Today I took our Schnauzer to be groomed. We have had her groomed there about 4 to 5 times. I switched to a different groomer at Petsmart because our dog was always shaved instead of the traditional Schnauzer cut that I always ask for. Again I asked for the dog not to be shaved! The groomer calls me and says the dog is too matted to cut traditionally. I told her we were going out of town for T-day and I wanted her to look nice. I also told her we could shave her ourselves and save the $40.00! I arrive to pick her up and guess what! She is shaved again! The girl tells me she was too matted! The dog has quite thin hair and could have been washed, and combed out! She was there over the summer so it had not been that long since her last shave!!! Isnt that why we take our dogs to be groomed in the first place; because we dont have time to do it ourselves? It is all I can manage to comb my 8 year old daughters hair and my own every day yet alone the dogs! When I picture matted hair it is not at all how our dog looked! , Yes, she needed a hair cut and had some knotted hair but not something that couldnt be managed , that is why I took her to be groomed!. I have groomed her myself and it was no problem! It is my opinion that the girl just didnt want to take the time to do a good job! It is much easier to shave the dog and collect the $40.00 ! How disappointed I am! That is the last time I will take our Schnauzer to Petsmart to be groomed!

Poor, poor, poor! Posting to get attention by corporate for a friend. This was posted on Facebook originally, and I know it would not be tolerated by corporate. Im not happy at all after visiting Petsmart in Wausau, WI. First, I walk in and the cashier is on his phone, doesnt even look up to aknowledge me. There are pets without water and food (see below). No hay or pellets or water in the fancy hamsters cages. I watched two of them chew on the bars, they are starving! The baby guinea pigs next to them had a water bottle but they couldnt reach it! So I asked for a manager and brought it up to them and let them know the animals needs. The one manager half rolled his eyes and said they would fix it right away. I waited 5 minutes and nobody came. I saw 5 employees (all men) standing around. Nobody cared. Sooooo....I went two doors down to Hobby Lobby for some more shopping. I come back to Petsmart 20 min later and still nothing was done for the animals. I asked for a manager - loudly this time - and they then finally gave them some attention. Horrible service. Horrible to treat animals like this. I guarantee you that is these were cats or dogs without food and water, people would raise heck. Things have got to change there!! If not, Petsmart has absolutely no business selling pets if they cant even care for their simple basic needs. Please advise.

I applied there and took 3 times of calling them to ask them about my application. One of the managers a lady was talking to me and was very snotty to me. She asked me so you dont want to work weekends and i said yes, but if i have to work weekends i will. Then the lady said well in this industry you need to work weekends it is required to unless you take the weekend off but other than that weekends are worked. Then she said so then why did you put you dont work weekends and I said again that I dont like working weekends but if I have to I will. And she said that I was looking for full-time and this is only a part-time job and youd only be working 20 to 30 hours a week and I said thats fine and then she said you also put for the wage you want is $11 and we cant give it to you and I said thats also fine but then she said these are the reasons why we wouldnt have looked at your application and called you because of what you put down. The thing is I would of done all these things I would have worked weekends I could have been part time I wouldnt have minded that and if you needed the wage to go down then you couldve put ot down. It was just what i wanted as a wage i know that it probably wouldnt be. Anyway she said all that then she said all right bye. She was beyond rude.

Do not buy guinea pigs from here. I bought two baby guineas. Ive had mine for a week and they are sick as hell with bad respiratory infections. I noticed sneezing when I first got them but didnt worry too much. Now theyre rattling and wheezing. Took them to the vet already and he said theyve all probably got it at pet smart. They have 50/50 survival chance at this point which is beyond saddening. I spent $60 and my daughter is already attached to them as am I. I would never return them since Im sure theyd just die in their care. So mad at the whole situation. I wrote to corporate still no response "shocker". Last time I buy from a chain. Obviously their Breeders and living conditions arent that great since theyre clearly a breeding ground for illness. Ive had seven guineas in the past that I got from small local pet shops and NEVER had this issue. Disgusted! Feel bad for everyone going through what I am. Dont even get me started on the nerd working the cash register who obviously missed his game of dungeons and dragons that he had a horrible attitude towards customers. When we confronted him about being rude he just said oh well. Another highlight of this store!

Just Called there with some questions and the woman that answered the phone was A total b@#%h. I asked a question and she said NO and hung up on me. Still had questions about things for my pets and was on my way there to get supplies, not any more. They lost my business. I got 2 birds and a puppy and a 3 year old dog I was shopping for, not going there just because of her ignorance. If you dont like talking to customers dont answer the phone, do you hate your job that much or just hate people? Heading to Petco now. Called there and they were friendly and helpful.

The girl working the fish department was knowledgeable but cruel towards the fish. She aggressively used the net to catch him and when I realized I didnt have enough money with me to buy the fish, she looked extremely pissed off and threw thhe fish water back into the tank and shook the remaining fish out of the bag. So I changed my mind and left the store feeling very disrespected and empathetic towards those poor fish.

The service was bad. When trying to buy a hamster I waited 30 minutes before someone helped me. They did not even walk up to or ask if I needed anything. Then after I looked at the animals, they told me I couldnt buy it because I was 17. Now they tell me after a wasted gallon gas trip and a waste of my time. Very disappointed.
