wow,,did i wish i read these reviews before,,,, this is exactly wht im goin thru.. and i knew i wasnt the only one,,,, also wouldnt refund or credit appliances that they havent even ordered,,,,, the owners really need to step up and stop turning the cheek and own up to the bad service and foul mouth ....i had it when the person there claims to be one of the owners by the name of sam cursed not only once but twice after not able to keep his composure,,,, if they would of refunded me my appliances before anything was even built or even called in not even delivered ..my family would be three weeks of delays for wrong cabinets and sam crumbled up our order and demanded we go somewhere else,,, which i agreed and then asked politely to refund my appliances which they refused and said they were special order,, i was,,there not even here our kitchen wasnt goin to be done until four weeks from then,,, but they held there ground and refused to over and over,, but they were all nice and polite selling it to us ..actually forcing us to buy it there so they can make or buiild our cabinets custom so they fit nice,,,,, i could not believe my eyes how this salesperson acted especially sam ...making a fuss and almost pouting like a kid ... this person then had the nerve to curse me on speaker phone with my son and wife listening,,after i had to finally contact him by phone because tex messages were not getting me knowhere but three weeks of running around,,,, and still not correct,,,,i kept asking for the owner to call us back and sam was the only person who kept calling us ...my question to the real owners ,,,how do you let this matter continue to occur under your eyes and not take your customers more serious,,,, i have photos of the cabinets that were wrong and mis cut and the tex messages from employees that work there saved apologizing for sams choice of words ,,cursing and him feeling bad for letting his temper the best of him,,,,,,very sad but all the truth ,,,and proof to provide to the real owners who want to step up,,,,, i would start off by apologizing for there employees remarks or should i say someone who claims to be high in there job... SAM,,,,, and not try like he has been doing and try to over see there mistakes,,,, but honeslty never ever expected this much turmoil from a company who strives to say there #1 and advertise all over the place,,,, customers should be heard and respected not cussed at and have fingers pointed when its there mistake,,

My experience with the staff & service at Direct Applicance was exceptional. Ronnie was a wealth of information & patiently flawlessly guided us through our rather extensive purchase. I shared the below concerns with him, he sincerely apologized & said the installers would call me; however, to this date no call. My rating would easily be 5 stars if not for the installation. Craig was a very nice guy, as was his assistant, however the install was very sloppy i.e. fingerprints all over our stainless steel appliances & the refrigerator alignment is was not close to level. I had them return but just got silly excuses with no resolution. Sadly, the doors hit my custom cabinets & wall when fully opened so I have to continuously pull the refer out. Ive hired a reliable young man to correctly align/level the refer & install a block to keep it from rolling backwards.

They were very friendly when selling the appliances (we bought over 5 major appliances), gave us great deals. However, when we realized we couldnt use one of the appliances we ordered because it wouldnt fit, they adamantly refused to refund, exchange, or give us credit. In fact, they were extremely rude. They stated it was a special order (because it wasnt in stock) and that is their policy. So, we were stuck with an appliance worth over $500 that we couldnt use. Hopefully we can sell it on one of the online auctions (at a loss)

Have been buying appliances from them for over ten years. The thing with these people is to have a good knowledge of what you want and dont want before you go in there. Take what they tell you with a grain of salt. Its hit-and-miss whether you get a knowledgable and helpful salesperson. If they make an offer, get it in writing. They contract with Action Appliance for the installations of some appliances and those guys are rude and unprofessional.

Honestly should be 6 stars the service was incredible. On top of that they offer so many free events, Cooking lessons and sponsor many different community functions and are very active and generous for the city of Modesto. Ron and Colleen are truly some of the best people I know very Professional, Courteous, and understanding professionals when it comes to appliances will definitely go back.

Purchased another great kitchen from this locally owned and community-active store. Have used McHenry location since it opened, and now we also frequent their Outlet location in downtown Modesto. There is a huge difference in service and personal attention when you purchase from a locally owned store, and Direct Appliance has always done right by me and my neighbors.

Asked 2 differed Direct salespeople a question regarding the life of a water filter on a refrigerator. They each provided me two different answers at the same time. They just sat in their chairs, argued and laughed. Waste of a visit to the McHenry Avenue store. Never again

Extremely pushy sales staff and a flooring contractor was who the sales person tried having me hire as a general contractor to remodel my kitchen. Horrible service and terrible recommendations, Ill never go back!

Dont bother wait all day for an appointment, they knock and walk if your install will take too much time. Wont ever use them or refer them again. Too bad. Been a customer for 15 years.
