The first time I went in was great. I loved the clothes and the staff were friendly. The 5 times after that have not been so good. All staff that I have dealt with has made me feel like I am a bad guy for shopping there. One transaction I attempted to pay with an american express gift card...They dont accept american express. I go to pay with my chip card but my chip wouldnt read and the pin pad does not just tell you to swipe it after 3x...Then I tell the cashier just to simply enter the numbers to the card...I guess thats not allowed. 3 forms of payment I gave were not accepted. I called the bank to pay off my credit card on the spot because the chip in the credit card worked which in total took about 5 minutes. The cashier began loudly telling customers behind me that I was on the phone with the credit card company. I was blown away at that. So my last experience, on 15Jan17, I google their website and location and find their closing hours. Website says they close at 7pm on Sundays. I get there at 630pm right after work only to find a locked up store with a printed out on paper sign saying they close at 5pm on Sunday. The management does NOT seem to hire very friendly staff focused on customer service, the management does NOT seem to be very helpful because if you cant manually enter about 20 numbers your either lazy, or too dumb and surprisingly havent drowned in the rain yet. Also, the management does NOT seem to have a clue what their website says as far as hours go. I like the clothes there though which makes it all worth it.

Not well run and prices are a little high. Ive gone in 4 times and purchased nothing. Wait- it gets better. The last time I actually did try to buy a pair of jeans (they only have about 1 pair per size). I first had to find someone to tell me where the dressing room was because the signage is only visible if your next to it. The mirror was hung the height of Omar The Giant. The jeans fit and although I thought they were probably about $5 over other stores I decided to buy them. I pulled out my cc and told the cashier that the chip doesnt work but usually after inserting it 4 times the machine says to swipe it and alls good. Their machine didnt do it so like at Home Depot I told the cashier it has to be entered manually. She said she couldnt do that. Not wanting to argue I went over to the service desk where another person was patiently waiting for someone to come handle her returns. As another employee passed by us she said "if those are returns you have to go to the checkout lines". That lady turned to me and said "then why do they have a 4 foot sign that says Service and Returns?" I called to the employee saying mine wasnt a return. I told her about needing the card to be manually entered and she said shed have to speak to a manager. She disappeared for awhile and returned to say i wouldnt be able to purchase them there. Really? I have the info for the jeans and came home to purchase them online at a better price.

Very horrible experience...staff makes you feel very uncomfortable and makes you feel like a criminal, we showed up with 2 friends and my dad. Started out all fine, keep in mind we were just looking around like civilized people as my dad was doing his shopping. Shortly after employees were following us all around store, just watching us. Some of them even confronted us asking us personal questions and stuff, after multiple encounters with employees stopping us and being very awkward we decided to find my dad. As we were walking to find him one of my friend walks away from us and one employee yells at him and demands him to stay with us, anyways we get to my dad and one of the lady Is still following us around my dad asks her if there is a problem and shes like no "not at all". Im here thinking why are you following us then?...she finally leaves after a few minutes, then we checked out and leave Big R shocked at the experience we had. Big R is a nice store but if you are planning on going stay with your kids because the staff will treat them like a thief...we will probably not be going back soon.

Big R is a great store and Im super happy with the staff. I dont care about all the clothes and only go for hardware, farm supplies, landscaping and pool supplies, but the prices are great (same as Farm and Fleet) and theyre they single best/cheapest place for pool chlorine and muriatic acid. Theyll also load big stuff with a forklift into your truck for you, way faster than Farm and Fleet does.

This store has a bit of everything for you- fishing, guns, items for the home, food, and boots and clothing. Popular brands of western wear and outdoor apparel available as well- Wranglers, Carhartt, Justins, Ariat, Under Armour. Employees were friendly. Worth a stop.
