Ive come here on numerous occasions, and I always leave here feeling like I was invisible. I usually walk in and there is no one there to either greet me or ask me if I am looking for something in particular. (I didnt even know this was common practice until I took the online survey). Whenever I actually do need help, there is never anyone around to ask. Yesterday was the last straw. A friend of mine and I walked in to this store and as usual, there was no one there to help us. We didnt think anything of it, because, what else is new with this place?! Anyway, I decided to try out the Anastasia (sp?) brow products they had but wanted a demonstration. A very pleasant (probably the most pleasant store associate Ive ever met at this store! An aberration, obviously!) woman asked if I needed anything and I told her my concerns. She matched my eyebrows with the appropriate pencil color, sat me down at the Beauty Station and told me she would send someone over to help me. After waiting about five minutes, a young woman that had been standing around, about 3 feet from me, came over to help after the other woman walked back over and told her to. She did not say hello, did not introduce herself, only took the product from the counter and while I was facing the BACK OF THE STORE, (not the mirror) "demonstrated" how to apply the brow pencil. When she was done, she said "thats it". No explanation, no attempt to sell the product or anything else, nothing. I repeated to her what I was hoping for and she told me "you just apply it like a regular pencil". I was hoping for a more elaborate explanation, maybe something including what other products I could use with the pencil to make my eyebrows look thicker, but she was extremely unpleasant and not helpful. I just told her thanks so I could get away from her negative energy faster. For the last time and final time ever, thanks for nothing Sephora Forest Hills! I am both sorry and frustrated I have wasted our time all these years. No worries though, you wont be seeing me ever again.

I normally come here and I never had a problem. I really really REALLY adore a colored lady who I believe goes by the name of Reyna. She was very kind, very helpful, very patient, and took her time to give me and my family samples of what we wanted, everything. This woman should be like, the manager. Staff is kind, I never had a problem with them. I really wish they had smaller brands such as Neutragena (I believe thats how its spelled) and others. The only problem is (well, I wouldnt even consider this a problem), sometimes I have caught very unusual people who work at the cash register. I saw a transgender man, and another man who had a extremely girl-like voice, and it seemed a bit odd to me. In my personal opinion, this is not very professional for Sephora, and I think they should hire more formal people. (No offence to transgenders or gays all around the world!)

I normally dont do reviews but given how terrible some of the reviews are I had to add my two cents. I am brown skinned but did not feel discriminated against in any way. When I browse at Sephora I like to be left alone without being hounded and so this place worked for me. I was browsing and playing with make up for almost an hour and half, and during that time only one on the workers approached me for assistance. I also had to step out to fill the meter on my car and the woman by the door held my items for me and even grabbed me a basket. I over heard the employees helping other customers and they seemed nice enough. A decent amount of diversity among the employees as well. I think your experience depends on what you look for, it was a great experience for me!

This is the most DISGUSTING Sephora I have EVER been too!! I NEVER write or post reviews, let alone a bad one, but this really required attention... the girls there are all horrible, talking about you BEHIND your back and literally whispering things and creating DRAMA to their clients !!!! I rarely come to this location, but this SPECIFIC FOREST HILLS location .. every encounter I Have had has been HORRIBLE. This Sephora needs new workers ASAP, I will be telling everyone I know to go to the mall or any other location and STAY AWAY from that NASTY Spanish Cashier with the raised mole on her face!! And I am NOT the first one to complain about her nasty attitude. Absolutely disgusting and will never step foot there again.

Now normally, I would agree with all these ratings about the service I receive here from the not so welcoming staff.. However, today changed my view completely and it was all because of Maria! Shes amazing and so helpful and treated me with the utmost kindness! She demonstrated her knowledge of different makeup brands in accordance to different skin types with ease. She wasnt like the other associates that would just point you to one product, disappear and leave you to tend to your follow up questions by yourself. She stayed and helped me try on several different products until we both agreed what was perfect for me. This Sephora would be rated 5 stars if they got rid of all the staff and just hired all Marias lol.

This Sephora would be infinitely more profitable if they fired every single one of their rude, nasty, and unprofessional staff. Made the mistake of asking a rep a question, instead I got an attitude and belittled for not knowing all makeup related terminology. We dont all spend hours watching Youtube videos, that is why these ladies are hired. Supposedly, they are passionate about makeup and helping others. If they are so unhappy with their profession, they would do everyone a favor and simply quit. I had an entire basket of products worth over $200 which I did not purchase. My hard earned money can be spent elsewhere, where I am valued as a customer. May I suggest, the makeup section at Nordstroms.

I have never had a good experience shopping at this location and Ive been at least 100 times. Not only does no one greet you when you walk in, but no one is ever available to help. All the sales associates are always standing around talking to each other and act very rude and dismissive when you finally manage to flag someone down to help you. If Im a customer (especially a VIB member), I deserve to be treated with some respect. If youre a sales associate, you should probably be a little less unhelpful, rude, and unhelpful. I wont be returning to this location.

I came in looking for a lipstick to match my dress for my sweet sixteen. This lady in red helped me but when I turned my back the lady was whispering about me to another client. This place is unprofessional and a poor representation of what Sephora should be. After a few minutes of helping me I could see she was getting bored so she gave me another product to try on and walked any not acknowledging my existance for the rest of my time at Sephora. I just walked out. Horrible.

Dont bother going if your skin isnt white. Stood there for 30 minutes and nobody helped despite the store being empty. If I wanted to experience racism Id have gone to Bloomingdales. They seem to forget people of color have money also, next time Ill go to Ulta or shop online. Screw you Sephora, you elitist, racist assholes.
