This place treats its customers like crap and think their gonna stay in business. They are way overpriced and think its ok to not accept returns when the gear they sell falls apart. To top it off these guys dont know jack about the snowboard stuff they sell. Go to REI in schaumberg or Oakbrook, they treat customers great and accept returns even after 30 days(even years if something falls apart). YOUVE BEEN WARNED. PS vertical drop is owned by the same family and treats customers like crap too.

I have been a long time customer at Vertical Drop, which is now closed. I tried out Boardsports Unlimited and have to say it exceeded all expectations. The clothing selection is the best Ive seen at any store, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and they have some killer deals (especially in the off-season). Best shop Ive found in the Chicago area for boarders. They do not offer any ski equipment (sorry skiers).

I recently rented snowboarding equipment from here for a trip to Montana, and I would recommend this place to anyone! When I called, they were super friendly and gave me lots of information. When I went in to get fitted, they took the time to make sure I had all of the right equipment for my skill level and that fit me properly...very knowledgeable! I will be sure to purchase my equipment from here in the future!

I just stopped in because I saw the sale signs in the window and was amazed at the selection they have, even during the summer off season! I was not planning on buying a jacket on a 90 degree day, but couldnt pass up the deal. Definitely check them out.
