more was required ... and the conversation would shift to the experience of others around the table with this wonderful market. When you talk to the staff it doesnt take long to figure out why this is the case.... Once I was looking for peaches, saw how wonderful they looked, and asked how they were..."These arent quite at their best," I was told, "Try again in about two weeks." So I only bought a couple (they were still pretty good), but two weeks later ... WOW! Its like theres this new thing called a "peach" that comes to Nob Hill, and none of the other stores carry it! Of course, Nob Hill cant do much with the mass produced mega-brands, but they have em... But the butchers best is a superb selection (Ive only sampled the fish there ... and Im mostly judging by the variety of the presentation) ... That said, I can vouch for that department as well. Oh. And I am not an employee, supplier, neighbor, owner, or even a miniscule share holder. Just a very happy customer. (And I admit to buying the generic staples at pretty much anyplace thats close and convenient to home. So Ive sampled and compared other stores ... which can be hugely more than adequate in many cases, of course.) (Must keep this review positive for all concerned; I believe that mud slinging where it is not truly warranted should be avoided.)

This Nob Hill is is really great! Ive only been to one (Nob Hill), but if this store is any indication of what the rest are like, then Nob Hill definitely has a leg up on other grocery stores. They have a wider variety than stores like Lucky and Safeway, but they also carry higher prices as a result. I would classify Nob Hill as more of a "boutique" grocery store because its very apparent theyve put a lot of time and money into providing a wide variety with a store design that isnt characteristic of most supermarkets; for example, Nob Hill has a rustic interior with warm lighting, a sandwich shop, coffee bar with lounge seating area, and more. Nob Hill is kind of like the West coast equivalent of Wegmans (a semi-regional store based in Western New York).

One of the nicer supermarkets in the area. Apart from a considerably large grocery section Nob Hill Foods also has a Peets with lots of seating, a deli counter, and a buffet where you can create your own combo (meat, veggies, bread, etc.). If there is a "dine in style" then this must be "grocery shop in style". The store is very clean and stuffed with everything you need. Great for breakfast, lunch, and take-away dinner. Theres also a US Post - however, they only shop domestically so if you have international shipments youll need to go to the main US Post office in Mountain View.

Post Office service center is open -8pm and on some weekend days. Deli items are good, eating area is good for a grocery store, friday nights they do wine tastings, their Peets coffee is open from early until about 8pm. They have a Chinese Deli but I prefer Ranch99, but my wife prefers NH so I buy r99, bring to NH, buy Peets coffee or tea, and a whipped yogurt for dessert. Where else can you get all that for a reasonable price?

Make sure you sign up for their rewards program, because you really do get custom coupons sent to you. Staff are nice. Great having Peets there. You can buy a box of muffins and then sit there at tables eating and drinking coffee.... Fun watching the Google Express folk running around picking items - I help them when I can... If they did a SCUBA diving pattern, it may be more efficient.

Very nicely laid out store. Its easy to find what Im looking for. They have a pretty good selection of produce, both organic and conventional. They carry some of the same brands of frozen items as Whole Foods but for cheaper. The only thing that is missing is a better selection of breads in the bakery. This location also has Peets and USPS services.

One of the biggest and cleanest Nob Hill Foods Ive ever been to. This place screams premium which gives you a sense of quality that u dont get from competing stores. However with such a big place, finding things can be a little hard and getting help proves difficult too. Will definitely come back here though if I need anything from NHF

Good store and friendly people. Their only problem is in stocking: they regularly run out of things that sell well, and that I like, and tend not to re-stock it. Id also suggest that they find some other method of helping folks find items. Having clerks on the floor or little phones for asking would help.

Kity Daemon

Easily more expensive than all the other local grocery stores-yes, even Whole Foods. The brands available here can be purchased for significantly cheaper anywhere else, and higher quality food can be purchased at places like Whole Foods for comparable prices. Im not really sure why anyone shops here.

The Amazon locker and lottery machines rarely work here. Most of the time the Amazon screen is dead and BOTH lottery machines has out of order signs on them. Terrible maintenance at this store. Also the groceries arent cheap here either. Sprout and TJ is much more preferred for pricing.

Very well stocked clean and amazing selection of items. As a single earner and growing boy they provide suprisingly low prices and high end quality of food. Will never go back to Safeway or Whole Foods again. Helpful employees too.

The produces section is really good. Not as good as a farmer market but almost The beat thing is the Dutch Crust french bread. It is crunchy outside moist and soft and fragrant on the inside. Beat in the Bay Area, IMHO.

By far one of the nicest nob hill stores in the area. Its huge and has a great selection compared some other smaller stores. Staff are super friendly too and always want to chat and make sure I found what I needed.

I come here for the Peets Coffee shop in the store. It has a full menu which they do a respectable job of replicating. Not as good as an actual Peets, but if youre a real Peetnik its still better than Starbucks.

Typical grocery store with all that you need. They have a deli and it also serves sushi and poke! They also serve sandwiches as well. Prices are fair and you can find healthy options available

My favorite grocery store They always have the Sobe Lifewater Black and Blueberry zero calorie drinks I like to buy And everything else. For organic products and fresh produce it is the best

I prefer this to any other grocery store. Clean, great selection and well organized. Parking has several electric car charging stations so you car top off you battery while shopping.

There is a large selection of items, including a variety of hard to find ones. There is also a fairly large organic produce section. My favorite supermarket in the area.

Huge store, but incredibly confusing layout. Even with lots of people in there, it feels empty. I always vaguely feel like like Im on a set for a zombie apocalypse.
