Really disappointed in the customer service of the grooming staff member. The male worker who seemed to be the manager of the store was really friendly but the girl who was grooming was extremely rude. I work in customer service and I completely understand when days can be stressful, but that was no excuse for her attitude and behavior. I walked in with my dog for nail trimming (should only take 5 minutes and they dont do appointments for nail trims, only walk-ins). The groomer said I would have to wait 30 minutes, and so I did. After 30 min passed, she said it would be another 20-30 min. Some "walk-in". I didnt want to stay long so I asked if she could call me when she was available. The cashier girl said the groomer would be free at a specific time and that I should come in then. So I left and was planning to come back after a few hours. Right before I was about to return, I get a call that the groomer left and that she wouldnt see my dog. I asked for the manager because I was told to come at a certain time thinking that was an appointment. And this should literally only take 5 minutes. The groomer actually didnt leave - she was just to lazy to see my dog and lied about it. The manager was very friendly and told me to come in because no one would be available the next day. And so I did. The young blonde female groomer with wavy hair and gauged ear piercings was another story. She was beyond rude and had a major attitude. She was telling me that I should have started trimming my dogs nails at the age of 8 weeks for no reason - I rescued my dog when she was a year old and have been trimming her nails for two years. I have no idea why shes telling me this, I didnt have my dog when she was 8-weeks old. My dog has never had an issue with nail trimmings but I could tell that she was really scared and I truly think it was because of the groomer. My dog was twitching and I saw the groomer SHOVE MY DOG out of frustration right in front of me!!! Dont you dare touch my dog like that. She told me that I had to leave the room and I was honestly terrified to leave my dog alone with her because I thought she would harm my dog. Thank goodness the male worker came in and assisted her otherwise I would have protested. This took no more than 5-7 minutes. And at the end the female groomer said "we had to put another dog in the kennel just so we could trim your dogs nails". Cry me a river, this is your job. I dont understand why she had to be so complicated and I wouldnt trust her with any other pets. I wouldnt be surprised if shes hurt other pets because she shoved mine right in front of me. This was THE WORST grooming service Ive ever been to. They need to change their staff members or do some serious training on customer service.

Nice staff, very interested in helping you find your brand if you dont see it right away. We brought our dog in and she seemed alright with the store. The carts are wire, in contrast to the plastic carts in petsmart, so if you have a smaller dog they likely wont be able to ride in the cart without a cushion. They also have those little kiddo shopper in training carts so thats charming. The store has a little natural treats section for dog treats where it was super easy to find the brands that would not cause my poor little allergic dogs butt to explode. A++ for store organization. The store has music playing over the store speakers that might be overwhelming for more nervous animals. The aisles are also slightly narrower than petsmart, which for my own animal helped her be less nervous but if you have a horse-dog you might want to keep him home. They have one bench outside and a poop bag station near it so thats nice. Its also right by a big grassy area so if your dog needs a walkabout there is lots of space away from cars and people to take a breather.

Worst grooming salon Ive been to. Very disappointed in the staff, they lack customer service skills. I went into Pet Supplies Plus to inquire about what grooming services they offered and how much it would cost. The head employee of the grooming department was very unfriendly and couldnt be more unhelpful. They did not only give me very vague answers but wouldnt even give me a estimate of what it could cost. Ive never had a problem with a dog grooming service giving me an estimate for the cost, even if its just a range . She seemed impatient when I kept asking questions, she was not friendly, and it came off that she didnt care about her work. Ive never been more disappointed in a grooming service, especially by a petstore. I will not be going there for any grooming. I dont feel comfortable going to a salon where the staff are uneducated and rude. It is now obvious why they have very little customers on the weekend out of every other petstore Ive been to.

I hate to give a bad review but I just did not have a good first experience at this place. I was really excited for the opening and was hoping to be a regular customer since they offered a membership card but as soon as we walked in, the employees looked mad and were not helpful. It wasnt until we were walking to check out did they ask if we needed help. The girl checking us out was quiet and again, looked pissed about something. I asked her about the membership and she gave me all short and quick answers. Still clueless to what the benefits were, I didnt get one. Honestly this place has a lot of great potential. Its clean, looks great, nice location, lots of selections and has a grooming station for dogs. But unfortunately I think well stick to our Mounds. Please gather your employees together and work on their customer service as its one of the most important qualities in business. Wish you guys the best of luck!!

I am very disappointed in this Pet Supplies Plus location. I frequent other Pet Supplies Plus locations and have ever had an issue with their service or supplies. However, this location is frustratingly incompetent. I went there three weeks in a row in search of boots and a jacket (size large) for my dog, and they never had any in stock. I decided to call to see if they finally had boots in stock, and to my delight the person on the phone said they did. When I got to the store, I looked around and didnt see any boots (and also no jackets in the right size). I pulled an employee aside to see if they had any boots in stock and she told me that they in fact did not. I am frustrated with their customer service and their stock. I most likely will never go to this location again.

This place has unfriendly staff who seem to be very incompetent as another reviewer pointed out as well. They should know what products they sell and try not to misinform a customer. And if youre not sure.....dont just say I dont know or Im not sure....go look or ask someone else to help you. Customer Service 101 for dummies should be part of their employee training program. And I gave it 2 stars because the place was new, tidy, and clean.
