Do not ever purchase from here. When I bought my guinea pig, we figures out she has an Upper Respitory Infection. We called Petco to see of there was a vet at the store. They said her and told us to take her in. When we asked about the vet when we arrived, the lady gave is a blank stare and called for the manager. He picked my poor rock piggy up and examined her for about 3 seconds and said, she needs peppers. Then, he told is the vet almost got fired lasts time he was with an animal, so I was pretty thankful she didnt have to go. Then, we went over to the other heavy guinea pigs and saw they were living in a cage aboitnthe size of a microwave! 6 baby guinea pigs were sitting in their own filth and huddled together in the corner. No timothy hay and poop in their food bowl. The water was almost empty as well. Then, the man who looked at her tried to well us things we dont need! All in all, I am very upset about my visits to Petco.

7 out of 10 times, you can not get help (salt water). I also spent $55 on a lion fish because they tould me I could bring the fish back if I was sick. It was sick and died Within the 24 hours I bought it. When I brought the the fish back, they tested the water and it was good, they then tould me they only refund fresh water (LIERS). They did nothing to help make this problem rite. I spent over $3,000 on my tank at petco, and I will never give them anothere dollar for any salt water fish or accessories!

Dont purchase fish from the store. You will have sick fish. Always have to treat the tank after adding new ones. Sometimes that isnt enough. I have lost two complete tanks because of their product. Sure they have a return policy but the 4.00 I would get back doesnt cover the cost of my gas. The manager said the fish became sick because of the bagging process. That is not the reason its because you dont take care of your tanks. Look around you can see the dead fish floating in them.

I go there for almost all of Black Jack and Bubbles needs. My cat and fish are perfectly fine. I take care of them properly with some advice here and there and do not blame my in-competencies on a company that is for profit. I also do not try to keep ocean fish as pets as ocean fish belong in the ocean where as domestic animals are meant as pets. Family members in this house, really.

These other reviews were very negative. They have some cheap stuff and I think it works well. I knew some former workers for this store and it isnt run the best thats certain. I think they are helpful if not all that knowledgable. But yeah, this is a cheap chain, corporate pet store in the Crossroads Commons. Its not very high class or even middle class.

I am very disappointed that Petco still carries the American Prime Cuts Ham Bones. I recently purchased one and it fractured. My dog ingested a lot of the fractured pieces. After reading reviews on the interest for this product, it is clear that this is an unsafe product and Petco should be more responsible for the items it sells.

I will not be returning to this store after the lackluster experience I had there. While shopping for fish tank accessories, I went to find a clerk to help me find the price of an item. I found someone I believed to be in management and asked for her help. She shrugged her shoulders and ignored me.

Got 5 platies and 2 plants. Platys were fine but plants had ich. Treated ich with herbtana like they suggested and then the fish got baterial bloom.... Needless to say our fish tank completely died off fish we had for years done for....

We get our dog and cat food here. Our dog loves to come with and meet other puppies their. They have grooming and puppy classes as well. They need to do a better job cleaning their bathroom though. Lost one star.

My roommate and I bought fish from there last night, and they all died within a few hours of bringing them home. Obviously theyre fish quality is exteremly poor. I do not reccommed going there for pets at all.

Have a great selection of animals and supplies. Im not sure how prices compare. Only complaint is that we have gone in on different occasions and gotten conflicting advice on fish choices and environments.

High prices and sick animals are the biggest things I have noticed about the place. Usually if I buy a pet from there I feel like Im saving it from the poor way they care for them and lack of love given.
