I got my rotors and brakes done here in April. I made an appointment the day of-which I was very surprised I got. It took them 4 hours to "fix" the brakes and rotors on the back. Well, they didnt do it, overcharged me, and I had no idea until today (November 15). A few weeks later, I called about the squeaking noise and they said it was normal until about 1,000 miles after I drive it. After it didnt go away, I took it the Freemans in Harriman. That shop told me everything looked normal and the sound would go away after 500 miles. Now, the noise became so loud that I took it to another shop. The Mavis in Monroe looked at it, and within seconds told me they needed to be replaced because it was worn down and overheated. Mavis in Monroe is much better. Dont go in Middletown. They tried to tack on a $78 labor charge. After I explained and the service manager looked at how many times I brought the car back to Mavis in Middletown, he decided not to charge me. Also, Im in my 20s and a girl-so that is probably is why they thought they could get away with it. Beware of Mavis in Middletown. Update 12.17.14 My brakes are squeaking AGAIN!!! I went to another shop and looks like they "forgot" to change my rotors- so I yet again need to bring it back AGAIN to get it fixed. Mavis is just useless all around. I was told by Oscar, the service manager in Monroe hed fix it at no charge. Turn out, he lied and only put oil on it. Oh, and IF you think they have great service because they answer back to all the complaints, youre wrong. I still cant get a hold of anyone. Dont go here. EVER. Im not sure how they stay in business but I want to figure out how what they do is legal.

Dishonest. Incompetent. Went for warranty on new front tires/alignment. They marked up the inside of my car saying "it was full of junk yard parts". Strange, I did the brake pads and rotors a month ago with my own two hands, none of those marks were in there, and there are no junk yard parts! They say they will still honor the warranty on my MADE IN CHINA TIRE. Pro-rate it $15. Then pile on a $40 "rewarranty" charge and $12 mount and balance. It was a $60 tire originally! They tell me they will not honor any warranty on the tire in the future, but I still have to pay for one! Double talk, BS. I had my wifes car there in September for alignment and the steering wheel was crooked, not properly aligned. While I was there today, they had two alignments come back as "unsatisfactory" and performed in the past 1-2 days. Two in 30 minutes! Obviously they dont have a clue what they are doing! They are reluctant to give a print out after an alignment, when every HONEST alignment shop does. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

I had a bad experience at Mavis located at 130-138 Dolson Ave, actually with the manager. Awful experience. I had my vehicle serviced and all was working to par... I received an email from the company to rate the experience, I did that (but accidentally skipping over some question) and I guess that made the rating go down. That same week, the manager to Mavis calls me on my cell phone angry asking why was it that I gave a bad rating... I explained that I didnt do it intentionally but now, f**k you Mavis... F**k your boss for even calling me to question my opinion. You have awful manners and you had no right to question me with your attitude for something that was not done intentionally! They also stole my brake pads... theyre thieves!

It started out pleasant with my 4 tires purchase two weeks ago, then while the car was parked the tire went flat. I put air in it, 36psi, as the tire required. I took the car back to Mavis to have them check it, the Manager Chris concluded that it was my fault for driving it with improper air pressure, and since I didnt have a warranty I would have to purchase a new tire. After arguing for about two hours calling corporate and speaking to the Regional manager they checked the tire and stated it wasnt damaged, prior to this I had a warranty with Mavis on another car and I still had to argue with them over a defective tire. I dont suggest you do business with them unless youre prepared to exercise you patience and debating skills.

Complete scam artist went in knowing I didnt need new front brake rotors because they where just replaced but I just wanted to see how honest this place was so I said I have an appointment for the brake job special they take my keys pull my truck in and 15 minutes later the manager is calling me over telling me my rotors (mind you there new) need to be replaced I need to have my brake & power steering fluid flushed total cost was $455 I came in for a front brake job which cost $79.99+ tax. Dont trust these people the will feed you complete bs ad try to make as much money of you as possible instead of being honest truthful ppl. Wouldnt recommend this place to anyone looking for service

Tremendous lack of customer service skills. I went in to have a flat tire fixed, the guy at the counter told me it will take 30 min but 45 min later I saw my car still sitting in the parking lot. I went to ask him how long more is the wait and what came out of his mouth was you can have your key back, it will actually take 1hour 45 min. I just took my car key back and left and went next door @ Dolson tire & auto Goodyear where I was treated pleasantly and the flat got fixed in 30 min as they mentioned when I walked in. The Mavis folks are unpleasant and lack customer service skills. Do not waste your time going to them. Theyre very expensive too.

These guys here treat you like family and only have your best interest at hand. They make sure to only fix what has to be fixed and are not out for your money. Theres a student discount and always a deal you cant beat, and they are so friendly! There service is fast and all in all there prices good. I got a lifetime warranty on the tires, and the brake pads and will only be going here for car service. They do oil changes too.

Had 4 tires mounted and balanced, as well as an alignment done. They gave me a great deal and everything was done fairly quickly. The guy at the front desk was personable and courteous. I cant comment on the quality of other auto work that Mavis does, but as far as tires and alignments they are fine. I have been to other Mavis locations and frankly, was not impressed. This one is at least better than a lot of them.

Thank you ALEX for great service last Sunday. We were about to drive to a Washington DC wedding from Middletown but our tire was quite low, so off to Mavis. (Glad you guys are open Sunday ). Concerned we would be late though you took care of us in a honest, timely fashion. Appreciate! ! PS We attended the wedding on time, thanks to Alex!!
